Je suis parti en Inde 15 jours et en suis revenu enchanté au point de me poser la question tous les jours pour y retourner définitivement.
Pas sur un coup de tête, mais réfléchi. J'ai également fait Bali, Bornéo, Thailande ... mais là, c'est le coup de foudre !
L'idée seulement de vivre mieux sans toutes les contraintes que l'on a ici. Je sais également que l'herbe n'est pas forcémment la meilleure ici, que les coutumes sont très différentes de chez nous, que je ne serai qu'un européen parmi des indiens, que je me lance dans une aventure avec un gros décalage, ...
Au point de poser quelques mois en congés sabbatique pour aller sur place 3 ou 4 mois avant de prendre une décision.
J'ai une 50aine d'années, des enfants qui sont en fin de scolarité, et j'imagine monter une petite structure dans le tourisme dans le sud (kerala, tamil nadu) avec quelque chose comme 100 k€.
Avez vous des retours, des idées, des expériences ou des conseils à ce sujet ?

y aller en touriste, et faire face aux problèmes administratifs pour s'y établir, autre paire de manches !
Bonne idée de vouloir venir y faire d'abord un séjour prolongé pour prendre la température. Beaucoup de tracas, de bakchich, d'attente, de frustration, d'arnaques, avant d'arriver au bout. Du vécu !

J'ai rencontré des gens établis là bas qui disaient qu'il fallait s'armer de patience et savoir être flexible. Mais on peut y arriver.
Après je pense que cela dépend de ce qu'on veut y faire ?

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
I believe it’s time to bring this space to life to meet pressing needs and serve the common good of society.
The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour
2) Open a mini supermarket + a modern bakery using the flour for pastries, etc.
3) Build a healthcare service
4) Build a nursery and primary school
5) Construct free housing for retired expatriates in exchange for their voluntary contributions in their respective fields.
This is a project I truly believe in, and I invite anyone interested to add their personal touch—whether through advice, guidance, or involvement.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
