Hi, is it possible to get to Ko Kut from Kaoh Kong or Khlong Yai without going back up to Trat and transiting via Ko Chang? Thanks for your replies

In October 2017, there was no boat between these two islands because there was no immigration border post on Koh Kut. You’ll have to cross the land border and take the boat from Laem Sok Pier (before Trat).

I kinda figured... thanks so much for confirming, and Merry Christmas! 😛

Updating with boat schedules—yes, it’s possible in 2025. I might actually try a Koh Kood - Koh Rong trip myself, but I don’t have a visa, so I’m not sure if I can do it by landing on the Cambodian island after getting off the boat. Not sure!

Thanks Renaud—let us know how it went once you’ve done it, and whether the Cambodian formalities were manageable on arrival. The question of formalities will still apply, though, for arrivals in the opposite direction at Koh Kood or Koh Chang.
