In deed I don't know and I don't know what I will do... because I read an article in the algerian newspaper "La tribune in may 2009) and they said to travel by train was not very safe. (ok it was for the period 2005, 2007 2008...: Train Attacks, violences, and a lot of people hurt and some of them died....
Moreover the taxi seams not really more expensive than train.
They say you pay for instance 255 DA for the train between
Annaba and
Constantine and only 300 Da for a taxi. And a lot of people prefere the second solution because it's quicker. In
France the taxi is very expensive but not in
Algeria...for me
I think it takes about 11 hours betweenn
Alger and
Annaba with the train. It's very long.
May be is it possible to save 4 hours with a taxi ?
The price I found for the travel
Alger Annaba for a couchette is 1560 Da (Scd class) and 2060 Da (First Class).
From Tunis to Annaba the price is about 12 euros for a taxi.Then change and take an other taxi for the town where you want to go to or the train.I found this information in web site (forums).
