La situation ne paraît pas si claire, je les ai contacté pour en savoir plus, voici leur réponse :
"Yes, the post you read is right, i hike up at 8th March (level 2). The officer told me that we are not allowed to do trekking at all but i saw some tourists in front did it. So i asked the officer about it, he told me that " Actually it is forbidden but some travel agencies trick them and say it was accessable. In that condition the officer could do nothing and said to us if you insists to do trekking to the top of the crater take your own risk with you.
Unfortunately, for my part we get lot of sulphur smoke and foggy at the top, rainy from Paltuding post.
We stop and get back down (50 meters from top), we cant see anything and hard to breath.
I was told by one of my friends, he is a guide in ijen anyway. He still take tourists up to
kawah ijen even the condition is level 3.
Thats the condition of ijen now..."
