New Zealand Alpine Club has 17 huts nationwide and details on these can be found on our website
under the “Huts” heading:

you would receive the member’s rate on huts and publications, plus we have a discount on the Dept of
Conservation’s backcountry huts and other member benefits as listed here:

Many other Clubs own huts throughout NZ, but the Department of Conservation would cover the widest
area. They have information centres all over the country in the areas most people would visit.

www.doc.govt.nz/ and click on the “by region” box, you can chose the
areas you are visiting and see what is available
