At
4:00 AM today, the
Tropical Storm "AMANG" {MEKKHALA"} was estimated based on all available data at
950 km east of Guiuan, Easterm
Samar (11.4ºN, 134.4ºE), with maximum sustained
winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 19 kph. Northeast monsoon affecting Luzon.

Caraga and Eastern
Visayas will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains with possible occurrence of thunderstorms. C
agayan Valley and Cordillera will have cloudy skies with light rains. Metro
Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated light rains.
The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains with possible occurrence of thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over luzon and
visayas and from the northeast to north over
mindanao with moderate to rough seas.
