Bonjour, je suis en train de regarder pour aller a Hawaii ( au début je comptais aller a sydney, mais je compte y aller une autre fois, car je ne part pas assez longtemps pour aller aussi loin).
J'aimerais aller a hawaii pour apprendre l'anglais et en même temps travailler ( car ca couter cher la-bas)
Premièrement je vais effectué une demande pour un visa j-1 ( étudient temps plein pour une durée de 3 mois ce visa). Ensuite, je me demandais si Honolulu est une belle place. J'aime bien les villes avec plein de gens à rencontrer. De plus, j'aimerais avoir une belle plages et il me semble que waikiki en est une.?
Ensuite, comme dit précédament je voudrais étudier mon anglais.
Je voulais savoir si quelqu'un connait ou est déjà été a cette école et s'il pense que c'Est bien ou a trouver cette école bonne.

Je resterait environ 1 à 3 mois ( probablement 2 mois et demi) L'emploie n'a aucune importance, en autant que je travaille :). C"Est pour cela que je me demande s'il est possible et difficile de trouver un emploie la-bas exemple dans la restauration ou hotel ou quoique ce soit ( si quelqu'un connait des places ou il embauche ou a des idée ou aller ou ou je peux trouver de l'information, faite moi signe:) )

Pour répondre à tes questions, Honolulu est un bel endroit, mais ce n'est pas le véritable Hawaii, c'est une grande ville très touristique, avec des centres d'achats, des magasins, restos, BEAUCOUP DE TOURISTES, enfin comme n'importe quelle grande ville nord-américaine. Mais...il y a les plages ce qui fait que c'est agréable d'y vivre!
le plus beau de Hawaii à mon avis c'est à l'extérieur de la ville d'Honolulu (Oahu et les autres îles).
Il n'y a pas juste Waikiki comme plage, il y en a beaucoup d'autres (voir mon blog http://hawaii.blog2b.net/9967/Les+plages+d%26%2339%3BOahu.html). Le problème avec Waikiki c'est que c'est toujours bondé, on se tanne vite d'être entouré d'autant de monde, mais comme j'ai dit il y a plusieurs plages à Honolulu et les alentours, c'est pas un problème!
Je ne connais pas l'école dont tu parles.
Pour les jobs, en 2007 le taux de chômage à Hawaii était assez bas (environ 3-4% si ma mémoire est bonne). Il y a bcp d'emplois dans tout ce qui touche le tourisme, la restauration, les commerces, etc.
Maintenant, j'imagine qu'il y a moins de boulot en ce moment mais y'a sûrement moyen de trouver quelque chose en faisant le tour des employeurs. Mais il te faudra quand même un bon anglais. Idéalement, une base en japonais (un atout pour bcp d'employeurs). Le français n'est pas très en demande puisque peu de francophones vont à Hawaii.
N'oublie pas de spécifier que tu as un visa de travail qui te donne le droit de bosser là-bas vu que tu n'es pas Américain.
Seul hic: les salaires sont assez bas à Hawaii.
Pour la recherche d'emploi, ça fonctionne comme au Canada, tu distribues ton CV partout, tu regardes les petites annonces dans le journal, etc.

Pour avoir un visa J1, tu dois obligatoirement passer par un organisme (c'est la particularité de ce type de visa) et SWAP est le seul à ma connaissance qui le fait.

J'ai reçu un email de voyage campus avec ce programme cette semaine (quand j'y suis allé la fille m'avait dit qu'il y avait des écoles d'anglais uniquement en angleterre!). Le H2-B est vaguement semblable, et si tu peux faire les demarches sans avocat (tres difficile, sait-on jamais), tu pourras economiser une centaine de dollars.
Cela ne prends pas en compte les dizaines d'heures que ton employeur va passer dans la bureaucratie pour avoir le formulaire I-129 approuve.
Cela ne prends egalement pas en compte le fait qu'il te faudra compter environ 6 mois pour avoir cette autorisation (si jamais tu l'as), par rapport au 15 jours que durent la procedure avec swap.
