J'y serai avec ma fille du 10 nov. au 17 nov.. A 68 ans, je ne cherche pas le party, mais bien connaître la vie des gens et bien sur, le soleil, la mer. etc.
J'ai quelques questions concernant cet hôtel.
Est-ce que j'ai besoin d'un transformateur 220-110 v?
y a-t-il un sèche-cheveux dans les chambres?
Quelle est la meilleure place pour changer son argent? Aéroport? Hôlel? Banque?
J'ai lu qu'on pouvait demander un forfait VIP, doit-on le demander à la réception en arrivant?
Comme j'aime bien faire de la photo, est-ce que les gens se laissent photographier facilement, bien sur avec leur consentement et rémunération?
Est-ce sécuritaire de se promener seule le soir avec les commentaires que j'ai lus concernant la prostitution et les discothèques proches?
Est-ce qu'on se fait achaler par les vendeurs sur la plage?
Y a-t-il internet à l'hôtel? (Après 4 voyages à Cuba, je sais, payant, lent etc. )
Quel forfait dois-je prendre pour voir les flamands roses et les crocodiles? Agence ou résident?

p.s. Quelqu'un m'a dit que c'était à cet hôtel qu'il avait mangé la meilleur pizza, mais ne se rappellait pas à quel restaurant.
Un commentaire en toute amitié: oui, les habitants de Cuba acceptent de se faire photographier avec gentillesse, la plupart du temps. Mais pourquoi prévoir une rémunération? Imaginez que vous vous faites prendre en photo, chez vous, dans votre quartier...
Habitués au tourisme, éduqués, très dignes malgré un niveau matériel radicalement différent, les Cubains vont apprécier la relation, l'échange, le plaisir de la rencontre. Même si on sait très bien qu'éventuellement on pourra en tirer avantage, même si certains vont carrément exiger des sous. Je peux vous affirmer qu'on va considérer avec beaucoup plus d'estime votre sourire et quelques mots d'espagnol plutôt qu'un pourboire, même motivé par la meilleure intention du monde.
Une anecdote, si vous permettez: au marché, sur le Prado à La Havane, explosion de couleurs. Mon appareil bien en évidence, je demande gentiment la permission pour un portrait. Permission accordée. Une fois la photo effectuée, le jeune homme, pour épater la galerie, très conscient de sa blague frondeuse, me demande un dollar. Je suis en fin de séjour, je commence à déceler l'humour sous-jacent à bien des situations... et je lui réponds sur le même ton qu'avec sa gueule, il en mériterait plutôt 20$. Eclat de rire général, suvie d'un échange amical et animé.
Attention, je ne suis pas en train de dire qu'il ne faut jamais rien donner. D'ailleurs, avec l'arrivée des imprimantes automatisées, je me fais un plaisir, autant que possible, de revoir mes "modèles", surtout ceux rencontrés hors des sentiers battus, et de leur remettre une copie de la photo. Surprise, incrédulité, grande émotion parfois... rien ne saurait mieux me confirmer dans mon intuition que la relation vaut mieux que les sous.
Je ne veux faire la morale à personne; je souhaite seulement contribuer à une réflexion. C'est une situation à laquelle nous participons tous en tant que touristes et voyageurs.
Oh, en passant, à Santa Lucia, ne manquez pas d'aller en excursion à la playa los Cocos. C'est à 7km des hôtels, et c'est magnifique! En pénétrant vers le lagon sur quelques centaines de mètres, j'y ai vu des flamants roses, de très très loin... et des nuées de moustiques, de très très près!
Renaldito, J'apprécie énormément votre réponse. Je vais surement en tenir compte lorsque je tenterai de croquer la vie quotidienne de ces gens.
Je parlais de rénumération parce qu'un jour, lors d'un voyage à Cuba, le guide nous avait dit de ne pas prendre les gens en photos, car ils pourraient exiger beaucoup d'argent et nous talonner pendant tout le trajet.
Mais l'idée de remettre la photo aux gens me plait beaucoup. Je vais regarder ce que je peux faire.
Et les moustiques, croyez-moi, je sais comment me protéger, j'ai vécu toute ma vie dans le nord du Québec. hihihi.

Je suis allee a cet hotel , il y a environ 2 ans , c'était correct sauf pour la prostitution. Il y a avait beaucoup de touriste sexuel a cet endroit. L'endroit est isolé, tranquille. J'y suis allée hors saison et c'était tellement vide que le buffet a fermé quelques soir pour nous servir à la carte. J'y suis allé pour le centre de plongée a coté, c'était génial, mais je n'y retournerais pas, juste a cause de la prostitution.

Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
