J'envisage de partir cet été prendre des cours d'anglais à Fort lauderdale avec Study Global.
1- Je ne trouve aucun avis, commentaire sur l'organisme Study Global.
Si vous avez une expérience avec eux, pouvez m'en dire un peu + (sérieux, qualité des programmes, rapport qualité/prix, ...)
2- J'hésite à partir en famille (comme ils le conseillent tous) ou en résidence studio. A 26 ans, j'aspire à un peu de liberté ...

je vais te répondre car j'ai été dans ta situation, je suis partie avec cet organisme sans avoir d'information sur eux et j'ai flippé car j'ai envoyé tout l'argent avant de partir. (obligatoire pour finaliser de booker le séjour linguistique)
ma destination était différente je suis partie aux usa mais je suis tombée sur une bonne école dans le sens où l'avis des élèves sur la qualité comptait.
l'organisme a été contacté par des personnes que je connais qui avaient des soucis avec une famille d'accueil (ça par contre la qualité des familles sera toujours aléatoire) et study global a contacté le directeur de l'école le week-end pour lui dire d'agir en urgence et de changer de famille rapidement.
Chose importante c'est un organisme espagnol donc dans les sessions il y a beaucoup d'espagnols et c'est très bien car il y a peu de français donc tu parles anglais. Je les avais choisis car ils étaient les moins chers sur cette destination, mais ce n'est pas vrai pour toutes les destinations. Il faut fouiller internet!

Je pars à San Diego le 7 février et je vais prendre des cours d'anglais avec Study Global également, pour cette destination (sachant que plusieurs organismes proposent cette même école) c'est eux qui me coûtent le moins cher !
En revanche vu que les familles d'accueil habitent à environ 1h de bus de l'école et que les apparts sont un peu chers j'ai décidé de loger dans une Auberge de Jeunesse (Lucky D's).
Je voulais te demander comment tu avais trouvé les cours, si tu avais progressé, si l'ambiance était bonne ... ?
Je me suis décidée à partir sur un coup de tête et j'espère ne pas le regretter alors si quelqu'un est déjà parti à San Diego ou à déjà pris des cours avec Study Global n'hésitez pas à me donner vos impressions, MERCI !!!

Je te conseille de prévoir un budget pour aller visiter LA et Las Vegas.
Tu vas rencontrer du monde à l'école pour partir un week-end c'est sûr!
Pour ton choix de logement, il y a des familles qui habitent pas loin de l'école et d'autres plus loin. De toutes façons tu devra quasiment obligatoirement prendre la tramway et je te conseille vivement de prendre la carte abo d'un mois à ton arrivée. Tu pourras le prendre en illimité et le bus aussi (pour aller à l'océan)
Au final, tu vas passer tes après-midi avec les autres étudiants (je te le souhaite) et tu vas aller à l'ouest de la ville pour aller à l'océan, plus au Sud Ouest pour aller sur l'ile Coronado, et au sud pour aller à la frontiere pour faire ton shopping aux outlets.
l'école est super les profs sont sympas, je les ai dans mon facebook!! La progression est bonne car peu de français, l'ambiance est géniale et tu auras parfois plusieurs party le meme soir et faudra choisir à laquelle aller (trop dure la vie lol)
les apparts sont un peu cher oui, mais tu pourras y aller je pense car un tiers je pense y vit. Pour les courses de bouffe je te conseille d'aller dans les mall à l'extérieur de la ville car le prix au supérettes sont chers et tu n'as qu'un choix limité.

Sinon c'est cool si ils s'occupent bien du changement au cas ou ça se passe mal, car c'est vraiment ma plus grosse crainte ( dûe certainement à une mauvaise experience).
Après au niveau des cours c'est bien? tu as fait des progrès? c'est different des cours qu'on a au lycée, enfin ds le cursus scolaire français?

Alors n'ayant pas trop de réponse sur study global lorsque je cherchais mon organisme j'ai choisi de partir avec la ligue de l'enseignement. Et j'en suis très contente, je pense déjà qu'a repartir mais ça sera pas pr tout de suite!
Prquoi la ligue de l'enseignement : car ils ont des bureaux un peu partout et que je m'etais dit que si plus tard j'avais à gueuler (je te rassure ce ne fut pas du tt le cas) je savais ou aller et je me retrouvais pas qu'avec un numéro de téléphone ou c'est tellement plus facile de raccrocher ou faire le mort! de plus c'est une association qui fait pas trop ou pas de pub donc si elle est tjrs là c'est qu'elle est sérieuse!
sinon BEA972 , je suis partie à Toronto avec cette organisme justement et je me suis régalée! pleins d'activités (bon la plupart payante mais sympa) des profs très gentils, des rencontres géniales, la famille d'accueil très accueillante puis Toronto est une très belle destination! I love Canada!

Finalement Damien part avec la Ligue de L'enseignement, il y a un bureau localement et compte tenu du décalage horaire entre chez moi et la Métropole j'ai préféré prendre localement. Sur place la personne avec qui j'ai traité me parait très compétent il y toujours répondu très rapidement à mes questions.
Ils ont l'air sérieux.
Je pourrai vous dire après son séjour ce qu'il en pense.
Nous partons à la fin de cette semaine, son séjour démarre dimanche 18/07 jusqu'au 01/08.
Cour intensif.
Il me semble qu'avec Study Global il n'y avait pas d'intervenant sur place pour répondre à d'éventuel question de la part des jeunes, il me semble, à confirmer.
Je vous donnerai notre avis fin Août.

Comme je l'ai deja indiqué précédemment mon séjour s'est très bien déroulé ...
Pour le logement, j'ai opté pour une résidence et en suis très contente : tu as la liberté de vivre à ton rythme et faire ce que tu veux.
D'autant plus que la plupart des familles d'accueil sont svt éloignées du centre ville. (j'était à 10 min à pied de l'école et de la gare routière)
L'école est très bien située : dans le quartier des affaires donc très bien desservie, la plage à 15 min en bus et à 5 min de la ville.
