Recement j'ai ete contacté par un club de rugby evoluant aux etats-unis, me proposant de rejoindre leur equipe , contre emploi et logement.
J'aurais souhaité savoir si une simple promesse d'embauche de la part de ce club (en tant que commercial) suffisait pour obtenir un visa d'un an ? Si oui lequel ? Quelle est la duree avant l'obtention de ce dernier ? Quels sont les formalités afin d'en beneficier ?

Je pensais que c'était une façon de le payer comme on le faisait ou fait encore en France pour que les joueurs aient un salaire, genre à la mairie quand ce ne sont pas de grands clubs Pro.

Effectivement, tu as raison, c'est peut-être une façon de payer les brillants joueurs internationaux recrutés à l'étranger ! 😏

Comme le dit Vazyvite , leurs methodes de recrutement sont similaires a celles des clubs francais avec les joueurs roumains, georgiens et bien d'autres...
Le club dont je vous parle me propose donc un emploi contre mes services de rugbyman.

Le site de l'ambassade américaine t'apportera déjà beaucoup de réponses. Sinon un site consacré à l'expatriation aux Etats-Unis. Ou le moteur de recherches du forum. Cordialement.
Le club doit officiellement te recruter et te sponsoriser pour le bon visa. Une fois que tu as le document, c'est réglo, mais sans ce document tu ne peux rien faire. Une promesse orale (d'embauche ou autre) ne sert à rien.
Note: Le rugby est en voie de découverte et ascension aux Etats-Unis, soit comme sport de prestige (car peu joué donc faisant office de "distinction", un peu comme lacrosse avant), soit comme entrainement/mise en condition hors saison pour les jeunes athlètes jouant au foot américain, notamment dans la catégorie 13-18 ans. Les joueurs français sont donc appréciés, à condition qu'ils parlent bien anglais bien sûr.
Pour te qualifier pour un P1 tu dois avoir un contrat pour une équipe "major league", mais j'ignore si cela existe pour le rugby. Un P1 n'est accordé que si ton nom ou ton équipe est reconnu dans un autre pays que le tien ("broadly speaking").
Tu serais donc sans doute en H2B, qui concerne les équipes "minor league", te permet de travailler et d'être payé, et qui peut être sponsorisé relativement facilement par toute équipe reconnue. Cependant, ce visa n'est que pour un an (renouvelable).
Attention: SI TU ES RECRUTE POUR UNE EQUIPE DU CHAMPIONNAT UNIVERSITAIRE, la situation est différente.
Dans tous les cas, c'est le club qui doit fournir les bons papiers, et ils doivent avoir un avocat chargé de regarder les aspects légaux. S'ils te proposent un truc illégal méfie toi, dis non et demande une solution légale.
Les Américains sont réglo, MAIS toute tentative de fraude est impitoyablement punie, on ne "s'arrange" pas là-bas.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
