Plantons tout d'abord le décor : depuis de nombreuses années mon rêve est de m'installer en Amérique du Nord. Une visite d'une semaine (courte, soite) à Montréal en 2005 n'a fait que confirmer cette envie de m'installer outre-Atlantique. Aujourd'hui, j'ai l'impression de stagner en France, et j'ai décidé d'enclencher le processus, et de prendre toutes les informations nécessaires afin de faire ma demande de résidence permanente 🙂.
Mon profil : jeune femme de 24 ans, célibataire, titulaire d'un BAC+4 Chargée de Développement Commercial avec une spécialisation dans les achats à l'international (formation de deux ans en alternance avec une école de commerce mais pas une ESC - diplôme obtenu en 2007). Je travaille depuis 2005, et les domaines dans lesquels j'ai pu exercer sont notamment les achats/approvisionnements mais également l'amélioration de processus en production et encadrement d'équipe. Je parle français, anglais (935 au TOEIC 2006) et espagnol. J'ai passé 3 mois à Madrid pour un stage, et 7 mois en Albanie pour un emploi.

Je suis français et vis ici depuis un peu plus de 2 ans ; je vais essayer de répondre à tes questions.
- Pour ta recherche d'emploi, tu peux attendre d'avoir ton visa à mon avis. C'est très compliqué d'obtenir un emploi depuis la France, alors si tu n'as même pas encore le visa...
Tu peux tout de même faire des recherches, mais sans être sur place ce sera difficile.
- Les petits boulots ne manquent pas, mais bon voilà... ce sont des boulots de m.... quoi. Tu n'auras aucun mal à en trouver mais je me doute que ce n'est pas ce que tu recherches. Cela dit, c'est un passage quasi obligatoire en arrivant, car sans expérience québécoise, quelle qu'elle soit, pas mal d'employeurs te fermeront leurs portes.
Après, tout dépend où tu veux t'installer : Montréal (comme tout le monde...), Québec, la capitale, ou en "régions", comme on dit. Au départ, mieux vaut un grand centre quand même.

Pour le PVT, ça doit être intéressant, sûrement... j'ai aussi longuement regardé les V.I.E... mais finalement, je veux pouvoir avoir le "choix" de rester... comme je l'ai dit, cela fait des années que je rêve de partir, et que je repousse à chaque fois... Je te conseille de prospecter - même à distance - avant d'arriver au pays, question de te préparer tranquillement. Essaie de te créer un réseau de contacts dès que possible - on trouve plus facilement un emploi comme ça -, contacte les employeurs potentiels (coup de fil), essaie de tâter le terrain comme on dit. Il est possible de trouver à distance mais c'est très difficile car les employeurs veulent te voir sur place. Mais dès que tu sauras ta date d'arrivée officielle, au Canada tu peux leur laisser savoir par la suite que tu seras disponible dès cette date pour des entrevues d'embauche.
Il faut trouver un emploi rapidement car les dépenses sont nombreuses quand on est un nouvel immigrant...
Un BAC+4 correspondrait (et non équivalerait) au baccalauréat québécois (bachelor degree) mais ça risque de ne pas convaincre les employeurs qui eux ne considèrent souvent que les diplômes locaux...donc ne t'attends pas à un salaire équivalent à celui d'une personne universitaire, on t'offrira probablement moins au départ.

Par rapport au Bac+4, je me doute qu'il ne sera sûrement pas reconnu au Québec, c'était surtout par rapport à la DSC, ils demandent le niveau de formation, et je cherchais à comprendre à quoi cela équivalait au Québec..
Je suis prête à commencer en bas, ça ne m'effraie pas et j'en suis bien consciente 😉

On peut faire dire ce qu'on veut au chiffres...Québec abrite les sièges sociaux des ministères de la fonction publique provinciale, donc taux de chômage moins élevé qu'ailleurs.
Mais à Montréal en effet, ça tourne autour du 8%.
