Je souhaite m'installer à Noumea environ vers Septembre et j'ai quelques questions qui me pose problème... Tout d'abord, j'ai un Americanstaff (le plus souvent assimilé a un
pitbull pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas...), et comme tout maitre qui se respect, j'aime enormement mon chien et n'envisage pas de pouvoir partir sans lui... Je ne sais pas si il est difficile ou non de l'emmener ni les demarches a suivres... Je me suis deja renseigner aupres des compagnies aeriennes et cela reste tres couteux, y a til un autre moyen de transport (cargo ou autre...)?
Le second souci est de se loger à l'arrivée ainsi que de trouver un emplois. Auriez-vous des conseils à me donner? Même si pour le logement c'est en camping car au début, cela ne me derange pas, ce sera le temps de trouver un emplois fixe... Au niveau de l'emploi, je travail depuis lontemps dans le monde de la nuit ainsi que dans la restauration et cherche donc dans ces domaines, avez-vous des conseils a me donner pour en trouver un?

Le premier hic, c'est que sur ce lien il est dit que l'importation des chiens de 1° et de 2° catégorie n'est pas autorisée, je crois que pour ton toutou çà ne va pas aller.
Le second hic, c'est que le site où se déroule la quarantaine doit fermer ses portes d'ici à la fin de l'année, quand exactement, c'est assez obscure, mais si tu appelles la quarantaine au 00.687.41.25.36, ils devraient t'en dire plus, le SIVAP lui fait la sourde oreille sur ce sujet.
Au cas où je me tromperais, voici + d'infos sur la démarche à suivre :
1- contacter le SIVAP : sivap.davar@gouv.nc en leur précisant ta demande, la race, et la date à laquelle tu voudrais que ton animal parte de France
Ce sont eux qui traitent ton dossier, autorisent ou non l'importation de ton chien sur le territoire, et te donnent le date du vol pour celui-ci.
2- une fois l'autorisation d'importation en ta possession, appeler air france cargo, qui te dira de contacter un transitaire. Appelle la société Kuehne et Nagel à Roissy, ils te feront un devis. Le transport ne se fait qu'en fret aérien, et uniquement avec Air France, pas d'autre alternative. Le prix dépend du volume de la cage dans laquelle ton chien voyagera... mais saches que c'est très cher!
3- le jour du vol, tu emmènes ton chien chez le transitaire, tu paies, ton chien prend l'avion et arrive sur le Caillou, où il restera en quarantaine 1 mois et non 5 jours comme certaines personnes peuvent le dire... car le France n'est pas un pays indemne de la rage.
Ton chien doit être vacciné contre la rage depuis + de 6 mois, et il y a d'autres vaccins à faire + titrage anti-rabique... Il faut vraiment s'y prendre à l'avance car les places sont limitées. Ce sont des vols spéciaux, et il n'y en a qu'un par mois.
En avril, j'ai reçu l'autorisation pour l'importation de mes 2 chats que le vol d'août. Mais j'ai cru comprendre que pour plus tard çà serait compliqué en raison de la fermeture de la quarantaine, quarantaine qui pourrait se faire à l'étranger en attendant que le nouveau site calédonien ouvre ses portes...
Sinon, es-tu déjà allé en Nouvelle-Calédonie? Si ce n'est pas le cas, je te conseilles de t'y rendre en repérage, et de partir avec pas mal d'argent, car la vie coûte cher, et trouver un emploi n'est pas forcément facile... Vas-y déjà en vacances, il ne faut pas partir comme çà sur un coup de tête! Tu pourrais être déçu. Et un tel voyage mérite d'être pensé bien à l'avance!
Voilà, j'espère t'avoir un peu éclairé... Renseignes-toi déjà pour savoir si ton chien est accepté sur le Caillou! Et après, repense bien à tout, pèse le pour et le contre... Et épluches les discussions de ce forum, elles te seront d'une grande aide...

il est impératif de bien réfléchir avant de faire le grand saut.
J'ai croisé quelques "touristes" égarés qui venait s'installer ici pensant trouver facilemement emploi et habitat.
Les quelques milliers d'euros qu'ils avaient ont vite fondu et le retour en métropole n'a pas été facile.
Toi tu auras en plus un compagnon (chien) qui aussi te coûter cher, ne serait ce que le prix du voyage.

Nan le boulot n est pas reservé au caledonien la loi est posé mais pas appliqué

Mon F2 a Nouméa centre ville 50m2 est a 115 000 cfp sans l eau et l electrecité qui sont les plus cher du monde comme le net idm 10 000cfp/moi pour 500ko

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
