Je suis étudiante à l'INSA en spécialité Environnement et on m'a proposé un stage en Nouvelle Calédonie! Je sais que j'ai de la chance et je suis mélangée entre l'excitation et la peur ^^. Je n'ai pas encore tous les détails du stage mais je voulais savoir comment ça se passe la vie là bas pour que je me fasse une idée. D'après ce que j'ai cru comprendre, la vie à l'air plus chère qu'en France mais les gens ont l'air plus détendus. Avez-vous d'autres infos??
C'est vrai que ma question est globale mais ce que je voulais savoir c'est:
- s'il est facile de rencontrer des gens (je partirai toute seule 😊)
- s'il est facile de trouver un logement et à quel prix (studio; coloc)
- quelles activités peut-on faire à Nouméa?
J'ai vraiment envie de découvrir cette ville et vivre une autre expérience!

J imagine qu on te propose un stage à l'IRD non ? Je pense que dans ce cadre c facile de rencontrer des gens mais je dirai malheureusement (car c aussi l interet du voyage) pas forcement beaucoup de locaux Pour le reste c vrai que les gens sont un peu réservé vis a vis des gens qui ne sont que de passage

Si tu as de l argent oui sinon pas forcement mais pour toi la vrai solution est sans doute une coloc ca te permet de pas payer trop cher mais aussi de rencontrer des gens qui te feront rencontrer des gens qui .............. Faut quand même prévoir un budget pour le logement et pour le reste aussi

Il y a sans doute plein de choses à faire à Nouméa Bon peut être pas autant qu au Québec mais bien de quoi s occuper Activité nautique, cinéma (1), bars restau, sorties sur les ilots, plongée
mais il faut aussi sortir de Nouméa voir le reste du pays sans oublier les iles Loyautés
J'ai eu mon entretien 🙂. En gros, c'est presque sûr sous réserve qu'il ait effectivement un sujet de stage mais bon, j'y crois fortement ^^.
Sinon, durant l'entretien, le recruteur m'a demandé combien je souhaitais en termes de rénumération... J'ai un peu séché mais ce qui m'intéresse c'est vraiment de couvrir mes dépenses et petits extras raisonnables 😇. A ton avis, combien je devrais demander? J'ai regardé le SMG qui est de l'ordre de 1 200 euros. Devrais-je demander un peu plus (genre 1 400) pour être confortable??

Il faut quand même savoir que la moindre chambre en colocation, ca va être dans les 50 000 à 60 000 F.CFP tout compris (je te parle même pas des loyers). Alors après il te faut quand même de quoi manger et profiter aussi un peu.
Mais je croyai que les stages c'étaient pas payé moi 😄
Oui, j'ai de la chance. C'est une entreprise française qui vient de s'implanter là bas 😉... Mais je vois ce que tu veux dire. J'en discuterai avec lui mais il était d'accord sur le fait de ne pas me faire venir si ça impliquait de me poser des soucis financiers! Donc, je vais y penser encore!
Sinon, pour les colocs, c'est simple à trouver? Je suppose que c'est mieux d'en trouver une sur place. C'est ce que j'ai fait en arrivant au Québec, ça a assez bien marché mais après ya un peu plus de stress en plus!

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
