L'année passée, je suis partie 3 semaines en Inde dans l'Etat du Maharastra à quelques 300 km de Chandrapur,
5 jours à Anandwan un village créer par le Dr Baba Amte, il n a des personnes qui ont la lèpre, des enfants et des ados
avec des problèmes physiques et une école pour les sourds-muets.
Ensuite, je suis partie 2, 5 semaines à Hemalkasa, un village au milieu de la jungle, retiré de plus de 150 Km. de toutes habitations. Ce village est aussi "géré" par le Dr Baba Amte qui s'investit beaucoup pour les personnes considérées en
marge de la société indienne.
A Hemalkasa, il y a un hôpital afin que toutes les personnes, vieillards, parents avec enfants et autres se rendent afin d'être soignés dans de bonnes conditions, tout en pensant qu'ils parcourent des Km à pied pour se rendre dans ce centre. D'une autre part, il y a aussi un centre scolaire et des ateliers de formation car il y a plus de 100 enfants et adolescents qui y vivent toute l'année afin d'être scolarisés, suivis et obtiennent une formation ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas des enfants des milieux urbains ...

J'ai exactement le même projet que toi! Je compte plutot partir vers novembre 2010 mais je voudrais comme toi faire de l'humanitaire dans un orphelinat et ensuite, je ne sais pas pour toi, j'aimerai aller au nord vers Dharamsala, ladakh (aux beaux jours).
Je compte partir plusieurs mois, et est-ce que tu sais si on peut prolonger de plusieurs mois le visa qui est au début de 6 mois?
J'ai déja quelques addresses. En fait c'est pas compliqué, tu va sur le site www.indianorphanages.com (je l'écris de tête, il y a peut être un ptite erreur) et là tu as 600 adresses d'orphelinats en Inde. Ce que j'ai fais c'est écrire un mail en anglais exposant ce que je voudrais faire et je l'ai envoyer à 20 adresses et j'ai eu 10 réponses le lendemain. Bon bien sur toutes n'étaient pas positives mais j'ai eu 3 réponses où il n'y a pas de problèmes, je viens quand je veux et même possibilité de loger sur place. Mais le truk c'est que c'est dans l'état de l'Assam et de l'Urananchal pradesh et pour ce dernier c'est compliqué au niveau du visa, frontière chine et tout ça... Et pour l'assam c'est pas exactement un orphelinat mais un foyer pour personnes handicapées mentales et SDF à ce que j'ai compris...mais ils travaillent aussi en partenariat avec 10 orphelinats.
Pour l'instant je part seule aussi, mais se serait avec joie de me joindre à toi si nos projet s'accordent!

je suis diplômée dans le social(assistante social) et cela fait un moment que je pense à partir. est-ce que tu serais tentée? Dans ce cas, un départ plus proche tu pourrais l'envisager? par exemple avril? car moi je suis vraiment pressée de tenter l'expérience.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
