Je suis actuellement en France et je touche le RSA (car j'ai trop vécu a l'étranger pour toucher le chômage et que je n'ai pas retrouvé de travail depuis le mois dernier).
Je viens de me rendre compte que je suis enceinte, de mon compagnon américain, qui vit aux USA.
Je pense donc le rejoindre lors du 7eme mois de grossesse, me marier et accoucher aux USA.
La situation de mon compagnon est très précaire: il est en "probation". Donc très, très, très difficile de trouver du travail. Cependant, il a un travail, paye $7.50 de l'heure.
Je voudrais savoir s'il y avait un quelconque moyen pour moi de toucher des aides sociales, une fois aux USA, par rapport a notre situation...
Sans pouvoir travailler a cause d'une grossesse avancée, puis d'un bébé, et étant donne la situation de mon futur époux, j'ai peur que nous connaissions beaucoup de difficultés et de souffrance...
Malheureusement pour vous, je vois déjà quatre problèmes dans votre plan.
1. Voyager à 7 mois de grossesse, la plupart des compagnies aérienne refuseront.
2. Vous marier aux Etats Unis: vous marier au Etats Unis à un citoyen américain ne vous donne aucun droit de rester sur le sol américain. Si vous vous mariez là bas, vous devrez revenir en France le temps que votre compagnon vous sponsorise pour une Green Card. La meilleure chose à faire est de demander à votre compagnon de vous faire les papier pour le visa Fiancée (visa K1). Avec ce visa vous devrez vous marier dans les 3 mois suivant votre arrivée ou quitter le sol américain.
3. Accoucher aux États Unis: je ne sais pas si vous êtes au courant mais les frais de santé aux USA ne sont pas les mêmes que en France. Vous dîtes que votre situation financière est difficile mais vous vous dirigez vers un accouchement a 4 ou 5 chiffres à sortir de votre propre poche.
4. Comme dit précédemment, pour que votre compagnon puisse se marier avec vous et vous sponsoriser pour un green Card, les lois fédérales obligent le citoyen américain de gagner un salaire qui est 125% au dessus du seuil de pauvreté si je ne me trompe pas. Vu ce que vous venez d'écrire je n'ai pas l'impression que c'est le cas.

Je ne pensais pas que les compagnies aériennes s'opposerait a un voyage a 7 mois de grossesse, puisqu'il est prouve qu'une femme peut voyager jusqu'à son 9eme mois sans aucun problème. Je note cependant votre remarque: je vais contacter les différentes compagnies aériennes et leur demander jusqu'à quel mois elles me permettraient de voyager. Cela ne me dérange pas de voyager plus tôt...
Nous n'avons aucun problème de visa, et c'est pour cela que ma question ne mentionne pas ce sujet.
Quand aux frais médicaux, je souhaite accoucher a la maison et nous avons déjà trouve une amie sage-femme qui s'occupera de notre accouchement. La encore, nous ne rencontrons aucune difficultés.
Ma question portait très précisément sur les aides sociales possibles, en tant que française vivant a l'étranger, avec un enfant, et ayant très peu de ressources.

Il serait effectivement idéal de faire l'inverse. Malheureusement, mon compagnon étant en liberté conditionnelle pour 5 ans, il n'a pas le droit de sortir du pays. C'est pour cela que notre situation est vraiment dure....

Voici ce que j'avais trouve sur un forum des français en Chine:
L’aide sociale pour les Français résidant à l’étranger est dispensée par les comités consulaires pour la protection et l’action sociale (C.C.P.A.S.) créés dès 1984 auprès de chaque poste consulaire et dont la présidence est assurée par le chef de poste.
Ces comités proposent l’attribution de secours à nos compatriotes démunis résidant à l’étranger.
Ils transmettent ces demandes à la direction des Français à l’étranger et des étrangers en France (service des Français à l’étranger) en fin d’année, pour décision, avec leurs propositions budgétaires.
Ils peuvent, en outre, saisir le Département à tout moment, en cours d’année, au sujet de dossiers présentant un caractère d’urgence.
2. L’allocation à durée déterminée (ADD)
L’allocation à durée déterminée (ADD) vise à porter secours à nos ressortissants temporairement dans le besoin à la suite d’événements personnels ou familiaux difficiles ou en cas de graves difficultés financières temporaires.
Par essence ponctuelle, l’allocation à durée déterminée ne saurait en particulier être assimilée à une allocation familiale. Chaque situation fait l’objet d’un examen attentif sachant que ce type d’aide ne peut désormais être accordé qu’à titre exceptionnel, et dans la mesure où elle est destinée à favoriser l’insertion sociale et professionnelle du demandeur.
a) Conditions d’attribution
Une allocation à durée déterminée peut être accordée, sans condition d’âge, à nos ressortissants:
- ne bénéficiant d’aucune autre allocation mensuelle versée sur les crédits d’assistance du Ministère des Affaires étrangères (allocation de solidarité ou allocation handicapé) ;
- régulièrement inscrits au registre des Français établis hors de France, auprès du poste consulaire territorialement compétent ;
- ne disposant que de moyens d’existence précaires d’un montant inférieur au « taux de base » des allocations.
Une aide complémentaire continue peut être accordée, en complément de l’allocation enfant handicapé, au parent d’un enfant lourdement handicapé, qui a dû cesser son activité professionnelle ou qui rémunère une tierce personne dans le but d’assister cet enfant au quotidien.
C'est faux de dire que la plupart des compagnies aériennes refusent les femmes enceintes à 7 mois de grossesse 😕
La très grande majorité, sinon toutes les compagnies acceptent sans problème les femmes enceintes jusqu'à 36 semaines. Et même au-delà de 36 semaines avec l'autorisation du médecin.
J'ai moi-même déjà voyagé à 7 mois de grossesse sur 3 différentes compagnies...

Les instances officielles connaitront ton parcours (arrivée aux USA, enceinte, l'existence de ton compagnon ayant des soucis de justice, etc) donc ces aides ne te seront pas versées, parce que tu es arrivée auxUSA en connaissance de cause !
L'accouchement à domicile c'est bien si tout se déroule bien mais en cas de problème nécessitant une prise en charge hospitalière, qui va payer la note très salée ??????
Vivre dans les States en famille à 3 avec 7,5 $ .... ça me laisse très pessimiste !

Cela voudrait dire qu'il a le droit de vivre dans un environnement le plus "sain" possible sans problèmes majeurs et surtout sans précarité grave ! En France, tu auras des aides comme maman isolée etc etc mais une fois à l'étranger, tant pis !

Je pense justement a mon enfant, en me disant qu'il a besoin d'un père. Élever un enfant sans qu'il puisse rencontrer son père pendant les 5 premières années de sa vie me parait cruel.

Pour un enfant, vivre sans un père pendant 5 ans, ce n'est pas si cruel que cela, mais le faire vivre dans des conditions très précaires et incertaines aux USA, est là pour le coup, très cruel !
Le temps de faire ta grossesse, qu'il est en âge de "ressentir" le besoin réel et physique d'un père près de lui physiquement, une grosse partie des 5 ans sera déjà passée !
N'oublie pas qu'il y a des moyens de communication nombreux (internet, etc) pour garder le contact avec l'enfant, et puisque tu as un visa sans problème, rien ne t'empêche de te rendre de temps en temps aux US pour garder le contact physique avec le père !
Te marier avec le père de ton enfant aux USA ne te garantie pas du tout une résidence, donc tu seras bien obligée de quitter le territoire en attendant la carte que tu n'obtiendrais probablement pas vu la situation précaire de ton ami !
Donc encore une fois, réfléchis 1000 x avant de prendre une décision désastreuse !

En fait, j'ai deja le droit de residence pour les US, car j'y ai deja vecu. Donc, comme je le disais, je n'ai pas de problemes de ce cote-la.
Mon compagnon, n'a pas le droit d'avoir acces a Internet, car cela fait parti de ses restrictions legales. Il ne nous reste donc que le telephone, de temps en temps.
Donc un bon conseil +++ passe quelques semaines aux USA maintenant (tu toucheras ton RSA normal du moment que tu ne dépasses pas un certain temps raisonnable), fais tes déclarations dans les temps pour RSA, déclaration de grossesse, etc et après l'accouchement, quand le bébé pourra voyager et qu'il aura son passeport, tu pourras y retourner quelques semaines... tu garderas ainsi le contact avec le père de ton bébé, et l'avenir dira la suite...
Mais pense avant tout à ton futur enfant !!!
