Hello, mon étudiant de frere compte partir aux Etats-Unis en été 2009 (du 1er juillet au 15 aout 2009) pour y travailler un mois puis vacances 15 jours (grâce a ce qu'il aura gagner).
Ayant déjà fait un échange de correspondant du côté de Indiannapolis par le BTS, il a des contacts et il y a une entreprise qui s'engage a le prendre pour 1 mois. Hebergement chez son correspondant.
Jusque là tout va bien, sauf que pour prendre le vol, il doit être sur d'avoir son visa. D'ou les questions: Est ce mon frere ou l'entreprise qui doit entammer les démarches? Est-il vrai qu'il faut aller sur Paris obligatoirement pour récupérer le visa?A combien vont revenir toutes ces démarches niveau visa?A quel salaire peut-il s'attendre à avoir pour un job genre ranger des cartons toute la journée?

Pour un travail d'été, il faut un visa J1 que tu ne peux avoir que si quelqu'un te sponsorise. On peut passer par des organismes qui peuvent fournir le DS2019, document nécessaire au visa mais tout en échange d'une rémunération. Le moins que j'ai vu c'est environ 600€ pour le bout de papier. Après, il est peut être possible de se faire sponsoriser par la boite mais je ne sais pas.
Oui, il faut obligatoirement aller à Paris pour faire son visa.
Il faut compter dans les 100€ pour le visa(à payer en avance par mandat compte) + 15€ pour contacter l'ambassade par téléphone ou 14, 50$ par internet, + 20€ pour le chronopost pour renvoyer ton passeport et le visa (tu ne repars pas avec), + entre 5 et 15€ pour les photos au format spécial 5x5 (ca dépend du photographe), pour un J1 d'été je ne sais pas s'il faut s'enregistrer au SEVIS ou pas, si oui il faudra ajouter 100$ de plus.
S'il range des cartons tout l'été, il ne faut pas s'attendre à une paye mirobolante...
Mais alors il faut le DS2019 pour acquerir le visa ou bien c'est l'équivalent du visa J1?
600 euros a payé plus le prix du visa c'est pas croyable c'est pas fait pour des étudiants alors!

Franchement a mon avis c'est pas vrai. Il y a des documents a télécharger sur le site du gouvernement et il faut prendre un rendez vous a paris à l'ambassade usa. 14euros le rendez vous mais ce formuaire est inutile. Si on réflechis bien, c'est débil de faire payé a un etudient 600 euros un formulaire pour allé travailler, ca ferai une perte d'argent.
Pas besoind e formulaire donc, y'a des doc en ligne
Ton frère n'y va pas pour ETUDIER mais pour y TRAVAILLER et encore juste un mois .
Ce qui est débile, c'est de travailler uniquement un mois !!!!
Serieux, encore il partirai pour une session d'été pour 3 mois, encore, quoi que c'est beaucoup de frais pour pas grand chose ...

Il a d'autant plus interêt à bosser un mois en France et partir 15 jours en vacances aux USA, il sera bien plus gagnant .
C'est simple à partir du moment où tu gagnes un salaire aux usa, il faut un visa, c'est tout c'est simple, même si tu bosses une semaine.
Hier je suis aller faire mon visa Q1, j'ai parlé avec un mec qui devait faire 2 conférences à New York pour 4 jours, payé, il a été obligé de faire un visa !!!!!

tu sais tes envies/désires et tes contraintes sont à l'opposé des etats-unis! 😏 si on appliquait ton raisonnement, alors tu pourrais nous dire aussi que les etudiants qui veulent visiter et travailler en meme temps en france pourrait le faire qques soient sa nationalité 😎

Je voulais faire comme ton frère et aller bosser aux Etats-Unis pendant l'été. C'était il y a 3 ans et déjà, les frais m'avaient découragé.
Les prix que je te donne plus haut, mis à part le prix de l'organisme, sont les prix que j'ai payé pour un J1 de 8 mois en octobre 07. Bien sûr, cela ne fait aucune différence que ce soit pour un mois ou pour 12. Le J1 d'été est valable jusqu'à 4 mois, donc ça permet de rentabiliser un peu si on peut évidemment se permettre 4 mois de vacances.
Après, oui c'est très cher et seuls les organismes accrédités par le gouvernement peuvent fournir le DS2019. Nous n'avons pas fait le système!

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
