Vol pour Anchorage: meilleur tarif combien de temps à l'avance?

Bonjour ,
Nous sommes sur le point de réserver une croisière Hurtigruten qui part d'Anchorage en juin 2020 . Il nous faudra donc réserver un vol pour cette destination , non inclus dans le forfait .
Si je consulte actuellement les tarifs pour juin 2019 à quelques semaines de la date équivalente , ceux pour juin 2020 n'étant pas encore disponibles , ils sont évidemment au plus haut . Beaucoup + élevés par exemple que ceux relevés début avril dernier .
À quelle période de l'année , ceux d'entre vous qui fréquentent cette destination à cette saison , trouvent-ils les meilleurs tarifs aériens ?
Quelle(s) compagnie(s) me recommanderiez-vous en terme de rapport qualité /prix ?

je pense que tout dépend d'où vous voulez partir. Il n'y a bien sur pas de vol direct il faut une escale us ou canadienne. Il me semble aussi que condor (low cost) à un vol de Francfort.
Pour ma part , j'ai pris un vol seattle anchorage pour 90 euros (il faudra rajouter les bagages) réservé en janvier
donc ensuite il vous faut un vol pour seattle ou vancouver.
et ensuite je suppose que vous aller embarquer à seward?

Vu qu'elle ''descend'' et se termine à Vancouver, à mon humble avis tu as tout intérêt à prendre un billet France-Vancouver A/R et un Vancouver Anchorage

Comme entre Vancouver et Anchorage il n'y a que Air Canada, qui n'est pas dans la même alliance qu'Air France (Air France est membre de Skyteam, Air Canada de Star Alliance) donc tu ne pourras pas avoir un vol Air France puis un vol Air Canada ''en prolongement''. Mais Air Canada fait aussi un direct Paris VAncouver donc tu dois pouvoir avoir une vraie correspondance pour faire un PAris Anchorage par Air CAnada!!

À condition d'y revenir en vol retour si nous y laissons notre voiture . * nous embarquerons effectivement à Seward , le transfert étant prévu depuis Anchorage où débutera officiellement notre croisière (nuit hôtel Hilton) .

Sur la période pour trouver les tarifs a priori les + favorables , avez-vous des idées ?
PS : Je suis encore assez hésitant pour le vol retour . Comme cette croisière ne devrait pas être physiquement épuisante , même pour des septuagénaires , je suis un peu tenté (sous réserve du coût supplémentaire restant à évaluer) , de prévoir au débarquement à Vancouver de louer une voiture à restituer à Calgary , pour découvrir les Rocheuses canadiennes en 8 à 10 jours de parcours , avec des nuits en motels . Je me disais qu'éventuellement nous pourrions terminer ce parcours en assistant la veille du vol retour à l' "Opening day" du Stampede de Calgary (c'est le 3 juillet en 2020) . Mais est-ce que ce spectacle festif typiquement nord-américain en vaut vraiment la peine ? ...À voir ...

On a assisté au Stampede de Calgary en 2016; ça nous a plu, mais on avait déjà vu un rodéo à Cheyenne et on a retrouvé la même chose
Donc ça dépend si vous avez vu un rodéo
Quant à découvrir les parcs de Banff et Jasper, c'est possible; mais en été il y a bcp de monde; et on a fait la route 93 par un temps gris; ça ne m'a pas laissé un souvenir époustouflant

Lorsque nous sommes passés à Cody (Wyoming) , en septembre 2008 il me semble , il n' y en avait pas à ce moment là (en revanche nous avions beaucoup apprécié le Musée , au point que nous y étions retournés le lendemain matin avec nos billets d'entrée encore valides , avant de quitter les lieux et retourner vers Yellowstone NP) . Sur Trip Advisor j'ai lu des avis variés , avec un peu de mal pour saisir de quoi pouvait se composer une journée passée sur place , les différents spectacles (défilés , rodéos , voire concerts , ...) , et le côté grand public bon enfant qui déambule et "fast-food" géant proposé apparemment au prix fort . Mais ça doit être très typique . 😉
Quant à la traversée des Rocheuses et la route Jasper-Banff , la foule est-elle déjà très dense la dernière semaine de juin ? Et pour la météo , il y a sans doute toujours un risque sous ces latitudes 🤪...

On est arrivé le matin et on avait réservé sur internet ( https://www.calgarystampede.com/stampede/admission-and-tickets); on a assisté au rodéo avec le clown, et des prix pour les meilleurs; je crois que c'était l'après-midi
On a déambulé dans le site
Le concert avait lieu le soir, on n'y est pas restés (des chanteurs inconnus en France)
On avait emporté de quoi se nourrir
Il y avait aussi des tentes indiennes.
Je pense que c'est typique
On était sur la route 93 en juillet de mémoire; fin juin, je ne sais pas.

Nous aussi habitons Nancy, lorsque nous allons au Canada que ce soit Montréal ou Vancouver
nous partons toujours de Luxembourg, Vol Luxair : Luxembourg-Amsterdam puis Amsterdam-
Montréal ou Vancouver sur KLM, nous trouvons que c'est plus pratique que d'aller à Paris CDG
mais c'est un avis tout à fait personnel !!!

Il est peut être possible de revenir de Calgary via Air France (En partage de code avec Westjet). Il y a une liaison directe WEstjet entre Calgary et CDG, maintenant est elle en partage de code avec Air France, à vérifier!! L'option proposée par Anjuvani de passer par le Luxembourg est éventuellement à étudier, reste à voir si Luxair est membre de Skyteam, ce qui faciliterait le transfert 😉
Pour Juin, me semble qu'attendre fin Décembre-début Janvier pour l'achat!! Possible qu'il y ait des offres promotionnelles début Février (comme c'est le cas sur CDG-YUL)

Air Canada pour moi "tient la corde" pour l'instant . Si on part de CDG , pas de souci pour la correspondance par Vancouver à l'aller . Et l'aller est le + important , car si on rate notre croisière de 2 semaines , tout tombe à l'eau ... 🤪 C'est aussi ce qui me fait craindre Air France dans ce contexte , car qui peut dire qu'ils ne seront pas encore engagés dans des grèves dans un an ... 😕 Au retour , si on repart directement de Vancouver terminus de la croisière , on a droit à un vol direct pour Paris CDG . 🙂 Dans l'éventualité d'un retour depuis Calgary , 2 vols successifs Air Canada par Montréal .

Air Canada me semble effectivement la solution la plus ''confortable'' surtout pour l'aller avec une VRAIE correspondance pour Anchorage! Après pour le retour que tu partes de Vancouver ou Calgary tu auras des facilités avec Air Canada!
Maintenant reste à comparer les prix (quand tu prendras ton billet) avec Air France KLM. Si Air France est vraiment moins chère ça pourrait ''influencer'' le choix!!

Pour l'aller je vais privilégier Air Canada . Pour le retour je comparerai aussi avec Air France si on se dirige vers un vol direct Vancouver-Paris. En ayant rapidement prospecté , je trouve que les hébergements dans le Parc des Montagnes Rocheuses entre Jasper et Banff (le cœur des beautés de l'Ouest canadien ?) , sont très chers (min. entre 200 et 300 € /nuit sans repas !) , et que ces grands paysages de montagne , ne sont peut-être guère différents de ceux de nos grandes Alpes . J'avais eu cette impression il y a 10 ans en franchissant le Tioga Pass (CA) . (En juillet prochain on va séjourner par exemple 1 semaine à côté de St Moritz dans la Haute-Engadine en Suisse , et passer ensuite dans l'Oberland bernois ; on sera alors déjà pas mal gâtés en paysages de haute montagne ... 🙂) Je penche donc plutôt à cette heure par terminer par quelques jours à Vancouver et ses environs avant le vol du retour . Avec en particulier une journée complète consacrée aux jardins Butchart et un peu aussi à la ville de Victoria dans l'île du même nom (j'ai repéré un pied à terre sympa à 500 m de la frontière US , tout à côté de l'embarquement de Tsawwassen vers Swartz Bay) . Mais là je sors de mon sujet initial , et vais donc en poster un nouveau à la rubrique Canada pour bien organiser ces journées autour de Vancouver . 😉

alors .. je pars dans 1 mois et trois semaines et je serai plus à même de te donner des informations..puisque en plus de notre croisière en alaska , nous allons faire vancouver 2j îles de vancouver ( ferry/nanaimo/ tofino/victoria/seattle) puis 6 jours en alaska puis la croisière.

depuis Nancy, je privilégierais TGV depuis lorraine TGV jusque Roissy pour un vol AR pour Vancouver. c'est le plus pratique.
Depuis Luxembourg on ajoute une escale, un parking plus cher, et surtout un risque d'etre fortement retardé sur la route en cas de depart en matinée si c'est en semaine.
Pour les qq jours dispo sur place, je louerais une voiture pour les passer sur l'ile, c'est tres depaysant.

Etant dans l'est regarde avec Lufthansa c'est la seule Cie qui pourra te proposer des vols directs non stop FRA/ANC et retour YVR/FRA ( pour l'aller avec leur filiale Condor) après a voir selon les jours
De toute façon il est plus sage d'arriver au moins 1 jour avant le départ de la croisière quelque soit la Cie

C'est vrai que la route depuis la Lorraine pour rejoindre l'aéroport de Luxembourg peut être très difficile à certaines heures (très gros trafic de frontaliers) .
Je me souviens en 2017 d'un petit voyage à Prague par Luxair . À l'aller pas trop de problèmes pour être à l'heure pour l'avion , mais au retour 😛 ! J'avais eu le tort de programmer notre retour un vendredi après-midi , et toutes les autoroutes et bretelles d'accès étaient saturées . Je crois qu'on a mis plus de 2 heures (une soixantaine de km ...) depuis Findel pour rejoindre Metz ; après ça allait mieux heureusement jusqu'à Nancy .
En général , si notre avion part tôt le matin de CDG et qu'on prend un hôtel avec navettes gratuites et parking (10€/jour) , le trajet en voiture depuis Nancy est beaucoup moins problématique . Et quand on arrive la veille , on ne risque pas de rater son vol .
Sinon , en effet le TGV Gare Lorraine est une autre solution qu'on a parfois utilisée (stationnement moins cher) .

J'ai opté pour 2 vols directs : aller vers Anchorage avec Sun Express Germany for Eurowings mais opéré par Lufthansa , et retour par Lufthansa depuis Vancouver . 1540 € pour 2 . Par prudence nous arriverons à Anchorage le 8 juin , 3 jours avant la date requise pour la croisière . Nous avons donc changé notre fusil d'épaule : on laisse tomber la région de Vancouver envisagée après la croisière (nous nous envolerons directement le 24 juin pour le retour , jour du débarquement) mais on va plutôt privilégier l'Alaska en consacrant 3 jours aux environs d' Anchorage avant de prendre la mer à Seward . Finalement j'étais plus attiré par la grande nature sauvage et glacée de l'Alaska que par le coté policé et propret , plus proche de l'Europe , que j' imagine pour Vancouver et Victoria ... 🤪

Pour le moment j'ai un peu de mal à savoir si on peut accéder au plan de cabine et réserver éventuellement 2 sièges pour le vol aller direct , a priori sur Airbus 330-200 (ou seulement une catégorie de places comme pour le vol retour Lufthansa semble-t-il ? ...) . En tous les cas , pas disponible avec mon code de réservation Lufthansa ...
J'attends une réponse de Eurowings que j'ai interrogé par à ce sujet .
Pour clore finalement ce chapitre :
- pour le vol aller Francfort-Anchorage d' Eurowings c'est le service téléphonique de "Lufthansa Service" qui a efficacement réglé mon problème : 2 places vers l'avant de l'appareil (rang 14) près d'un hublot (l'Airbus 330-200 est dans la disposition 2/4/2) , sans frais !
- pour le retour Vancouver-Francfort par Lufthansa sur B 747-400 (qui est plutôt en 3/4/3) j'ai opté pour une rangée latérale située un peu avant le fond limitée à 2 places , en payant 2x35€ .
Je pense que je m'en tire pas trop mal ; on verra ça dans 9 mois 😉 ...

Since it came into force, Regulation 261/2004 of the European Parliament and Council, which defines air passenger rights, has faced fierce resistance from airlines, backed by IATA (the association representing almost all passenger airlines).
Beyond the airlines' often abusive—and even frequently bad-faith—resistance to passenger rights, IATA has been lobbying EU institutions for years, with the Council paying close attention for a long time.
As a result, the Council and the Commission have been proposing revisions to Regulation 261/2004 for years that are particularly unfavorable to passengers. The latest attempt nearly eliminated the right to compensation for delays of 3 hours or more upon arrival at the final destination.
However, since this is a regulation of both the European Parliament AND the Council, the two bodies had to agree.
But the European Parliament has always stood firm, consistently responding that passenger rights must be preserved.
After 11 years of struggle, it seems likely that we’re finally nearing the end of the match between the European Commission, the Council (the 27 heads of state or government), and the European Parliament.
Indeed, the Commission and the European Parliament have agreed on a text that will be debated again on Monday, July 6, 2026, with a vote scheduled for July 7, 2026. It’s very likely that this text, which would come into force in a year, will be adopted.
The main changes would be as follows: - Families with children will no longer be forced to pay to sit together on planes; - A flight will be considered canceled (not just delayed) if it departs more than one hour late; - Right to compensation for arrival at the final destination if the delay exceeds 3 hours (no longer "3 hours OR more"). The arrival time will be when the plane, having reached its parking spot, engages its parking brakes (no longer when the aircraft door opens); - Airlines can no longer refuse boarding or charge extra on the return flight for a passenger who didn’t take the outbound flight; - If a flight is canceled, the airline must, at the same time as informing passengers of the event, offer the choice between a refund and re-routing, and inform them of their rights to assistance and, if applicable, compensation; - The airline must, without undue delay, inform passengers of the reason; - In the case of a connecting flight, if the connection is missed and the delay at the final destination entitles the passenger to compensation, the responsible airline will be liable. This is very different from the current situation, where, under the KLM ruling, any airline operating a segment of the flight is liable for compensation. This promises more disputes that the Court of Justice of the European Union will have to resolve if two separate airlines operating segments of a connecting flight are both responsible for the delay. If the airline refuses compensation on the grounds of "extraordinary circumstances," it must specify which type of case it refers to from the list in the annex of the new regulation. If the case isn’t on the list, the airline must explain what the event was, why it qualifies as extraordinary circumstances with "clear, substantial, and concise" explanations, and why it’s directly linked to the reason given. It must also declare what "reasonable measures" were taken to mitigate the issue. This is, of course, a huge change in the regulation, with the clear goal of preventing airlines from declaring just anything as "extraordinary circumstances" to avoid compensation. - If, within 3 hours of a last-minute canceled or delayed flight, the airline hasn’t offered re-routing under comparable transport conditions and as soon as possible—whether on one of its own flights or another airline’s—the passenger will have the right to arrange their own re-routing and demand a refund for the new ticket, up to 400% of the original ticket price. Note: This can’t be used to replace one passenger with another—just to correct a typo, e.g., Dupont instead of Dpont. - Airlines’ websites and apps must include information on how to file a claim.
It’s clear that, despite a few details, these changes are very positive for upholding passenger rights. It remains to be seen whether this text will be definitively adopted on July 7, 2026, as is very likely, and, more importantly, whether IATA will encourage airlines to loyally respect these new rules or persist in their old habits.

As of January 1, 2026, all foreign nationals traveling to Georgia for tourism purposes will be required to present valid travel health insurance. Guests who fail to provide the relevant health insurance will not be accepted on our flights to Georgia. Sincerely, Pegasus Airlines
In other words, if you don’t show proof of travel health insurance, you’ll be denied boarding. Personally, my credit card insurance has always been enough for me, and I’d rather not take out extra coverage... Have any of you run into this issue before? If not, what do you think? Of course, there’s huge pressure from European agencies, which are forced to disrupt their plans or even cancel trips because of this. Personally, I’ve got a trip planned for February 2026 to the southern parks in Tanzania, so I’ll be keeping an eye on how this develops. Do any of you have updates? Thanks!

Before, they used to prioritize major airlines, but now it’s small airlines from small countries—companies with terrible ratings and borderline safety concerns. I even just noticed this note for a Tanzania trip: "We inform you that the domestic flight segment in Tanzania included in your trip is operated by an airline listed on the European Union’s list of air carriers subject to an operating ban within the European Union. This ban only applies to European Union airspace, meaning this airline is not permitted to take off, land, or fly over European airspace. However, this airline is authorized to operate in Tanzania."

We need assistance for check-in and boarding/disembarking (my husband is a mobility-impaired traveler who uses a cane and/or a walker). We’ve done a cruise return from Dubai to Paris CDG before in 2016, with a layover in Istanbul, but we booked the transfer and return flight with COSTA. For our current plan, it would be with Celestyal, which doesn’t offer round-trip flights from Paris to Dubai. Should we book very far in advance, or is a few months before departure enough (4/6 months)? We’re thinking of arriving the day before the ship departs, so we’d need to stay overnight in Dubai—either on the way there or for the return flight, depending on the flight schedules. Could you recommend a hotel not too far from the airport, and how to get to the port from the airport?

I booked a flight with RyanAir for next month, with the priority+ option and two cabin bags. So I can take a 10 kg bag with dimensions 55x40x20 in the cabin (plus another smaller one). The problem is that the smallest suitcase I have (which is supposed to be designed specifically for cabin size standards, according to the manual) has the following dimensions: 55x37x21, so it's just 1 cm over (wheels included) on one of the measurements.
I wasn’t too worried at first, but I’ve read dozens of stories about people’s misadventures and the hassles they’ve had with RyanAir.
Since I don’t want my suitcase to end up in the hold (that would waste time picking it up when I’m already arriving late and need to get to the city center), nor do I want to pay an extra fee (apparently 50 €) for the outbound and return flights for just 1 centimeter—especially since I paid for the "priority+" option and I’m not exactly rolling in money—I’d love some advice.
Have any of you been in the same situation? I’ve read that with this airline, they check bags in templates (testing them in different positions) and are completely uncompromising. I tried contacting customer service, who, as luck would have it, "don’t handle this kind of request," and a rep I spoke to wasn’t much help.
I know it’s a low-cost airline, and I don’t expect luxury or even kindness, but come on—just 1 cm on a short flight with the + option... I’m a bit overwhelmed by everything I’ve read...

I wasn’t too worried at first, but I’ve read dozens of stories about people’s misadventures and the hassles they’ve had with RyanAir.
Since I don’t want my suitcase to end up in the hold (that would waste time picking it up when I’m already arriving late and need to get to the city center), nor do I want to pay an extra fee (apparently 50 €) for the outbound and return flights for just 1 centimeter—especially since I paid for the "priority+" option and I’m not exactly rolling in money—I’d love some advice.
Have any of you been in the same situation? I’ve read that with this airline, they check bags in templates (testing them in different positions) and are completely uncompromising. I tried contacting customer service, who, as luck would have it, "don’t handle this kind of request," and a rep I spoke to wasn’t much help.
I know it’s a low-cost airline, and I don’t expect luxury or even kindness, but come on—just 1 cm on a short flight with the + option... I’m a bit overwhelmed by everything I’ve read...
Just to clarify, since I’m going for 8 days, I can’t just take one bag for my stuff. I’ve done that for shorter trips before, and it was a hassle—I even had to buy an extra bag for the return trip... Luckily, the inspector was nice about it!

I’d like to return to Uzbekistan next April for 10 days with my husband to visit our son who lives there. We went last July and I bought the flight tickets (direct flight from Paris on Uzbekistan Airways) about 2 months in advance at very reasonable prices. I’ve been checking for late April for a few weeks now, and the tickets are much more expensive and keep rising. I can’t figure out if the prices are going up because it’s still a bit too early to buy and they’ll likely drop if the planes aren’t full, or if it’s because the period is actually in high demand. For reference, last year I bought my son’s ticket on May 30th for a departure on June 3rd—just 3 days later—at a very low price that didn’t budge at all.
Just in case, does anyone know the pricing trends for this airline and can advise me? Should I wait or not?

My wife bought a flight ticket (Lucky Air) under her Thai maiden name and was issued a Chinese visa on her new Thai passport but with her French married name (due to administrative requirements). She was denied boarding by the airline in Bangkok for the flight to Kunming—resulting in the loss of our round-trip flight tickets, including mine since we were traveling together—despite presenting both passports at the airline counter at the same time.

Way cheaper than Air France, for example.
That said, the reviews I’ve seen online aren’t great.

I can't seem to find flights between the Cape Verde islands on the airline's website. No matter the date or route, I always get the same response: "no flights on this date." See the photo. Would anyone have an explanation? Surely not all flights are fully booked in July?

Has anyone managed to get a refund from Oman Air?
After a delayed flight, we missed our connecting flight to get home!! At midnight, the flight attendant booked us on a flight to Nice via Munich, even though we were in Munich and wanted to get back to Nice... Too tired from the trip, we didn’t notice the mistake!! The next day, of course, the booking wasn’t valid!! We had to pay again for the flight back to Nice... I’m really struggling!! I think they’re giving me the runaround!! I’ve sent several emails, tried Messenger and WhatsApp, but the only responses I get are: "We need to investigate!! We’ll get back to you in 15 days!!" It’s been over a month!!
I just sent a registered letter (LRAR) to their office at Paris Charles de Gaulle, which is still open!!
Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Sri Lanka has announced it could run out of fuel in the coming weeks if the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked. The government has implemented a mandatory four-day workweek to save oil, and there are long lines at gas stations due to fears of an early shortage.
In Vietnam, the government has warned all airlines that flights will need to be reduced due to a lack of kerosene. The country imports two-thirds of its jet fuel from China and Thailand, but both countries have now banned exports out of fear of domestic shortages.
The state is asking airlines to plan ahead and park aircraft to drastically reduce operations, starting with domestic flights and then international ones. International carriers will also need to cut back on their rotations.
This will begin in the coming days. 🙁

First question: Will my checked baggage be transferred automatically? I have a single ticket from KTI to YUL (Air Canada ticket—KTI-ICN operated by Asiana (codeshare) and ICN-YUL by Air Canada).
Second question: I saw it’s possible to join free guided tours (Airport Transit Tour). What do you think of this kind of service? And is my "actual" layover time (accounting for security checks, check-in, etc.) enough to do one of these tours?

I'm heading to Namibia next May. I'm planning to take a first flight from Paris to Johannesburg with Air France, departing at 11:20 PM and arriving at 11:05 AM in Johannesburg. Then a second flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek at 3:25 PM with South African Airways.
Four hours between the two flights seems enough to catch my connection, but a friend told me I should maybe take the 5:30 PM flight instead because I need to go through immigration, collect my luggage, and check in again. Apparently, I have to do this because I bought the two tickets separately (it's actually much cheaper).
What do you think?
Also, in terms of South African airlines, which one do you think is the most reliable between South African Airways and Airlink?

Now, onto the topic :)
We’re a family of four traveling together to Seoul, with two separate bookings.
Our original itinerary was: Madrid → Doha → Seoul (March 23–24)
The issue is that our entire outbound flight was canceled, and the airline simply rescheduled the Madrid → Doha leg. Now we’re left with an incomplete journey, with no solution to reach our final destination (Seoul).
Since then:
- Can’t modify flights online (technical error every time) - Can’t get help via chat or WhatsApp - Phone support is unreachable, and the usual French number isn’t working right now
We don’t want a refund. We just want to be rerouted to Seoul, as our original ticket promised.
We’re flexible:
- On dates (we can leave on March 21 or 22 instead of the 23rd) - On the itinerary (different layovers if needed)
Have any of you dealt with this before? Do you know how to unlock a booking in this case or get a rerouting? We’re considering going straight to the airport to resolve it at the Qatar Airways counter....

We just received an email from Volotea saying our flight time has changed (by more than 2 hours).
The email states "you can request a free date change."
If I change the date, will the flight price stay the same as the original price, or will I have to pay the difference?
Specifically: Our flight on the 7th is 46.25 €, and the one on the 8th is 92.51 €. If we switch to the 8th, how much will we pay?
When I request the date change to the 8th, it says "No additional fees."
