Je m'appelle Adeline, j'ai 17ans, j'habite en Alsace et je suis actuellement en Terminale S.
Je souhaiterais partir un an à l'étranger après l'obtention de mon bac, pour être plus précise aux USA. Je souhaiterais donc refaire une nouvelle année de terminale dans un High School pour la rentrée 2008-2009.
J'ai donc commencé à faire plusieurs recherches et j'ai contacté plusieurs organismes différents, NACEL, WEP, PIE, Terre des langues, EF, STS, SILC ...
Un problème est très vite apparu, pour pouvoir étudier un an aux USA pendant cette année là, il faut être né après le 01.03.90, or je suis née le 27.01.90. Plusieurs organismes m'ont répondu que j'étais trop vieille pour pouvoir participer à leur programme, et que je serais aussi trop vieille par rapport aux élèves seniors des high school... Alors que tout se joue à quelques jours près... Je suis pourtant née dans la bonne année de départ, c'est à dire 1990 !!
L'organisme PIE, m'a proposé une solution de replis, une "prépa usa" + une année scolaire au Canada, c'est à dire que je passerais un mois aux USA avec pleins de jeunes venant du monde entier et que j'aurais des cours, je vivrais dans une famille d'accueil américaine et tous les jours (sauf WE) j'aurais des cours de remise à niveau en anglais pour bien commencer mon année au Canada, il y'aura aussi des sorties et des visites de prévues. Une fois que ce mois ce sera écoulé j'irais donc au Canada pour 10mois, je logerais dans une famille d'accueil et j'irais donc dans un high school Canadien...
En ce qui concerne l'organisme NACEL, je leur ai écris en leur donnant bien ma date de naissance et on m'a répondu qu'on m'envoyait une brochure pour que je puisse avoir plus d'infos et sur la première page je vois qu'il faut avoir 18ans et 6 mois maximum au moment du départ qui s'effectue en août... donc bon j'en conclus que ce n'est pas possible mais c'est quand même bizarre qu'on m'ait envoyé la brochure si je ne peux pas participer étant donné que j'avais bien précisé dans mon mail ma date de naissance. Je leur ai donc répondu et depuis mercredi plus de nouvelle donc j'attends de voir...
J'attends encore des réponses de certains organismes, mais je pense déjà connaître leur réponse...
En bref tout ça pour dire que j'aimerais savoir, si vous me conseillerez de prendre l'option prépa USA + Canada, étant donné que c'est la seule pour l'instant qui s'offre à moi. Ou bien si vous avez d'autres idées ou solutions pour que je puisse quand même partir faire une terminale aux USA.

Bonjour. J'esper ne pas te deranger car je ne repond pas a ta question. Je sui un jeune etudiant de 16 ans et je reve, l'année prochaine d'allé passé une ané dans une hight school. Le seul problem c'est ke ma famille n'a pas les moyens de payer les organisation comme pie NACEL ect. En voyant ton message j'ai vu ke tu été pa mal informer sur le sujet. C'est pour sa ke j'aimeré ke tu reponde a quelques si sa ne te derange pas😊

Et ayan beaucoup reflechi a la question je me suis demander si il n'etait pas possible de partir l'anné prochaine dans une famille d'acueille (gratuitement🙂) et l'anné suivante de recevoir un étudiant de leur famille gratuitement aussi. Si tu pense que s'est une bonne idée; a tu des renseignements, ou une possibilité de rentré en contact avec un americain qui reve de passer une anné en france gratuitement nouri loger?

Je suis plus ou moins dans le même cas qu' Adeline... Je suis en terminal ES et j'aimerai refaire une terminale aux USA (en revanche, j'ai l'âge requis par les organismes). Mon but est seulement d'appendre l'anglais et de me faire des amis alors cette formule me paraissait bien mais tu me mets un doute en me disant que je vais me faire chi*r là bas ... Je sais que le niveau est plus bas qu'en France mais mon objectif n'est pas d'obtenir des diplômes mais seulement d'apprendre l'anglais ...
Alors voilà ma "question" : Crois tu que dans mon cas, ce serait une bonne idée de refaire une terminale aux US ?

Je ne connais pas ton cas personnel, mais si vraiment t'as envie de partir la bas, vas y fonce!
Une experience a l'etranger c'est TOUJOURS profitable.
Pour les cours, ca depend de toi, ce a quoi tu t'attends et ce que tu peux 'supporter'. Mais bon a priori tu vas te concentrer pour comprendre ce que les profs et surtout les eleves disent, et tu verras que les premieres semaines tu seras epuisee en rentrant des cours le soir. Ensuite ca depend, mais j'ai deja tout dit!

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
