Hi everyone, here’s our itinerary. Arriving on the evening of December 13th. Departing on January 7th. Thanks in advance for your tips and valuable feedback.

Manila – 1 night Coron – 4 nights Coron to El Nido cruise – 2 nights El Nido – 4 nights Port Barton – 5 nights Flight from Puerto Princesa to Vigan Vigan – 2 nights Sagada – 2 nights Banaue – 2 nights Bagabag – 1 night Manila – 1 night I’ve only booked the flight to Manila and the Manila/Coron flight so far. Is it possible to book boat trips, accommodations, and the Puerto Princesa flight last-minute?

Thanks in advance. Florence

Hi there, for flights I booked in advance and got some really good fares—I’d recommend booking early, even for hotels I’d reserved ahead just to be safe. But for boat excursions, you can easily book them the day before or even two days ahead. https://www.voyagetranquille.com/vacances-aux-philippines/

Here’s my post about the Philippines—you might find some useful info!

Hi there, A few questions about your route: you mention a flight to Vigan. Are you considering Laoag Airport, the closest one about 1.5 hours away? Then how do you plan to get to Sagada? Crossing the cordillera by bus seems really long. There’s probably the option of hiring a car with a driver... I’d love to hear about your experience because we’d like to do Sagada-Vigan at the end of March, but I’m afraid we might have to drop the idea given how complicated it seems. Safe travels! !

Hi, were you able to find any info for this route? I’m wondering too—I wanted to avoid domestic flights, but the overnight bus from Manila to Sagada or Banaue isn’t ideal either, especially if you’re coming from somewhere else and don’t need to go back through Manila.

Hi, We’ve given up on the idea of going all the way to Sagada and Vigan—too many difficult transport options. After landing in Clark, we’ll gradually head up into Luzon. We’ll do Pinatubo, then maybe the Hundred Islands by car with a driver. After that, we’ll take a bus to Baguio for one night, then another bus to Banaue for a 3-day trek. We’ll then head back to Clark for our flight to Cebu. Happy planning! Annie

Hi there, have you done your trip yet? Could you share your experience, especially about your routes in Luzon to get to Banaue while making a few stops along the way? I’m leaving soon. Thanks! !

Hi, We're leaving on March 17th, and we'll be in Luzon from the 18th to the 28th. If I have Wi-Fi, I'll share updates! From Clark, we plan to take a bus to the Hundred Islands, then two days later Texte another bus to Baguio. After that, we'll take a taxi or a van to Banaue. Happy planning!

Thanks. Actually, I'll be there earlier—Luzon from March 16th to 23rd...! I'm still figuring out how to organize the trips; it's complicated.

I remember a trip to Banaue a few years ago. Banaue, then Sagada via Bontoc, and Sagada to Baguio! It must exist in the other direction too! All of it by bus and jeepney! !
