Si tu te poses trop de questions peut être n'est ce pas bon signe...
Toutefois si tu as l'assurance d'obtenir un CDI par la suite ça peut être interressant. En effet la Vie est trés chère en Polynésie, tu n'as pas à te soucier du logement et du véhicule donc c'est déjà un trés bon point car c'est sans nul doute les choses les plus chères à assurer sans parler de trouver le logement et à quel prix.
Pour ce qui est de Papeete, ce n'est pas la plus jolie vile de Polynésie, du moins Tahiti est loin d'être la plus belle ile. (Personnellement je n'ai jamais réussi à me baigner dans ses eaux jusqu'à ce jour);
Pour ce qui est de la vie là bas les polynésiens sont un peuple accueillant mais ont une culture et un art de vivre auquels ils sont trés attachés(et ils ont raison!!!), cela peut destabiliser certains européens et autres métros.
Mais cela reste l'assurance d'une belle expérience surtout si tu pars en Famille

Papeete n'est peut-être pas à vos yeux la plus jolie ville de Polynésie mais citez-m'en une autre..?? Papeete étant la seule ville de l'île de Tahiti, je veux parler d'une "VRAIE" ville comme en métropole!! le reste on ne peut pas à proprement parler de "ville". Et des efforts d'embellissement commencent à être fait, il faut laisser le temps au temps.
Tahiti est une belle île, pour qui sait la découvrir, certes sans plage de sable blanc, mais la Pointe Vénus, la plage Lafayette ( près du Radisson) et le PK 18 pour ne citer que ces plages-là, sont très faciles d'accès et très agréables, aussi je ne comprends pas que vous puissiez dire que vous n'avez jamais réussi à vous baigner dans les eaux de Tahiti!!! Je ne sais pas où vous habitez, mais refaites vite le tour de l'île et prenez le temps de vous arrêtez de temps en temps.

comment peut on laisser dire ça...et l'on peut citer aussi la presqu' île, les plages de surf de Papenoo ou de Papara, l'interieur de l'île, le plateau des orangers, Teahupoo et j'en passe !!

E, je suis contente que vous soyez de mon avis. Y en a marre d'entendre toujours dire que Tahiti c'est pourri. Certes, à Papeete, il y a des nuisances comme dans toutes les villes où il y a concentration d'emplois et de population mais je le répète l'île est très agréable et tous les sites que vous citez faciles d'accès à l'exception peut-être du plateau des orangers et encore...
Personnellement j'habite la presqu''île, je passe très souvent et indifféremment par la côte Est ou Ouest et je découvre toujours quleque chose de nouveau. J'ai une légère préference pour l'Est plus sauvage, mais que ce soit d'un côté ou de l'autre il y a toujours un petit coin où l'on peut faire tranquillement trempette même s'il n'y a pas de sable blanc, mais les eaux sont toujours "nickel". Bon, parfois boueuses lorsqu'il pleut à cause des nombreuses rivières qui se jettent dans le lagon et des courants marins, mais que faire c'est la nature!!!
Avec tous les avis que tu as reçu, je me demande si tu as compris quelque chose en ce qui concerne la démission de ta femme ?
Elle peut quitter son poste pour te suivre : cela s'appelle une démission légitime. Elle aura droit aux allocations chômage en rentrant en métropole ( à condition qu'elle rentre dans un délai maximum de 4 ans).

Mais si je peux me permettre, étant donné que vous avez un enfant en bas âge, pourquoi ne pas faire jouer le congé parental (tant que l'enfant n'a pas ses 3 ans ?).
Et la vie en Polynésie est beaucoup moins stressante qu'en métropole ! même à Papeete et ses fameux embouteillages sur la RDO et le front de mer ...

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
