Je suis actuellement Éleve en BTS Technico-Commercial, j'ai 23 ans et j'envisagerai de quitter la métropole (je vis actuellement à Nîmes) pour la Nouvelle-Calédonie. Si les paysages et le climat m'attire, je suis également à la recherche d'un dépaysement total, tout en conservant ma langue natale (à savoir le français).
J'aimerais tout d'abord savoir si vous savez (pensez) que la Nouvelle-Calédonie propose de nombreux postes de Technico-Commercial, Commercial ou Vendeur, comme c'est aujourd'hui le cas en métropole?
Ensuite, niveau économique, j'aimerais connaitre votre avis? Car il est vrai que je ne cherche pas a devenir milliardaire, mais je vis actuellement de façon satisfaisante en Métropole, en étant étudiant...
Enfin, avez-vous des conseils ou biens des organismes, sites ou autres duquel je peux me rapprocher afin de d'éclaircir ma situation ?

Finis ton année (si tu es en dernière année de BTS) et commences (continues) à économiser avant d'arriver sur place. Du boulot dans ta branche, oui pourquoi pas si tu es motivé. Une expérience professionnelle serait un plus c'est certain.
Continues de lire les posts du forum et tu verras dans quelques mois si tu es toujours aussi volontaire pour partir.
on a souvent évoqué une loi qui doit etre votée, favorisant les emplois aux natifs de la NC.
En tout cas, sache que loi ou pas, les syndicats mettent quelques batons ds les roues aux patrons qui souhaitent embaucher des gens fraichements débarqués.
Renseigne toi bien, épluche les posts qui traitent de l'emploi en NC, sur ce forum.
Nous partons à 2 avec un pote le 21 juin et nous préparons se voyage depuis maintenant quelques mois.
Ce que j'ai pu apprendre de mes différentes recherches donnent le résultat suivant:
LE REPORTAGE DE CAPITAL NE REFLET PAS LA RÉALITÉ (je pense que c'est le point le plus important)La vie est cher surtout au niveau de l'alimentation (multiplie le prix de métropole par 1, 5)Les loyés sont aux même prix (métropole)Coté boulot plusieurs point:Les locaux sont prioritaires sur les nouveaux arrivant (point très important à prendre en considération dans ton cas car si un local peu faire un boulot auquel tu as postulé on le prendra lui plutôt que toi)--> valide absolument ton BTS avant de partir ne fait pas la bêtise de tout lâcher avant de partir
Certain secteur recrute (BTP, boulanger, hôpitaux, informatique(pour me rassurer ;) ) MAIS PAS TOUS
Pour les cotés positif je pense que tu t déjà bien renseigné au vu de ta motivation.
Pour ma part j'ai prix un billet aller retour me laissant 1 mois afin de tâter le terrain.
A oui aussi prévoir pas mal de sous de coté pour se lancer
Et si tu est vraiment décidé prévoir:
Passeport
Permis de conduire international
Formulaire SE 988-02 (pour bosser la bas)
Clôturer les différent abonnement (tel, assurance etc...)
Réserver l'auberge
Ne pas oublier les papiers important (diplôme, casier judiciaire, etc...)
si je peux me permettre, le formulaire tu pourras le trouver là-bas et tu n'as pas besoin de permis international. La nc c'est encore la france... Prendre déjà un billet retour est une bonne sécurité, mais un mois c'est peut-être un peu court. Quand on on n'est pas très spécialisé, trouver du travail eput prendre un peu de temps. Si tu cherches le soleil et de magnifiques payasages, tu es sûr de les trouver. Pour le dépaysement, il te faudra sortir de nouméa la blanche, un ville provinciale française égaré en océanie pour t'enfoncer dans la brousse kanak et caldoche et sur les îles loyautés. Par contre, en technico commercial, c'est sans doute à nouméa que tu trouveras du travail. Sinon oui, l'alimentation est plus chère, les loyer un poil plus (comme dans une grande ville de métropole), mais avec un salaire moyen tu t'en sortiras très bien.
La nc est un territoire complexe mais passionnant, magnifique aussi t enrichissant pour peu que tu ne te laisse pas leurrer par la vie à la française de nouméa. TU peux vivre en nc comme en france, le soleil en plus, mais ce serait passer à côté de ce qui fait la richesse de l'île.

Il est certains, que je ne quitterais pas la métropole sans avoir au moins plusieurs entretiens d'embauche, voir même un poste... Je n'ai vraiment pas l'intention de faire un simple aller-retour pour quelques semaines.

Quels sont les grandes enseignes auprès desquelles je peux postuler (notamment à Nouméa{au moins dans un premier temps})?
Au niveau d'Internet, par exemple quels sont les offres qui vous sont proposés? et les opérateurs ?
Je sais déjà que le SMIC est plus faible qu'en métropole, je sais aussi qu'en arrivant de métropole, je ne devrais pas avoir le droit au chômage, mais existe-t-il un RMI (même si en France je suis encore trop jeune pour en bénéficier)?
Tu as très peu de chances d'être embauché suite à un entretien téléphonique ou même l'envoi d'un CV dans ta spécialité. Lorsque tu seras décidé, prévois simplement un billet retour au cas où (moins cher que 2 allers simples) valable 1 an si possible (remboursement possible avec pénalités toutefois). Aucun patron ne prendra le risque d'embaucher un métropolitain qui n'est pas encore sur place alors que la priorité est à l'emploi local.
Pas de RMI en NC et allocation chômage après 9 mois de boulot (à te faire confirmer) ininterrompu pendant quelques mois seulement.
Pour internet, un seul opérateur (l'OPT) et plusieurs FAI :
connection internet mensuel : abt télécom 8 à 17 € + 5% taxes + abonnement fournisseur d'accès 24 € minimum opérateur mobile en NC : l'OPT auprès de qui tu devras souscrire un abonnement (forfaits de 1 h à 16 h de 28 à 123 €) ou pas (carte liberté 51 € dont 25 € de com. puis recharge de 9 à 42 €)

Mon ami est, quant à lui, ingénieur en info (développement C++, Java/J2EE)
Nous avons conscience que ce ne sera pas évident de se faire embaucher à distance, pensez-vous toutefois qu'on ait une chance?

Très peu de chances en effet d'obtenir un contrat de travail à distance sauf peut être pour ton mari qui peut essayer de contacter des entreprises ou administrations par mail ou courrier.
Comme souvent répété sur ce forum, si vous en avez les moyens, allez-y, repérez les lieux et "sentez" si le cadre de vie, l'environnement, les entreprises ou sociétés dans lesquelles vous irez vous plairont. Si vous êtes vraiment décidés à partir, à tenter l'aventure dès votre arrivée, prévoyez cependant le billet retour, quitte à vous le faire rembourser plus tard.
Difficile de vous conseiller car nous ne connaissons pas votre situation personnelle, votre motivation, ni surtout ce que vous laissez derrière vous et ce que vous pourrez retrouver en France si l'expérience de la NC n'est pas concluante.
Afin de débuté ma recherche d'emploi, j'aurais deux petites questions:
Dans la Zone Géographique de Nouméa, quels sont les magasins en cuisine (tel que Schmidt ou Cuisinella), matériaux (Lapeyre ou Castorama), nouvelles technologies (téléphone, TV, PC...) ou dans le cadre des nouvelles énergies (Panneaux Solaire...) ?

Il y a actuellement 3 crêperies sur Nouméa + 1 crêpier-glacier. Tu ne précises pas si tu veux être salariée ou ouvrir ton propre commerce.
La retraite de 1300 € permettra de te loger et vos économies peuvent vous feront tenir quelques mois (moins longtemps si vous devez vous meubler et surtout acheter un véhicule sur place, l'assurer, etc...).
Pour les chats, s'ils peuvent rester dans la famille, c'est mieux.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
