encore une fois rien ne vaut une visite et un séjour sur place...
j'ai regardé briêvement dans Google , l'ïle de Margarita semble plutôt être une destination très touristique des Caraïbes et un paradis pour touristes plutôt qu'un lieu de réglement de comptes et de violence.
Maintenant c'est certain souvent les paradis tropicaux peuvent être des enfers sur le fond , le décor en carton-pâte de façade des hôtels et des resorts cachent les arrières-cours et la misère sociale c'est un autre débat ...🙂

La situation du Venezuela n'est plus celle des années 90 c'est vrai. Mais le pays à tous les atout pour se remettre sur pied rapidement une fois le gouvernement actuel mis dehors.
Dire qu'il n'y a rien, qu'il n'y a pas de nourriture ou je ne sais quoi...C'EST FAUX!
La situation est difficile pour les locaux qui tentent de vivre avec 40 dollars par mois, pas pour un européen qui souhaite y passer sa retraite.
Quelle tristesse de voir que les "experts" journalistes de TF1 (qui ne savent même pas situer le pays sur une carte), aidés par des pouvoirs publics tellement éloignés du continent sud-américain, même pas capable de prévoir la situation calamiteuse de la Guyane, peuvent à se point ruiner la réputation d'un pays et de son peuple et tuer la dernière chose qui pourrait faire survivre le pays: le tourisme.

Je ne connais pas ce pays. J'ai effectivement regardé les articles socio politique du Vénézuela mais il n'est pas simple de mesurer la situation n'étant pas sur place.
Avant d'approfondir cette piste en y allant, je suis preneur d'expériences ici ou là.

Selon vos centres d'interêt, vous pourrez vraiment vous y plaire.
La preuve, j'ai quitté la France pour vivre là-bas. Je ne meurs pas de faim, on ne m'a jamais agressé, et malgré tout les problèmes du pays, j'y trouve ce que je cherchais.
Chacun à ses raisons qui le poussent à découvrir son pays. Il n'y a pas à conseiller ou déconseiller un pays. C'est un peu le coup de gueule que je voulais pousser car on ne voit que ca au sujet du Venezuela: "à éviter" "trop dangeureux" "je déconseille" etc....
C'est difficile de faire part de son expérience dans un pays par le biais d'un message sur un forum. Je vous invite à jeter un coup d'oeil à mon blog. J'y publierai au moins un nouvel article par semaine pour raconter la réalité du pays, la culture, les choses à voir etc...

J'ai aussi lu certains articles concernant des actions bénévoles de dénombrements d'espèces marines sur Margarita (requins citron) et, pour un plongeur professionnel que je suis, cela m'interesse beaucoup.
Le déplacement sur place me semble inévitable pour apprécier les espaces et la vie.
J'ai pris bonne note des astuces pour les billets d'avion. Je serai en Martinique en octobre et pense pousser le voyage sur Margarita à cette occasion.

Il n'y aurait donc pas de pénurie de nourriture??? Sur un autre forum, il y avait un français qui disait bien que la situation était catastrophique, qu'il n'y avait plus rien dans les magasins, et que le peu qu'il y avait était extrêmement cher, que tout avait augmenté et qu'il demandait comment obtenir un visa pour sa compagne vénézuelienne pour s'installer en France...
A côté de ça, en octobre, où la situation était déjà lamentable, j'ai renseigné puis discuté avec deux venezueliens (enfin, un car l'autre ne parlait pas anglais) et apparemment, il avait un bon boulot et de l'argent, parce que ça coûte un bras de voyager en Europe quand on n'a pas d'argent...
Pour comprendre la chose, je me suis rencardée sur internet, parce qu eles médias français, comme pour la Guyane c'est silence radio (ou dès que la crise est au plus haut), et en effet, au Venezuela, il y a la majorité qui en ch** grave et l'autre, souvent hauts-fonctionnaires et riches qui s'en sortent et qui vivent normalement et peut-être qu ela situation à Caracas est différente du reste du pays...
Ce qui est peut-être le cas à Margarita qui est une île, après tout, donc "éloignée " des problèmes du continent... Je vous ai dit que c'était aussi un fameux repaire des trafiquants??? :p
Sinon, je connais ma géographie, et sûrement mieux que vous, celui qui a critiqué notre "connaissance" géographique!!!

Je n'ai pas dit qu'il n'y a pas de crise. Je dis seulement qu'il est possible d'y vivre pour un européen ayant des revenus 30 ou 40 fois supérieurs que le salaire minimum ici.
Et pour ce qui est des pénuries, elles concernent les ventes officielles. Car oui, ici, c'est difficile d'acheter par exemple 1 kilo de farine en supermarché, mais vous pourrez l'acheter à chaque coin de rue, un plus cher que le prix officiel. Et plus cher signifie très peu pour un européen.
Et un billet d'avion Paris Caracas, coûte entre 500 et 800 euros, que vous soyez à Paris ou à Caracas. Evidement, pour un vénézuélien qui gagne 50 euros par mois, c'est énorme.
Mais pour un retraité français, ça ne coute pas plus cher que vivre dans n'importe quel autre coin de la planète.
Et pour le gros malin, je ne vend rien du tout. Je donne juste mon point de vue sur un pays que j'adore et dans lequel je vis. Un pays sur lequel tout le monde crache sans le connaître.
Je le répète, je n'ai pas dit qu'il n'y a pas de crise dans le pays. Je la vis moi même tous les jours. Mais tout le monde n'a pas les mêmes aspirations dans la vie. Et ce qui peut vous paraître insupportable à vous ne l'est pas pour un autre. De quel droit "déconseiller" à quelqu'un de s'intéresser à un pays.
Oui Stef, j'ai lu les consignes de sécurité cela m'a rappelé les mêmes consignes de sécurités quand j'étais à Rio.J'avais loué un apart près de copacabana.
Et dès que la nuit tombé les cariocas marchaient très très vite.Un pote brésilien m'a expliqué la raison en fait c'est pour repérer plus rapidement un éventuel agresseur!Il devra donc courir pour te rattraper.Quand je suis rentrer en France c'était un truc de dingue.J'avais acquis des réflexes "de survie urbaine" brésilienne.Je regardais 50 m devant moi ce que tous passants faisaient etc.Je me suis quand même fait cloner ma carte et dépouiller de 5 €.
Après j'ai rencontré des touristes complètement inconscients avec des chaînes en or autour du cou.Alors que chaque semaines y avait des agressions graves aux couteaux etc.D'ailleurs un pote brésilien était en panique car lui vivait dans la banlieue très éloigné du centre.Et c'était vraiment des gentils dans le coin ou il habitait.
Je reste quand même sceptique...
Perso je serai un retraité euh je rechercherai ^plutôt la tranquillité et sécurité.Pas de risques de me faire enlever contre rançon etc etc.

J'ai une question pour ceux qui vivent présentement au Vénézuéla. Voilà, je suis Québécoise et je suis tombée en amour avec un Vénézuélien lors de mon voyage au Pérou. Mon ami m'a beaucoup parlé de son beau pays, mis il doit venir s'expatrier au Pérou pour y travailler et aider sa famille à subvenir à ses besoins. La crise est bien réelle. Il est possible d'acheter de la nourriture l journée une vous permet votre numéro d'ID. Les médicaments et la nourriture est très dispendieux. Voilà, j'aimerais que mon amoureux vienne me rejoindre au Canada. Toutefois, pour un visa de visiteur, mon pays demande une garantie qu'il retournera au Venezuela ou au Pérou. J'ai donc pensé à l'achat d'une propriété pas trop cher. Avez-vous des suggestions? L'île de margarita est un bon plan?

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
