J'habite dans le sud de la France, je suis serveuse (chef de rang) diplômée d'une bonne école d'un BEP d’hôtellerie et restauration, sa fait 5 ans que je travaille.
Si quelqu'un à des adresses à me conseiller ?
L'hiver dernier je suis partie dans le sud de l'Inde pour y vivre 4 mois donc je connais un peu les galères du voyages (tout n'est jamais tout beau tout rose nul part !!).
J’épluche les discussions de ce forum depuis plusieurs semaines et j'ai cru comprendre que les débuts à Nouméa ne sont pas tout rose non plus 😮, que la vie y est cher (4,70euros le paquet de pâtes c'est noté), le travail pour les locaux en premiers (normal!) et que pour trouver une collocation faut rencontrer du monde !
Donc je prévoit de faire ma saison d'été ici, histoire de partir avec je pense 5000 euros en poche. D'après vous es ce suffisant ?
Mon départ est donc prévu pour le mois d'octobre 2011, j’espère rester au moins 2 ans.
Je parts seule donc si il y a des gens motivés ?
Je pense que pour bien découvrir un lieu les habitants natifs ou non sont les mieux placés et ne connaissant personne sur l'île si parmi vous il y en a qui sont partants pour me faire visiter ou même simplement faire des rencontres ??

J'ai également prévu de partir là-bas pour des raisons personnelles. Concernant le cout de la vie à Nouméa, il semble qu'effectivement, elle ne soit pas spécialement donnée. depuis quelques temps déjà, j'essaie de trouver des infos concernant les prix sur la nourriture mais impossible de trouver la moindre info. En revanche, on a une idée du montant de certaine choses concernant la vie numériqaue et plus particulierement l'abonnement internet.
J'aimerai beaucoup me joindre a vous pour cette expédition. Je ne vais pas tarder, en principe, a recevoir le plan de Nouméa.
Si ma compagnie peut vous interresser, ce sera avec grand plaisir que je tenterai d'avancer mon projet de départ.
Pour les prix des loyers ou de nourritures en fouinant sur ce forum tu devrais trouver pas mal d'info !

Cette nuit (je ne dormais pas), j'ai farfouillé un peu partout et j'ai effectivement trouvé quelques infos concernant les loyers. Si tu as besoin, je pourrais t'envoyer quelques liens. Pour avoir un ordre d'idée, un studio d'environ 20 m² dans Nouméa coute 50 000 francs pacifique, donc environ 420 €. Pour ce qui est de l'emploi, je suis actuellement en plein dessus dans la recherche. Mais dans mon domaine, je pense qu'il sera préférable que je crée ma propre boite (informatique). Niveau logement, j'ai déja commencé a prendre contact avec des gens qui proposent des locations et j'attends des réponses. Je comptais partir m'installer définitivement car ma situation en France me pose trop de problèmes psychologiques. Concernant, les dates de départ, pour le moment, je n'ai rien fixé de très précis, juste a savoir que j'aimerais quand meme partir avant la fin de l'année. Pour le moment, je n'ai pas encore réunis les fonds financiers nécessaires et je dois aussi faire mon passeport, donc, je pense avoir encore un peu de temps devant moi.
salut , j'ai vécu 6 ans à nouméa et là je fais une pause mais je vais y revenir d'ici 1 an. Concernant le studio de 20 m² à 50000 F, c'est pas cher du tout et ça doit être dans un quartier pas terrible. Faut savoir qu'au centre de Nouméa c'est assez mal fréquenté le soir....Un studio dans un quartier tranquille, c'est plus cher que ça. Pour les prix de la nourriture , je peux vous dire mais oubliez les produits laitiers, c'est hors de prix, la charcuterie aussi, le fromage, les fruits et légumes sont excessifs...Les agences immo vous demandent pas mal de garantie (un contrat de travail, gagner 3 fois le montant du loyer....)
enfin bref, c'est un très beau pays mais soit il faut se contenter de peux, soit il faut très bien gagner sa vie. A vous de voir vos exigences
Effectivement, 50 000cfp pour un studio c'est pas très cher... enfin c'est vraiment le minimum. Vaut mieux faire une coloc, comme beaucoup de monde!
POur le nourriture, oui tout est cher, entre 2 et 3 fois le prix de ceux en métropole.

pour ce qui est de l'appart a 50 000 soit c'est une colloc soit c'est un attrape pigeon, le minimum c'est 70 000 et encore c'est au quartier latin ou au centre donc des quartiers qui peuvent etre agité le soir (maintenant plus on s'eloigne du centre moins c'est cher mais la SAV le matin faut se la taper quand on bosse en ville)
juste une petite precision j'ai vu que tu travaillais en informatique, si t'est technicien y aura du taf (plus ou moins facilement) si t'est ingénieur c'est mort a moins d'accepter des postes avec moins de qualifications
5000 euro c'est pas mal, c'est pas le perou mais tu devrait etre tranquille quelques temps (perso j'avais 7000 sans compter le billet d'avion)
enfait ton budget vas surtout te servir a te loger et peut etre acheter une voiture
au vu de tes qualification j te conseillerai de chercher un taf "alimentaire" sur la baie des citrons en arrivant mais ca ne sera que du service payé une misere (environ 120 ou 130 000xpf) mais l'avantage c'est que tu pourra trouver une colloc pas trop loin donc pas forcement besoin de voiture. (voir a la casa del sol ca bouge pas mal)
apres si tu veux toucher plus il te fauda bouger un peu dans les autres resto, ca tourne pas mal donc faut poser des cv et avoir la chance d'arriver au bon moment. mais si tu trouve une bonne place et que tu peux passer responsable ca pourra le faire.
sinon un dernier conseil essaye de mettre un peu plus d'argent de coté si tu peux pour profiter pour visiter l'ile en arrivant parcequ'apres c'est plus compliqué niveau financier et temps libre.

Effectivement, quand je dis que je suis dans l'informatique, oui, je suis technicien de maintenance. J'ai pas eu mon diplome mais je suis tombé dedans depuis gamin et j'ai acquis de vsates connaissances. Si j'arrive a faire un essai, je sais qu'il serai concluant, donc je garde espoir. Pour ce qui est du montant de loyer d'appartement, l'info date de 2009 pour un appart dans le quartier de rivière salée, si je me rappelle bien donc depuis, c'est certainement erroné.
Au fait, moi je sous-loue ma chambre du 16 avril au 15 mai, dans maison meublée, jardin, Wifi, à Anse vata, près de la plage, coloc sympa pour 75 000cfp tout compris. Si ça intéresse qqn, ça peut dépanner!
Je vois que tu habites en nouvelle calédonie, j'envisage de m'y installer aussi peut etre ds un futur plus ou moins proche avec ma femme est mon fils qui a 9 mois.
pour ma part je travaille dans le marketing (j'ai bac+4), mais je peux aussi occuper des taches plus administratives (bonne maitrise de tout ce qui est bureautique). je parle aussi anglais & espagnol couramment, je pourrai donc bosser dans tout ce qui est tourné vers l'international, pense tu qu'il a du travail dans ce secteur? j'ai aussi vu qu'adecco était bien implanté, mais de ce que j'ai vu ils proposent surtout du boulot ds le batiment !
sinon tu pense que c risqué de s'installer sans boulot avec un enfant de 9 mois?
j connais pas top le marché pour tes qualifs donc j prefere pas dire de conneries. par contre essaye de contacter adecco pour te renseigner y pourront surement de répondre. par contre ne compte pas trop avoir un poste qu'on te garde pour que tu vienne, generalement y te disent si y a moyen ou pas apres le reste se passera quand tu sera dans leur bureau.
apres venir s'installer avec femme et enfants c'est largement fesable la seul chose c'est qu'il faut arriver avec un bon capital de départ
Si tu as peur pour trouver du boulot, ne t'e nfaios pas trop... tu en trouvera si tu t'en donne les moyens... la vie est chère certes mais bon, un paquet de pattes de 500 grammes à 120 PCF (donc 1 euros), ça se trouve !! :)
l'ideal en arrivant, c'est de te poser à l'auberge, tu rencontrera du monde, tu verra les ptits annonces (voir sur immobilier.nc pour colloc)
je suis installé à nouméa depuis plus d'1 mois, j'avais déja le boulot en arrivant ici donc ce fut plus facile
tu pense venir quand? avant de te chercher un colloc, il te faut d'abord le taf, sinon personne te prendra (sauf les colloc ou c'est le bordel!)

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
