je m'envole dans qq temps en guyane, précisément à matoury. je ne trouve aucune info sur le net à propos de cette commune. Quelqu'un peut-il m'en dire un peu plus?
Bien fréquenté? beau quartier? niveau des élèves? ( collège la canopée, si connaisseur)
En clair, de koi doit on avoir peur?
J'ai vecue toute mon enfance a Matoury et j'y retourne souvent en vacances.
Tu seras dans quel etablissement et de quel coté logeras tu?
Je te pose ces questions car Matoury est tres vaste d'un point de vue geographique (tout est relatif, a ne pas comparer avec une grande ville metropolitaine) et les infos que tu desires avoir depend de l'endroit ou tu es affectée.

En fait je travaillerai au collège Matoury 1, appelé aussi la canopée. Pour l'instant, j'ai trouvé un toit temporaire chez l'habitant, mais je ne suis pas encore partie. Alors mm si ma décision est prise, j'aimerai bien savoir où je vais. Comment c'est là bas? si tu pouvais me donner le maximum d'infos ça serait sympa!
En fait, j'ai ete scolarisée a ce college de 1988 (annee d'ouverture) a 1992. Ensuite ont suivie mes cousines jusqu'en 2005. Leur scolarité s'est bien passée et la mienne aussi d'ailleurs.
Je pense qu'en matiere de qualité, c'est peut etre le meilleur college de Matoury.
Au niveau frequentation, la population est tres diversifiée autant sur les origines que sur le niveau social.
Mais, je ne connais pas les conditions de travail d'un enseignant.
Je ne pense pas que tu y retrouves plus de problemes qu'ailleurs. Tout depend de ce que tu recherches et des experiences que tu as vecues.
Pars tu avec une aprehension? d'ou ta question que je ne comprend pas: "Que quoi doit on avoir peur?"
Ben en fait, on m'a dit tellement d'horreurs sur la guyane " genre les serpents, les araignées "etc. que ça me fait un peu peur. Mais bon, je voudrais savoir où vaudrait-il mieux habiter, remire-montjoly, matoury ou cayenne.
Je recherche un endroit calme et où il ya des commerces à proximité. De sorte que je ne me retrouve pas perdue au fin fond d'une ville où il n'y a pas grand chose. Le plus beau coin pour habiter ce serait où? sachant que je pense m'acheter une tite voiture!
Je vais aussi aller habiter en guyane à remire (à partir de novembre), et je suis déjà allé dans le coin.
voici mon idée sur la question : remire Montjoly est plutot le coin "bourgeois" avec des maisons individuelles, piscine, etc. Tu as le Cora pas loin, si tu as besoin d'avoir des repères occidentaux ;-) (ceci dit les petits chinois sont souvent mieux).
Il semblerai que ça soit plus calme. maintenant si tu habites Matoury meme, là je ne connais pas, mais je ne vois pas pourquoi ça craindrait plus qu'ailleurs.
Il y a juste à cayenne meme que je n'aimerai pas habiter, car c'est la "ville", avec ses paumés. Ceci dit j'ai des amis qui y vivent très bien, y compris des femmes seules. Question de gout.
En tout cas ne t'en fait pas des horreurs qu'on dit sur la guyane, on ne croise pas de mygale et d'anaconda tous les jours... meme s'il y a un peu plus d'insécurité qu'en métropole, je m'y sent beaucoup plus en sureté que dans le métro à paris !
peut etre qu'un guyanais pourra confirmer ou infirmer mes propos...
Merci bcp d'avoir éclairé ma lanterne! c vrai que le quartier de remire montjoly est attrayant mais les loyers y sont astronomiques, donc, par rapport à mon budget, je pense que je vais devoir m'installer à Matoury... Enfin sait-on jamais, peut'être trouverais-je l'appart de rêve. Car pour moi l'entourage est primordial et je vois que le confort et la sécurité ont un prix!
Bon je verrai bien sur place, mais en tout cas, mes craintes se sont largement dissipées, et je me sens fin prête à partir.

oui tu as raison il vaut mieux bien choisir son entourage et son appartement. Sinon ça peut dégénérer en cambriolage répétitifs...
pour ma part je vais faire quelques petits boulots, tout en passant le concours de professeur d'eps (hé oui, un de plus dans l'enseignement ;-)).

C vrai qu'il y a énormément d'enseignants en guyane, mais moi j'y vais pour valoriser ma maitrise de lettres et valider mon expérience professionnelle. Ensuite, au bout de 3 ans, je passerai le capes interne. Mais peut etre que je l'aurai avant, on verra bien.
excellent projet !! j'pensais justement prendre un poste de contractuel aussi. C'est ce qui est sympa en guyane. Mais ceci dit compte pas sur le concours interne vu la conjoncture actuelle ;-)
Surtout qu'en guyane, il faut bcp de volonté pour bosser un concours... hé oué entre ti punch, soirée par ci, et il y a tellement de choses à voir... et le rythme n'est pas pareil. C'est jouable, mais il faut une discipline de fer... (dont j'ai peur de manquer j'avoue lol).

J'habite à Matoury depuis 4 ans et c'est un endroit sympa; moins riche que Rémire mais il y a des quartiers trés agréables.
Il n'y a pas d'insécurité notoire ; juste des vols comme partout ailleurs; Beaucoup de chinois ou tu peux faire tes courses, un marché le dimanche, une grande piscine .
Pour ce qui est du niveau des élèves il est le même qu'ailleurs. La canopée a bonne réputation.

Je ne sais pas où tu en es dans ta recherche de logement sur Matoury ni si tu es déjà en Guyane. Moi je suis originaire de Guyane et je vis en métropole. Mon père vit encore en Guyane et à MAtoury. Il loue des studios...ça peut peut-être t'intéresser. Si c'est le cas fais moi signe et je peux en parler à mon père!

Je disais qu.il est essentiel que tu décide de ton affectation en fonction du lieu et moins du collège car tous ces endroits sont totalement différents .
Je connais celui de Concorde car mes enfants y etaient . C.est assez calme. À côté de Matoury donc pas loin de Cayenne.
Je te conseillerai Cayenne ou Matoury'
Kourou à plus de problèmes d.insecurite. St. Laurent, c.est loin et Mana tout petit

Merci beaucoup pour ta réponse. J'avais effectivement fait mes vœux par rapport aux lieux. Mais je n'ai pas beaucoup de choix dans Cayenne. Et il y a des collèges peut être a éviter. Par exemple, on m'a dit de ne pas aller au collège PAUL KAPEL, CITE EAU LISETTE qui est situé dans les bidonvilles. Du coup, j'hésite a mettre Cayenne pour ne pas avoir ce genre de collège. il faut arreter de vouloir rester près de Cayenne, et réfléchir à ce qu'on veut!
Cayenne est la capitale et détient le plus grand nombre d'habitants par conséquent, ce qui engendre embouteillages, insécurité et tout le tralala.
tandis que dans l'ouest, c'est plus calme et humain!
après tout dépend de ce que vous recherchez!

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
