Je vous écris car je suis véritablement perdue! Je vous explique mon "cas":
J'ai appris depuis peu que j'allais faire un stage aux Etats-Unis à San Francisco.
Le problème étant que je commence le 21 mai et que je n'ai toujours pas commencé les démarches pour avoir un visa! Cela fait plusieurs jours que j'essaye de contacter mon entreprise pour obtenir le formulaire DS-2019 (pour le visa J-1), mais je ne pense pas qu'elle pourra me le fournir et que je l'aurai à temps. Autre solution: passer par des sites internet qui vous font payer un max pour avoir le formulaire en temps et en heure (j'envisage peut être cette solution, malheureusement...). Sur les conseils de mes professeurs, je pensai peut être prendre un visa touristique et sortir du territoire au bout de 90 jours et y revenir quelques jours après (mon stage dure 112 jours). Je ne sais pas si c'est possible. Que me conseillez-vous? est-il encore temps de prendre le visa J-1? J'espère ne pas trop me faire avoir par le temps. Merci à tous.

La majorité des entreprises ne fournissent pas le DS-2019, il faut effectivement passer par un organisme type Parenthèse Paris, Europe USA, Aquarius...etc.
Aller au Canada ou au Mexique ne remet pas le compteur à zéro dans l'immense majorité des cas. C'est à dire que si tu vas dans un de ces pays au bout de 90 jours et que tu veux retourner au États-Unis après, l'officier d'immigration peut décider de te redonner 90 jours comme il peut refuser (majorité des cas).
C'est précisé sur le site des douanes et de l'immigration:
"If you go to Canada and Mexico or the Caribbean, and while you are there, your initial 90-day period of entry expires, but you need to come back in to the U.S. to fly home, you may encounter a problem. The terms of the VWP are very clear - it is only to be used for occasional, short visits to the U.S. If the CBP Officer thinks you are trying to "reset" the clock by making a short trip out of the U.S. and re-entering for another 90-day period, you can be denied entry. (If that happens, you will have to obtain a visa for any future travel to the U.S.) In order to be re-admitted to the U.S. shortly after a previous admission expired, you will have to convince a CBP Officer that you are not trying to "game" the system."
A ta place, je commencerais dés demain les démarches pour le visa. Les demandeurs de visa J1 ont la priorité sur ceux de visa touristique donc ça peut être faisable.

J'ai vu les délais sur le site de l'ambassade américaine pour avoir un RDV, je ne pourrai jamais partir à temps !
Ne vous inquiétez pas. Pour tous nos programmes (Internship, PCT ou summer Work and Travel) vous pouvez compter sur un délai de 2 à 3 semaines entre le moment où votre dossier est complet et l'obtention de votre DS-2019.
Donc l'important c'est de commencer vite le dossier. Eux même recommandent de commencer au moins 1 mois avant le départ donc tu es dans les temps.

(je n'ai pas d'action chez Parenthèse mais leur site est un de ceux qui décrit le mieux la procédure sans avoir besoin de s'inscrire, c'est pour ça que je le cite).
Ok je vais lancer la procédure, mais il n'y a vraiment pas d'autres moyens d'avoir un visa pour faire un stage? (prendre un autre type de visa par ex). Car les prix sont excessivement cher!

effectivement pour partir en stage aux USA, il faut obligatoirement un visa...
Les démarches pour obtenir le visa J-1 sont plus dures depuis 2001 et il y a beaucoup de documents à présenter dont le DS-2019, qui ne peut être obtenue que par un organisme spécialisée comme ceux cités plus hauts!

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
