D'autre part, en cas justement de démission voire de licenciement prématuré, peut-on rester aux USA et travailler dans une autre entreprise ou le visa d'un an est valable uniquement pour Disney et on doit immédiatement quitter le territoire ?

quand a ton visa a priori si il est acquis pour un an, tu peux travailler ailleurs enfin je présume en tt cas!

Je devinais un peu qu'on pouvait partir au bout d'un moment si on voulait changer d'air mais je ne savais pas si on devait ensuite rentrer en France ou même rester aux US mais seulement en tant que touristes. Si ce que tu dis se vérifie, ça serait drôlement chouette !
(et ça voudrait aussi dire que Disney est un excellent moyen d'obtenir presque gratuitement un visa de travail d'un an pour les USA 😛)
En gros, je viens d'obtenir mon dernier diplôme et comme je ne trouve pas de travail intéressant dans ma branche, j'évalue l'alternative Disney Floride... j'aimerais faire si possible quelques mois seulement à Disney (j'ai lu ici sur ce forum et d'autres blogs, que le travail était loin d'être passionnant et la bulle Disney lassante) et ensuite rester aux US pour trouver soit un job en restauration dans une grande métropole (LA, Miami, SF...) soit trouver un vrai job et négocier avec l'employeur une prolongation de visa ou autre.
Pour info je suis dans le tourisme et il existe aux US des agences réceptives francophones un peu partout qui sont chargées d'organiser les voyages pour la clientèle française. Ils ont donc besoin des quelques français pour ça (j'anticipe la justification d'employer un français et non un américain 😉), c'est mon objectif et si je peux rester quelques mois aux US avec un visa de travail ça serait parfait.

J'ai envoyé ma candidature sur le site d'IS le 5 janvier 2013, pour un potentiel départ entre juillet et décembre. 2 jours plus tard j'ai recu un mail m'indiquant de les contacter via skype pour un entretien, ce que j'ai fais le jour même après plusieurs tentattives de coup de fil.
Bien qu'elle m'ai dit que mon anglais était correct, on est début février et je n'ai toujours pas de réponses. Est ce que je dois m'inquiéter?
Est ce qu' IS envoie dans tous les cas une réponse qu'elle soit positive ou négative ?
Est ce que je devrai les relancer ou attendre encore ?
Est ce que quelqu'un d'entre vous a eu une réponse tout de suite ou tardivement ? Est ce que le délai d'attente joue un rôle dans le fait d'être pris ou pas. Désolée pour toutes ces questions mais je suis vraiment en stress de ne pas etre sélectionnée pour les prochains entretiens. Ca serait gentil d'avoir différents avis.

Je suis dans le même cas que toi, j'ai passé l'entretien skype lundi et j'attend une réponse ..
J'ai eu le temps de trouver des infos sur pas mal de forum et ça varie vraiment d'un candidat à l'autre, certains ont la réponse le jour même ou le lendemain;
Pour d'autres ils ont la réponse une semaine après ( en gros comme moi ), pour toi apparemment ça prend encore un peu plus de temps !
A mon avis, ils ont surtout beaucoup de taff entre les candidatures et entretiens pour les Summerjob + ceux qui veulent partir en représentant culturel ..
Donc du coup, on peux seulement attendre et croiser les doigts ( même si c'est super stressant, et que tu commence a devenir dingue a checker ta boite mail plusieurs fois par jours 😉 )
En tout cas si tu as des nouvelles n'hésite pas à me les partager je veux bien savoir comment ça avance de ton coté !! :)

Il me semble qu'à la fin de l'entretien, elle m'avait dit que j'aurai une réponse en février, mais en fait avec le stress je n'étais plus sure d'avoir entendu ca lol. Je pense en effet qu'ils doivent avoir beaucoup de candidatures avec les Summerjobs.
Croisons les doigts en tout cas, je te tiendrai au courant bien entendu.

L'entretien je suis un peu mitigée, pour l'anglais ça c'est très bien passé elle m'a dit que c'était parfait qu'on pouvait continuer en français du coup. Par contre J'ai expliquée que j'étais actuellement au Royaume Uni depuis Septembre ( je suis en Erasmus ) & la elle m'a demandé si je savais que les entretiens étaient sur Lyon .. J'ai répondu que oui, que j'avais prévu un budget pour rentrer. J'espère que ça ne va pas être un obstacle :/ Sinon par skype c'est difficile de savoir, comme je ne voyais pas la personne qui me parlait je ne sait pas trop si ça c'est bien passé, elle ne laissait rien paraître.. Comme je l'ai dit la seule chose positive qu'elle m'ait dit était à propos de mon anglais.
Sinon elle m'a demandé si j'avais une préférence pour les deux dates de Lyon, qu'il fallait être bien habillé d'une telle manière, et elle m'a expliqué comment se passaient les deux entretiens ( avec Disney puis Bocuse ).
Ah ok pour Fevrier, & bien moi il me semble qu'elle m'ait dit réponse dans les 10 jours. Tu as passé tôt ton entretien donc a mon avis c'est normal que tu n'es pas eu de réponse tout de suite. Je dirais que ça devrait tomber à partir de lundi !!!

C'est vrai que j'ai postulé un peu tot car j'avais lu qu'on pouvait postuler à partir de décembre, donc peut être en effet que leur décision ne se font qu'a partir de février . La j'essaie de me rassurer je crois lol.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
