Marrakech 2025: My First Steps as a Private Guide

Congrats on your first steps as a private guide! 😉 Personally, I don’t think I could do it. There’d be a few casualties before the last day even rolled around… Maybe if I went somewhere that didn’t interest me at all. Then the party vibe would be the only goal of the trip.

I didn’t have an official guide gig—just wanted to share my "know-how" with friends. And enjoy their company to have a good time. Morocco will have to wait for another trip, that’s for sure! But we’ll do it our way…

Yes, thanks a lot Bruno for this really nice and funny feedback—just like always—even if I’m like Agnès when it comes to group travel. We tried it once with just a "good buddy," and it put us off for life 😄. See you "in Kenya" soon 😆

Hello Bruno,

Thanks! Your travel journal really made me laugh, and I discovered there’s a lake in Agafay that I personally didn’t see.

Traveling in a group is never easy, but when it works out, it creates unforgettable memories—and I get the feeling you’ll be remembering this trip for a long time (and so will your neighbors) 🙂

Wishing your calf a long recovery—it’s gotta hold up for your future trips and journals!

Hi Pascale! Thanks for stopping by—it’s great to know someone’s reading! The lake in question is Lake Lalla Takerskout, which seems to border the Agafay Desert. The view was a lovely surprise, discovered by chance thanks to the villa manager’s booking.

As for my calf, I’m on the mend, but recovery’s taking longer than expected… Maybe it’s the perfect excuse for a new travel journal to fill the downtime? 😉

Hi Françoise, and thanks for your message. Morocco! I hadn’t been back there in nearly 30 years, and I have to say, what I found made me want to explore the destination a bit more 😛

Yes, thank you so much Bruno for this really nice and funny feedback, as usual, even if I’m like Agnès when it comes to group travel. We tried it once with just a "good buddy" and it put us off for life 😄. See you soon "in Kenya" 😆

Group vacations are a "different" kind of experience compared to what you’d have as a couple. Of course, you have to make compromises, but our group is starting to really "bond". And that doesn’t stop us from having other adventures! I’m "on it like a car bonnet" for Kenya! 😎

Hi there!! I love this photo too!! Kudos to the photographer because the others are also top-notch—I’m loving them.

Thanks Bruno... I went there as a guest of the family and (what I didn’t know) our whole week was tightly scheduled, and we headed to the Ourika Valley: a beautiful green setting and a discovery of those stunning waterfalls.

Haven't you seen *The Fifth Element*?

As a film buff, I get that you're talking about *The Fifth Element*? Corben Dallas and multipass?

A little joke while I wait for the missus to manage to upload her photos 😛
