Hi there! We’re heading to Crete (Heraklion) as a couple and I’d like to rent a car. 1) Do we need an international driver’s permit? 2) Are rentals super expensive? Thanks everyone!

Hi No international driver’s permit needed—Crete’s in Europe. Depending on the season, rentals can be really cheap. I rented a Corsa at the airport in May 2024 (not the newest, but it did the job) for 20 €/day. Do some research on book***
