voilà, mon mari a trouvé une offre d'emploi à el quinche avec possibilité de logement sur place ou à quito c'est pourquoi j'ai besoin de savoir quelques petites choses....
nous avons entendu dire qu'à quito le soir il ne valait mieux pas sortir.... 🙁
les loyers et le coût de la vie qu'en est il?
combien de temps est ce que ça peut prendre pour avoir un visa de travail, le système de santé est il couteux?
et surtout est ce que'on s 'acclimate bien à l'altitude je precsie mon cher et tendre est hollandais donc plus habitué à vivre en dessous du niveau de la mer su'à 2500 au dessus😉

Ton mari doit surement travaille dans le secteur des roses, non? 😉
si vous devez vivre en el quinche, il faut aimer la tranquilite, l air pur et surtout pas les sorties !!!😮 Non plus serieusement, tu devrais voir du cote de cumbaya, tumbaco et pourquoi pas puembo ca sera plus facil pour aller au boulot pour ton mari. Tout ses coins sont dans la vallee en bas de Quito, il y fait plus chaud (500 m plus bas que Quito, ca change bcp) il y a tout ce qu il faut resto, cine centres comerciaux, hopital , ou la plupart des etrangers vivent (moi aussi 😉). L altitude c est une question de 4 a 5 jours il faut eviter les efforts violents et ensuite tous les globules sont en place !!!
En ce qui concerne Quito le soir il ne faut exagerer, tu peux sortir sans probleme mais faire gaffe comme dans toute grande metropole (j ai eu plus peur dans certains quartiers parisiens tard dans la nuit !!) et si ton mari est hollandais et fait son petit 2 metres comme souvent pour nos amis battaves il n y aura pas de probleme😏. Sinon dans la vallee tu as restos, cafes, bar avec music live, etc...
Pour les loyers ca depend vraiment de ce que tu cherches et ton budget, pour avoir une idee je vais te donner un site ou tu trouveras surement ton bonheur:

La sante c est chere voir tres chere mais bon normalement il devrait etre affilie a l iess (la secu locale) qui maintenant propose une bonne couverture mais dans l hopital tres moderne qui est dans la vallee. je te conseille quand meme de prendre "un seguro privado" environ 150 USD/mois pour toute la famille. Un hopital moderne en Equateur, si , veridique !! www.hospitaldelosvalles.com en plus le chef est super sympa, francais, beau, intelligent, modeste...ok ok ok c est moi!!! desole...😉
Pour le visa avec un boulot ca devrait pas poser de probleme, c est long, c est l administration comme dans tous les pays du monde...Un avocat peut vraiment aider, surtout c est lui qui fera les longues files d attente...
Le cout de la vie est bas surtout en comparaison avec la france, ici il est facile d avoir une qualite de vie tres bonne sans gagner des millions et le statut d etranger t ouvre bcp de portes.

Je suis bien contente de savoir que d'autres francophones veulent venir s'installer en Equateur ! Je suis allée prospecter au mois de février, avec l'intention de venir m'installer là-bas, à plus ou moins brève échéance et j'y ai rencontré beaucoup de gens sympas, mais pratiquement pas de francophones.
Au début, je voulais aller m'installer à Cotacachi, petite ville agréable, à 2h de Quito, mais ce sont surtout des Américains qui sont installés là-bas. C'était dur, dur de jongler de l'anglais à l'espagnol toute la journée ... mais en même temps super bon pour nos neurones :-)
J'ai entendu parler de Tumbaco, mais n'ai pas eu le temps d'aller voir lors du dernier voyage.
J'ai fait un voyage en solo, pour une bonne partie du voyage, et je peux vous dire que je ne me sentais pas en danger du tout. C'est sûr qu'à Quito, il faut redoubler de prudence, mais en fait on peut aller partout sans se sentir menacé (e). Comme on te l'a dit sur le forum, je peux te confirmer qu'à Paris, passé 22h, je ne me sens pas vraiment en sécurité.
En ce qui concerne l'espagnol, sache que cela revient vite aussi quand tu l'entends, à longueur de journée autour de toi ... et il faut juste oser se lancer aussi. Les gens apprécient que tu fasses l'effort de parler dans leur langue. D'ailleurs, je viens de lire sur Internet les informations d'une école de langue à Tumbaco et m'inscrirais peut-être pour cet hiver, car j'ai bien l'intention de retourner en Equateur. Comme je disais à Hélène, dans le message précédent, je suis contente de voir qu'il y a des francophones en Equateur ... et encore mieux, qui vivent à Tumbaco, car c'est une des villes que je voudrais visiter cet hiver, dans le but de m'y installer.
J'ai entendu dire qu'il y a pas mal de thérapeutes en santé alternative qui habitent à Tumbaco ; qu'en est-il ? Je suis moi-même thérapeute et me demandais quelles sont les possibilités d'exercer là-bas.
J'ai une formation en médecine traditionnelle chinoise et pratique la digitopuncture (acupuncture sans aiguille), et me demande si j'aurais le droit d'exercer là-bas, et s'il y aurait une clientèle potentielle.
Est-ce-qu'on peut trouver facilement des fruits et légumes bio et des magasins de produits naturels à Tumbaco ?
J'ai prospecté dans le secteur immobilier (tant à la location qu'à l'achat) à Cotacachi, et les prix sont vraiment intéressants. Peut-on se loger pour pas trop cher aussi à Tumbaco ? D'ailleurs, je vais jeter un coup d'oeil sur le lien donné pour l'immobilier.
Est-ce-qu'il y a des éco-villages dans la région ? Il y en a plusieurs à Vilcabamba, mais de nouveau, il n'y a que des anglophones.

desole je n ai pu te repondre plus tot. En ce qui concerne Tumbaco c est a la base un village devenu une ville depuis peu de temps du fait de l extension de Cumbaya, la ville voisine. Il y a bcp d etrangers et les prix restent relativement abordables ce qui n est plus le cas de Cumbaya. Je connais vilcabamba et je peux te dire que la comparaison est difficile car cette derniere a bcp de charme et reste peu frequentee quand Tumbaco est devenu une ville dortoire de Quito. Pour ce qui est des therapies alternatives, il est possible de trouver des gens qui la pratiquent sur Tumbaco mais cela se fait surtout de bouche a oreille. Il y a pas des francophones ici (peu en comparaison a d autres pays d amerique du sud) d ailleurs j ai un tres bon ami originaire du Quebec mais il y a surtout des suisses, des allemands, gringos et francais quand meme.
Tu peux trouver des produits bios a Tumbaco d ailleurs une famille francaise en produit, des produits naturels, etc...sans probleme. La particularite de cette ville est la presence d etrangers et gens fortunes de Quito vivant avec des gens au revenu tres bas. C est pourquoi il y a bcp de residences fermees de grand luxe ou s entassent les fortunés en d autres termes des ghettos de riches...Mais bon pour leur defense il est vrai qu il y a eu quelques cas de sequestrations alors...
Pour l immobilier tu peux voir sur olx ecuador, mundoanuncio, vive1, etc...

Je suis bien contente de savoir qu'il y a quand même une petite communauté de francophones à Tumbaco ; cela peut aider pour l'intégration au début, le temps de se débrouiller mieux en espagnol. Parlais-tu déjà bien l'espagnol lorsque tu es arrivé en Equateur ? Combien de temps cela t'a pris sinon, pour bien le parler ? En faisant des recherches sur Internet, j'ai vu qu'il y a une école de langue à Tumbaco "Lector Academia" ; la connais-tu ?
Super qu'on puisse trouver facilement des produits naturels et bio ... en plus, si c'est un magasin tenu par des français, je n'aurais pas de mal au début, pour me faire comprendre :-)
J'irais sans doute faire un tour à Tumbaco cet hiver, pour ressentir l'énergie de l'endroit, et voir si je pourrais y élire résidence dans un futur proche. Avant de venir au Québec, j'ai habité en Martinique pendant un certain nombre d'années, et j'avoue que j'ai du mal avec l'hiver québecois ... même si le pays est superbe et les gens très agréables.
Connais-tu un hôtel sympa à Tumbaco ?

J'ai suivi vos discussions précédentes qui sont très instructives. J'habite actuellement au Québec et je prévois acheter un terrain dans un futur complexe immobilier à 60 km au sud de Manta afin d'y passer quelques mois par année. Il s'appelle le Mirador San José. J'aimerais savois si tu commais ce projet et si oui, savoir ce que tu en penses. Ce sont des investisseurs Canadiens et Équatoriens qui finance le tout. Ça me semble bren. Est-ce que Manta est une belle ville et est-ce que le coût de la vie est aussi cher que Quito? Est-ce que c'est vrai que l'aéroport de Manta doit devenir un aéroport international autour de 2014?
Oui je connais ce projet qui parait interessant car ce coin de la cote est vraiment sympa et les prix sont interessants meme si tu peux trouver beaucoup moins cher sur place. Mais bon la tout est sur place, c est securise donc le prix est justifie. Pour ce qui est de Manta, c est pas une ville a propement dite super belle mais il y a de tres jolies plages, il y a aussi tout ce que tu ne peux pas avoir dans ton "condominio" c est a dire hopital, supermarche, cinema, etc...Par contre c est une ville agrable grace a son climat, ces jolies filles aussi 😉 et son activite touristique le w-end., les feries et les vacances scolaires. Pourquoi pas investir dans un appart les pieds dans l eau directement a Manta?!! C est aussi une bonne option. Tu peux voir les sites comme mundoanuncio, olx, vive1, adoos en cherchant sur google ecuador. Le meilleur endroit de Manta la plage de murcielago.
Je te conseille quand meme de venir passer quelques jours pour voir l ambience sur la cote encore tres preservee avec de grandes plages desertes, les baleines (juillet a Aout), la possibilite aussi de faire de belles plongees pour les amateurs et manger d excellents poissons et crustaces bien frais toute l annee a un prix imbattable 😎!!
L aeroport de Manta sera un jour international c est sur avec le projet de la route qui va aller jusqu au bresil pour faire passer les containers par route au lieu de la mer avec le canal de Panama, mais ici plus qu ailleurs tout est question de patience...😛
Mais il faut dire qu actuellement il y est bien desservit par Quito et Guayaquil et le temps de vol reel est de 25 mn, alors!!!
Si tu veux d autres details n hesites pas, il y a pas mal a faire sur la cote a tous les niveaux suivant tes passions et occupations

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
