Dumaguete-Bohol-Siquijor: which island to choose?
Hi,
We're heading out at the end of the year to join family in Cebu. We're planning to spend a week in the area but are struggling to choose between these 3 islands... Ideally, we'd like to have 2 bases to explore two of them. Have any of you visited all three, and which would you recommend? We're into snorkeling, beautiful excursions, and would also love to connect with locals. And ideally, do all that without too much logistical hassle 😅
Thanks for your experiences/tips!
First diving/discovery trip to the Philippines - Spring 2027
Hi everyone,
We’re planning a one-month trip to the Philippines for two of us, spanning April/May 2027, and we’d love your valuable advice to tell us if our itinerary is realistic or not :)
Just so you know, we’re divers and want to take the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at the start of our trip (which will take up 2 full days) so we can fully enjoy the different dive sites afterward. We also want to limit internal flights as much as possible. Here’s our itinerary:
Arrive directly in Cebu
Take the ferry to Bohol, head to Panglao Island
Diving in Panglao (& PADI training) + visit Bohol Island for 4/5 days
We’re wondering about this part of the trip because Panglao Island seems very touristy—what do you think? Would the Camotes Islands, for example, be more interesting?
Take the ferry to Siquijor, stay there for 3/4 days (combined with a visit to Apo Island)
From Siquijor, return to Cebu to head to Malapascua, stay there for 2/3 days
Again, return to Cebu to take a flight to El Nido
→ So about 12 days in the Visayas
Do the El Nido→Coron 3-day/2-night cruise
Stay 2/3 days in Coron (combined with Apo Reef)
Head to Luzon Island from Coron (by plane or ferry)
Visit the Banaue Rice Terraces (if possible) for 3/4 days
Return to France from Manila
Thanks for your help :)
EasyJet: What's the difference between a flight ticket and a boarding pass?
Hi, it's my first time taking a plane and I chose EasyJet for a Geneva -> Barcelona flight.
I booked my ticket.
I received my booking reference by email, but I don’t see the actual ticket (barcode or QR code?).
Then I checked in to get the boarding pass with the flight details, QR code, etc. But does this boarding pass act as the ticket?
Because I’ve seen several times online that the flight ticket and the boarding pass aren’t the same thing.
Thanks in advance!

5-day visit to Palawan: your thoughts on this itinerary
Hi there,
We’ve never visited Palawan before. This time, we’d like to spend a few days there.
We’ll be there from the evening of October 30th until the early morning of November 5th (our return flight is at 7:20 AM). We’re arriving in Puerto Princesa and leaving from there as well.
While ChatGPT gave us an itinerary suggestion, I’d still love to hear other opinions—don’t want to rely on it blindly.
Here’s ChatGPT’s proposal:
Saturday, October 31: Pearl farm + local waterfalls • 9:00 AM: Private car to Brook’s Point pearl farm (1.5–2 hour visit). • 1:00 PM: Local lunch + drive to Nagtabon Falls (1-hour jungle hike). • Overnight in Puerto Princesa. Sunday, November 1: Tabon Caves (Quezon) • 8:00 AM: Private car from PPS to Quezon (3 hours). • 11:00 AM–3:00 PM: Visit Tabon Caves (2–3 hour hike, unique archaeological site). • Return to PPS late afternoon or stay overnight in Quezon if you prefer. Monday, November 2: Puerto Princesa → Port Barton • 8:00 AM: Private car from PPS to Port Barton (3–4 hours). • Afternoon: Stroll around the village, small market, acclimatization. • Overnight in Port Barton. Tuesday, November 3: Private boat from Port Barton • 8:30 AM: Private boat for island hopping (snorkeling at Twin Reef / Fantastic Reef + peaceful Maxima Island). • Return by 4:00 PM. Wednesday, November 4: Hike in Port Barton + return to PPS • Morning: Hike to Pamuayan Falls or local jungle (1–2 hours). • 1:00 PM: Private car from Port Barton to PPS. • Overnight near the airport in PPS. Thursday, November 5: Flight from PPS to Dumaguete • Early morning flight from PPS to Dumaguete (direct or via Cebu, with plenty of buffer time).
What do you think? Where can we find trustworthy private drivers without getting ripped off? Any recommendations for typical hotels or guesthouses? Our flights are already booked—arriving in PPS at 6:30 PM and departing at 7:20 AM.
Thanks for your advice!

Luggage security, water, and mosquitoes in the Philippines – questions
We’re planning a trip to the Philippines from April 22 to May 8, 2026. Flight from Geneva with a layover in Turkey and Manila. Our itinerary: Angeles – Busuanga – Palawan…
The Philippines are a dream destination, but is it possible to travel there safely? I’ve heard that checked luggage often gets lost, tap water isn’t safe to drink, and mosquitoes are everywhere.
For water, what’s the best solution to carry in a backpack? Is a filtering water bottle 100% reliable?
For mosquitoes, should we treat our clothes with repellent? Are you vaccinated against hepatitis A, malaria, or dengue? Or is there an oral treatment to take?
Thanks for your feedback!

What budget should we plan for the Philippines and which payment method to use?
Hi there,
We’re heading to Cebu, Bohol, Negros, and Siquijor soon. Our guide is handling hotel and ferry reservations, and we’ll pay day by day. Is it easy to pay for accommodations by card, or is it better to have cash? Also, any idea about the cost of living? Is 1000 € per person for 3 weeks enough for accommodation, food, and ferries? That’s the estimate he gave us. Thanks in advance! 😊
Brussels Airlines connection with a 5th-grade class
Hi,
I’m traveling with a 5th-grade class next Wednesday.
We’re flying to Brussels with Brussels Airlines.
Then, 1 hour and 15 minutes after landing, we take off again with the same airline to Prague. (We’ll all have carry-on luggage.)
We have two different flight numbers since it’s two flights, but...
in 1 hour and 15 minutes, will we have to go through security again, or since it’s the same airline, will we just switch planes? Or maybe it’s even possible it’s the same aircraft?
Thanks for your answers.

Transport at Manila Airport from T2 to T3
Hi,
I have very little time between Manila T2 and T3. Could you share a taxi number or tell me how to make sure I don’t miss my flight?
Thanks for your help! :)
El Nido, questions about our overall itinerary with a child
Hi! We’ll be in El Nido at the end of February. We’d love to explore the magical islands around it—any tips or guided tours you’d recommend? There are three of us, including a 10-year-old girl, and this will be our last stop before heading home!

Which islands should we prioritize in the Philippines?
We’re planning a month there, and there are definitely some beautiful—*very* beautiful—islands, but which ones to choose? Can you point me to the must-sees, the ones that are easiest to reach by boat, bus, or flight if it saves a ton of time and isn’t too expensive? Also, which island should we start our loop on, given we’re coming from Vietnam and our return flight to Paris is already booked out of Manila?
Thanks in advance for all your tips. Philippe

Vol Onur Air Francfort - Marsa Alam (Égypte): compagnie muette!

Bonjour a tous

Merci d'avance
