Que faut-il comme amménagement pour le passage aux mines ? La taxe utilitaire est elle obligatoire ? L'autorisation du constructeur pour l'amménagement est payante. Combien coûte-t-elle ? J'ai entendu dire que l'on pouvait s'assurer dans un autre pays européen comme l'Allemagne car c'est beaucoup - cher. Quelqu'un peut me renseigner ?

je suis en train de calculer, approximativement, le budget nécessaire pour partir à deux, en Asie du sud-ouest, en camion. Mais la case péage reste bien vide!!!!

je compte suivre l'itinéraire suivant : France-Italie, Italie-Turquie (en ferry), puis Iran, Pakistan, Inde, Bangladesh, Birmanie, Thaïlande, ... et chemin inverse.

Salut à tous, je part le 1er janvier 2005 avec un vieux break VW Passat diesel pour arriver au Kyrgysistan vers le mois de mai.

Ma route passe par Brindizi (Italie) - Athène - Chios (Grèce) Fin janvier - Erzurum (Turquie), Khvoy, Tabriz (Iran) fin février, début mars. J'aimerais connaître les conditions météo dans ces coins à ces dates. + Les montagnes autour de Théhéran. Aussi si le Ferry Athène - Chios - Cesme continue en hiver.

Off course j'embarque avec moi 2 pneus neiges + chaines, mais je me demande, si les routes sont déblayée en neige (pour les camions de l'armée en Turquie, Mont Ararat) ou si je reste coincé car trop de neige et louper mon entrée en Iran, car j'ai un visa d'un mois à partir du 1er mars et ensuite un visa transit (1er avril) Turkmenistan - Ouzbéquistan (7jours). Donc je ne dois pas chômer en route.

je voudrais aller a urumqi (chine) a la fin de cet ete (fin aout debut sept) pendant 3 semaines.

je serai loger chez des amis labas, mais etant donne que je suis etudiant j'ai un budget serre (2 ans d'economie) je suis actuellement en angleterre et je n'ai que env. 3semaines de vacance (car je bosse pour mes etudes aussi!)

d'apres mes renseignements pour cette periode je dois compter env 578 euros pour un vol A/R londre-pekin avec russian aeroflot ou env 600euros pour paris-pekin avec air france de paris a pekin (vol direct😎)

par contre ensuite je ne suis pas trop sur des tarifs, on m'a dit env 2000F pekin-urumqi aller simple et pour le train je ne sais pas????? mais il faut compte 2 jours.

donc si quelqu'un pouvait m'indique comment touver ses renseignements (site web), tarif train ou avion

Je suis une fan de la Turquie; j'ai découvert ce magnifique pays lors d'un voyage organisé avec Nouvelles Frontières (15j => d'ailleurs, très bonne organisation qui associent randonnées en Capadocce et côte lycienne et visites de très beaux sites, nuits à l'hôtel mais principalement chez l'habitant....); J'y suis retournée en début Novembre en prenant 1 vol sec car je rejoignai un ami turc sur place. De ce fait, nous avons payé l'hôtel à part, vu que ce n'est pas une formule de voyagistes et les frais grimpent vite entre les nuits, les repas aux restos (même si ce sont des restos locaux...). Je vais peut-être repartir en Turquie courant 1er semestre mais je voulais savoir si certains d'entre vous savaient si il existait en Turquie des locations d'appartement ou studio à la semaine ou pour 10 jours et si oui, où se renseigner et quels sont en moyenne les prix? (site internet, magazine)? Est-ce que certains l'ont déjà fait? Sinon, je pensais prendre une formule tout compris par un voyagiste en leur précisant que quelqu'un se joindra à moi à l'hôtel une fois sur place mais je ne sais pas du toit si cela est possible (prendre 1 place AR pour l'avion et prendre 1 chambre pour 2 personnes sur place?). Si certaines personnes ont des informations ou conseils à me donner, n'hésiter pas.

Je vais faire un voyage en Asie parcorant les anciens chemins. Pour le moment il s'agit d'un projet car j'ai besoin d'une grande quantité de donnés; c'est un voyage entre le plaisir et les études d'anthropologie, architecture et langues.

J'espère de traverser la Turquie, La Syrie, l'Iran, l'Irak, l'Afghanistan, l'Uzbekistan, le Tayikistan, peut être l'Inde et le Paquistan, et la Chine.

C'est aussi probable que je le ferai dans des plusiers étapes. J'amerai bien que quelqu'un me raconte ses experiences, au sujet que se soit; peut-être la securité à des certaines pays (ça m'interesse le plus), la monnaie, la langue, les moeurs, la locomotion...por ne trouver pas des surprises desagreables.

Racontez moi au sujet des langue. Je parle courement l'espagnol et le portugais, le français comme vous voyez, un peu l'anglais et j'étude le chinois. Je commence d'avoir quelques connaissances fondamentales de farsi (perse), arabe, et turque aux quels je pense aurai besoin.

Moi, si quelqu'un veux, je posse à votre disposition mes connaissances générales ou particuliers de la region sur mon métier, l'urbanisme et l'architecture, celles que je veux contraster et approfondir sur place.

Je n'ai acune date por partir. Peut être d'ici en deux ans.

Je souhaite partir une semaine en janvier (du 12 au 18 janvier 2004) avec ma fille de 19 ans et vu que la date approche, j'ai besoin d'aide pour m'orienter. Je n'ai pas fait beaucoup de voyages et je compte m'y mettre dès l'année prochaine. Pour commencer, je préfère ne partir qu'une semaine, pour pas trop cher, mais surtout en voyage "encadré". Mon objectif pour l'instant est détente-repos dans un endroit agréable et plutôt confortable. Je compte mettre le cap sur la découverte (des gens, des modes de vie, des cultures et coutumes...) un peu plus tard. J'ai pensé à la Tunisie, la Turquie n'ayant pas un très gros budget. Mais ces destinations ne sont-elles pas à risques ? Alors si vous pouvez m'apporter des indications de toutes sortes et des conseils ou même des propositions pour d'autres destinations, pourquoi pas. L'idée de passer cette semaine de janvier chez l'habitant, dans n'importe quel pays, même dans le Nord, me plairai énormément également. Merci beaucoup pour votre aide

Allez y, foncez, prenez vos rouleaux de pelicules photos, des bonnes chaussures, les gens sont adorables, et pour le moment, ya pas un chat alors qu'il n'y a aucun problèmes dans ce coin là. I’m planning a family trip in a year. Our goal: traveling to China (and maybe Hong Kong) by train. I’m all set with the route up to eastern Turkey. However, I’m just starting my research for the rest of the journey—namely the Caucasus (no trains as far as I know, so buses and/or ferries), then Central Asia and China. So, I’d love to hear any info or tips (general and forward-looking at this stage) about the train route through Central Asia and China to reach the east coast. I’m particularly interested in details on: - How far in advance to book / any potential difficulties with reservations - Whether there are PASS systems (or equivalent) between countries and/or if some tickets allow stopovers, meaning you can hop on and off as you please - Day trains vs. night trains (the latter option lets you explore cities between two legs of the journey) - A rough idea of ticket costs ...

I’m interested in the 10-day/8-night "Discover Nepal" tour offered by Capitales Tours, among others. For Day 4, it lists Kathmandu-Mugling-Pokhara as 200 km and 8/9 hours of travel. Is this duration due to the road conditions? I assume the stop in Mugling for lunch is included in the travel time.

For Pokhara-Chitwan, only the distance is mentioned: 160 km. Should I expect a long bus ride there as well?

The proposed flights would be with AIR-INDIA via DELHI. We had issues with AIR-INDIA before—they denied us boarding for Paris even though we arrived at the airport more than 3 hours early. There was no specific counter for PARIS; the counters were for all destinations, and we waited in line for over 2.5 hours only to be told "too late"... Summer 2026 hasn’t even arrived yet, and I’m already thinking about summer 2027! We’re a family with two kids, who will be 9.5 and 4.5 years old next summer (turning 5 at the end of October 2027, actually). We’d love to spend 19 nights in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan—a part of the world that’s completely new to us. We enjoy traveling, do it often, and the kids are used to it (though we still need a bit of organization and comfort!). Here’s the rough outline of our itinerary: Day 1 - Arrival in Tashkent (ideally in the late afternoon). Head to the train station (by taxi?) to take the overnight sleeper train to Urgench (1 night). Day 2 - Khiva (2 nights): Taxi transfer from the station to the city. Visit Itchan Kala, the walls, and sunset. Day 4 - Head to Bukhara (3 nights) by train (about 6 hours). Visit the historic center, domes, and workshops. Day 7 - On to Samarkand (2 nights), but this time with a private driver. Visit Registan, the necropolis, and local crafts. Day 9 - Head to Osh (1 night) in Kyrgyzstan with the private driver, who’ll drop us at the border. Long transition day (including border crossing). If it’s not too late, visit Osh’s market (otherwise, the next morning). Day 10 - Pick up our rental car (4x4 without a driver this time) and drive to Toktogul (2 nights) and the Suusamyr Valley. Day 12 - Head to the Kochkor region (350 km - 4 nights): Tash Rabat, Song-Kul Lake (yurt stay), and Aigliers. Day 16 - Depart for Karakol/Issyk-Kul (250 km - 4 nights): Jeti-Oguz, Altyn Arashan, beaches, and hot springs. Day 20: Fly home. TOTAL = 19 nights What do you think? Budget-wise:

I briefly set out to tally things up, having asked myself the same question, and here are some figures and my thoughts on the travel journals that have seen the greatest success over more than 22 years—the first one was posted on 04/17/2003.

Before sharing the TOP 25, I notice that the United States of America seems to have sparked the most interest among readers: 11 out of the 25 most read. The American dream is still very much alive. With passionate travelers, too, since there are often many participants (quite chatty ones), which significantly boosts the number of views. Since VF was hosted in Canada, maybe there’s also a fair number of Canadian readers adding to that?

Asia comes in second with 8 journals, confirming the appeal of these destinations. We also see 4 Europe-related journals in this best-of.

The numbers are undeniable, but they should be put into perspective. For example: - A journal published a long time ago has a better chance of being widely read than a more recent one. - A journal published all at once will get fewer visitors than one published over 30 days, recounting a month-long trip. - Some journals have renewed readability because their author or readers add information or comments.

You could also say that a journal with 5,000 views about Ireland or Iceland, for instance, doesn’t fall short compared to those about a more popular destination like the U.S., which might have tens of thousands of views.

Personally, I regret the absence from the ranking of journals I admired—both very well-written and featuring stunning photos. On the other hand, the presence of some journals in the most-read list is quite puzzling to me.

Three distinct periods stand out: - The 2000s. It took some time for the site to become known and for word-of-mouth to spread. Back then, some people, especially older travelers (who are more likely to both travel and publish journals on VF), didn’t even have internet yet. Plus, many journals from that era had few or no photos, which doesn’t attract some readers. - The early 2010s. There was probably a peak, an optimal moment, with the site being more well-known and visible, and a generation of travelers ready to share and help. With few exceptions, all the most-read journals date from 2006 to 2016. - From the late 2010s onward, there may have been a turning point. Fewer people enjoying (or knowing how to) read, more people moving to various social media platforms for their immediacy and ease?

I’m not unhappy to be in 26th place with my 2013 journal about a part of southern Thailand. I owe it largely to the photos of the adorable langur monkeys and the messages from all those who went to see them thanks to me. Those were good times that will be hard to relive.

I’ve been dreaming about the Silk Road for a long time and hope to visit Uzbekistan next year with my husband and son (11 years old). Late April to early May.

I’m planning a very classic itinerary: Tashkent - Samarkand - Bukhara - Khiva - Tashkent.

I checked the Uzbekistan Railways website, but it seems you can only book tickets three months in advance?

Otherwise, I’ve seen some people in other discussions suggest booking through Uzrailway. Are these the apps below? Are they reliable?

I really don’t want to go through a travel agency—I’d prefer to organize everything myself—and it seems the only hurdle is booking the trains. I was thinking of taking the train from Tashkent to Samarkand, then to Bukhara, and finally to Khiva, before flying back from Urgench to Tashkent with Uzbekistan Airways (is that a bad idea?🤪). What do you think?

Since we’re traveling with a child, I’d rather book and organize everything in advance to avoid any potential hassles. I tend to plan my trips much more now than I used to😏.

Would you have any great accommodation recommendations (not luxury, but not a youth hostel either)? We prefer places with charm, friendly owners, and a nice setting...
