j'arrive a l'aéroport de Valladolid le 17 janvier, et ai un vol a prendre pr le Chili 7 heures plus tard a Madrid. J'aurais voulu savoir: quel est le moyen le plus simple de se rendre a Madrid (train? bus?) combien de temps ca met, le prix, et surtout si je trouverai tres probablement une place dans ce bus ou train en arrivant le 17, ou s'il est mieux de reserver a l'avance.

Bonjour à tous je suis Egyptienne mais du Caire et je n'ai jamais visiter le Sud de l'Egypte mais jen rêve depuis tjs. Je par en décembre avec une copine 2 semaine ou je compt faire un tour soit louxor soit aswan (voir mem les 2 si sa en vaut vraiment la peine) ensuite Hurgada et ensuite dans ma famille au Caire. Je voullais aussi passer par siwa mem si je sais ke c est de l'autre côté...mais on ma di ke cétai vraiment beau...j'aimerai avoir des petit conseil sur l'organisation de mon voyage en sachant ke j'atéris au sud et ke je repar du Caire. kel est l'ordre le plus logique?louxor aswan hurgada siwa et caire?? Jen sai rien!! Je vous demande donc de l'aide moi ki suis égyptienne mais ki sera tourist dans des endroits ke je ne connais pas!! Aussi si vous avez des petits hotel pas cher au Sud mais aussi à Hurgada. Car en tant ke étudiante mon budget est restraint...

(ma mère n'est pas routarde donc les plans sac à dos ...pas top..)

je m'inquiète de voir les annonces d'agences qui ne nous laissent au fil de l'eau que dans le sud, donc qui ne nous permet pas le caire et ses alentours...en plus de constater que toutes excursions sont hors de prix et en sus du séjour.

est ce quelqu'un connait une bonne agence ? un bon site? une bonne technique?

J'aimerais avoir des conseils et trucs pour récupérer des photos sur une carte mémoire endommagée.

Un conseiller de "Studio Gosselin" (spécialiste en photographie) m'a conseillé d'aller chercher des logiciels de récupération sur internet et pense que je pourrais être capable d'en récupérer une partie.

Est-ce que ces logiciels sont facile d'utilisation ou avez-vous d'autres conseils pour moi.

Nous sommes actuellement en Casamance, au Sénégal, en route vers le Mali. Comme nous aimerions allé dans le pays Bassari, nous aimerions savoir si c'est possible de partir de là pour se rendre facilement au Mali sans passer par Tambacounda. Nous aimerions aussi savoir si le pays Bassari vaut le détour puisque nous n'irions dans cette région que pour cela, et non pour le parc.

Moi et ma copine partons bientôt 3 semaines au costa rica.Après des heures de plaisir j'ai finallement trouvé un endroit pour loger sur le bord du pacifique, près de ``Jaco`` le 29-30-31 Déc (Villa caletas) Beaucoup plus chèr de ce que je voulais payer mais cela parait très sympa.Disons que je vais me contenter des cabinas(Qui s'ont la plupart très bien) pour le reste du périple...-:) Premièrement j'aimerais savoir si quelqu'un à déja loger ou entendu parler de cette endroit.

j'offre à mon conjoint un sejour de 3 nuits à londres entre noel et nouvel an et la ville me semble tellement vaste qe meme qd ils marquent "centre ville " à cote d'un hotel, je ne suis pas sure que ce soit bien placé....

pour l'instant, j'ai pris un hotel à hammersmith, au hammersmith international center, 1 shortlands...c'ets un novotel....est-ce que c'est bien placé, est-ce un bon choix...je suis un peu perdue..sinon, j'en avais un autre à Euston....mais je ne sais pas non plus...

que me conseillez vous..

d'autre part, je vais également prendre la visitor traveler card par britcities pour 4 jours à 27 euros par personne...est-ce egalement un bon choix?

et enfin, j'atterris çà Gatwick, quel est le moyen le plus pratique ou le plus économique pour rejoindre le centre de londres, ou du moins mon hotel??

Quelqu'un a-t-il essayé ? Est-ce bien Corsair ?

on est 3 copains à partir début novembre pour le costa rica, pour une durée de 6 mois environ.on essaie depuis des mois de trouver un parc national, ou réserve qui pourrait nous prendre comme bénévole.Le problème est que nourriture et logement sont tjs à la charge des bénévoles...mais nous ne sommes que de pauvres étudiants, sans un sou ou presque...et on ne pourra jamais tenir 6 mois....:(

si qq un d'entre vous connait un bon plan, un parc ou les bénévoles sont nourris - logés, de préférence sur la côte pacifique...???Merci d'avance

Je m'envole pour le Pérou dans une semaine. Je compte y rester pendant 2 semaines. Tous les sites que j'ai consulté disent qu'il faut un passeport en cours de validité. Mon passeport étant valable encore 4 mois après mon retour je pensais être en règle. Je viens d'apprendre avec stupeur par le ministère des affaires étrangères que j'ai besoin d'un passeport valable encore 6 mois après mon retour. Pensez-vous que cela vaut le coup de prendre l'avion quand même (on ne me remboursera de toute façon pas les billets) ou que je vais d'office me faire refouler à la frontière??? Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

Je voudrais partir deux semaines au Costa Rica début juillet, est-ce que le temps n'est pas trop mauvais. Et avec des enfants de 2 et 4 ans, c'est bien comme Pays ?

J’envisage de partir une petite semaine à la Toussaint à Gênes (Italie) pour visiter la ville. Je partirai en train au départ de Marseille via Nice.

Je souhaiterai recevoir des conseils pour que cette excursion de quelques jours me coûte le moins cher possible, en particulier sur le logement (j’envisage le camping, qu’en pensez-vous ?) ou existe t-il un autre moyen d’hébergement assez bon marché et pas trop éloigné du centre-ville.

Je voudrais aussi des infos sur ce qu’il ne faut absolument visiter dans cette cité et tous les bons plans et les bons conseils sont les bienvenus.

Hello everyone, Here’s the follow-up to our recent experience (5/11). Upon arrival at Manila T3, don’t look for the immigration office before passport control (this was info we’d gathered but turned out to be outdated). Go through passport control with your eTravel, grab your luggage with a trolley because the obstacle course begins. Head toward the exit hall, turn right, exchange a minimal amount at one of the two counters, continue toward Burger King, turn right, take the elevator at the end of the corridor to the 3rd floor (departure area), then turn right as you exit the elevator, head to the right, go around the big pillar on the left, and you’ll reach the immigration office that will process your extension quickly for the modest sum of 4070 pesos (the price increased due to a new tax as of June). This little route will save you from asking a thousand questions and getting just as many different answers. Next, logically, buy a local SIM card. There are two small kiosks side by side on the ground floor, Smart and Globe. Prices here are triple what you’ll find in the city, but honestly, if I had to do it again, I’d get both SIMs at the airport. For one simple reason: it’s a hassle in the city—you have to find the shop in a mall, go there, wait in line, explain what you want, and it takes forever. We got a Globe SIM at the airport and a Smart SIM in Baguio, and we really struggled. The cheapest rate offered by Globe at the airport is 1500 PHP for 1 month, with calls and 80GB of internet. It’s oversized, but be careful—they’ll try to sell you an even more expensive SIM upfront (2500 PHP). Smart offers roughly the same terms. It’s pricier, but it’s a turnkey solution—the hostess handles registration with the authorities (passport, etc.) and configures your phone. Finally, almost at the far right, there’s a Grab kiosk (taxis, the Asian Uber, which I highly recommend—it’s so convenient!). They’ll arrange a safe taxi for you no matter your destination in Manila. Watch your belongings during all these tasks that keep you occupied—a tourist had their bag stolen while we were there! All this took us two hours from the moment we got off the plane, but you’ll likely save time with these tips. There you go—you’re ready to face Manila’s traffic jams on your way to your hotel. This is just a summary of our own experience; I hope it helps. Have a great stay! 😊

This summer, our family (dad, mom, a 17-year-old teen, and an 11-year-old pre-teen) wants to explore Bulgaria and include 4 days in Istanbul during our trip. I’ve got a rough plan, but I’m not sure if it’s doable—here’s what I’m thinking:

Arrival on August 12th in Sofia at 2:00 PM → pick up rental car, visit Sofia. 13th: Sofia → Rila → Sofia 14th: Sofia to Plovdiv, overnight in Plovdiv 15th: Plovdiv to Nessebar (or Sozopol—which is better?) 16th/17th/18th: Exploring the Black Sea coast, based in Sozopol/Nessebar 19th: Bus from Burgas to Istanbul (7-hour trip) 20th-21st-22nd-23rd: Istanbul 24th: Return bus from Istanbul to Burgas. Overnight in Burgas 25th: Burgas → Veliko Tarnovo (Bojentsi) 26th: Veliko Tarnovo to Sofia via Koprivshtitsa 27th: Early flight home

→ In this itinerary, I’ve planned 4 full days in Istanbul. I could reduce it to 3 (since we’ll also spend the evening of the 19th there) and add an extra day to the return trip from Burgas to Sofia, around Veliko Tarnovo/Koprivshtitsa.

My questions: -My 17-year-old son and I are passionate about music, especially klezmer, Romani, and jazz. Any good spots in Sofia, Istanbul, or elsewhere? -Things to do with an 11-year-old kid? -Experiences with the Burgas-Istanbul bus?

I’m an amateur photographer, so I’d love to take some great landscape shots (sea or mountains) as well as photos of picturesque little villages... I’m open to all kinds of tips, and thanks in advance for reading!

This trip took place in May 2023, a period of calm that later proved precarious. Day of May 17 Departure from Marseille on El Al (tickets booked by ourselves, while the stay itself was organized by Voyageurs du Monde). Before check-in, six or seven El Al staff members conduct a security check—quite understandable, but they do it in total chaos. They send people to the left, then block them, redirect them to the right, for no apparent reason. Most of the staff don’t speak French, which complicates things. They work at an incomprehensible slow pace, stopping the interview to do something else, then coming back and starting over... The flight goes smoothly, except for the meal service, which, for a four-hour flight that El Al delayed to lunchtime, is more than basic: a quarter-liter of water and a corned beef sandwich that’s absolutely disgusting and inedible. To get a coffee, you have to queue at the back of the plane. You end up missing Ryanair🙂 Arrival at Ben Gurion goes better than expected—the passport control is fairly quick, as is baggage delivery. Transfer to the Lily and Bloom hotel, Lilienblaum Street (easy to remember 🙂) As advised by Voyageurs du Monde, we book a table for the evening at the nearest restaurant, North Abraxas. Good atmosphere and decent food. We get a sense of the price level in Israeli restaurants. Around us, diners share dishes placed in the middle of the table. Much more convivial than our individual plates!! Day of May 18

The next morning, we go down for breakfast at 7:30 AM—a late hour, but the setup is slow, with the two servers taking their time. We ask the bartender for a long coffee and a black tea... It must be a complicated order because it takes him over 10 minutes to make it. He serves us with the grace of a dancer. A good breakfast if you’re not in a hurry, followed by a little stroll in the neighborhood, since our meet-up with Patrick Arfi, our guide for the day, isn’t until 10 AM. P. Arfi is a former publishing house director in Paris who has lived in Israel for a long time and has a vast cultural knowledge. After an initial chat, we head toward Jaffa, focusing on the Bauhaus buildings preserved by a clever urban policy that allows high-rise construction while maintaining old architectural ensembles.



This policy keeps the streets looking more human-scale than the usual high-rise districts in modern cities.

With the visit to Jaffa, Patrick introduces us to a fascinating slice of history, despite the temperature nearing 38°C. Jaffa, once an independent city, is now a neighborhood of Tel Aviv—a predominantly Muslim area. We notice a few buildings in poor condition. They belong to Palestinian families who left Tel Aviv. Otherwise, the city has been very well restored, apart from these few buildings.

A government agency rents out the ground floors of these buildings, which helps fund part of the security work. They also try to track down the owners and buy back the abandoned properties, but some refuse to sell. The visit is very touristy—most of the people we meet are tourists like us.

I’m starting this thread after a digression that began in the India section and continued in a travel journal about Kerala.

The original topic was whether India is—or isn’t—a nature destination.

I’ll let you all discuss and share your own definition of a nature destination. 🙂

I really, really want to go back to China, but since the country is evolving at lightning speed, I’m wondering. I went there nearly 20 years ago. It was already undergoing a lot of changes, slowly but surely, but I still have wonderful memories of the country, which I found so endearing at the time. I visited Beijing, Sichuan, Guangxi, Hainan, and also Tibet by train, then Xinjiang. Now, we’re mainly considering Gansu and Hunan.

It was still possible to get 60-day visas back then, which isn’t the case anymore since they’re now limited to 30 days. But at the same time, the country seems more accessible. Many hotels are open to foreign tourists, sophisticated transport options have developed everywhere, and it’s possible to visit for up to 15 days without a visa... Tourists can easily travel by train or plane, but to reach places "off the beaten path," it seems you need to rent a vehicle with a driver. There used to be plenty of day-trip group tours, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

It’s hard to find info on whether certain routes are feasible for independent travel.

From what I’ve gathered here and there, "high tech" has taken over the entire country, the countryside has given way to imposing buildings, cities are increasingly industrialized and polluted—basically, the country has become dehumanized... In short, are there still beautiful places left—dare I say preserved—to see?

Add to this the bad reputation, not always justified, that China suffers from. It seems like the country is being boycotted by travel agencies, as if it’s not "politically correct" to visit. Maybe I’m exaggerating, but I’ve noticed this with French agencies like Nomade, Allibert, etc., which used to offer a wide range of itineraries everywhere, especially in Yunnan. Now, they’ve limited themselves to the classics: Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, water towns, or Tibet. Yunnan, Gansu, Qinghai, and many other Chinese provinces are no longer on the menu. Maybe it’s due to COVID...

The destination isn’t exactly a hit on forums either...

So, is it still worth going in 2025? I’d love to hear from those who’ve been there recently. Looking forward to exchanging thoughts on this fascinating destination (from my point of view, of course).
