Merci d'avance !
Dear Dr S.,
As a french medical student currently in third year and pursuing a master in medical biology, I am taking this opportunity to contact you to offer a spontaneous application as an intern in your laboratory. Your name was given to me by Dr M., head of a team of researcher working at IRSET, a French research institute in which I spend a few weeks last summer.
My academic credential in medicine and medical biology gives me the competence to be a productive and interesting member of a research team. I am of course familiar with the study of research articles and the common laboratory technics. Thanks to the diversity of summer jobs I worked on during the last few years (labs and hospitals of course but also slaughterhouse and factories) I am used to team work and hardworking. I also learned to be adaptable and sociable, thanks to my experience as a tutor in my university.
As a medicine student I have little free time during the year, that is why the internship I need for my master would need to take place during summer.
I already did a few internships, mainly in
Rennes and
Paris, however I still lack international experience in a foreign team. It would be a formidable opportunity to work in a prestigious university and improve my English at the same time.
You will find in my resume attached further information about my experience and my contact information. Should my spontaneous application draw your attention, I would be glad to answer any question you might have.
I thank you in advance for your consideration of my proposition.
Yours faithfully,
L.B.
