Bonjour,
Meilleures salutations

Hello everyone,
Due to tsunami in
Japan in march, my wife, my daughter and I had to change our plans regarding travels and flights in
Japan between march 20th and april the 16th.
So, we cancelled
Japan flights bookings during this period of time.
We have some flights refunds not yet solved at this time (June the 22th, 2011).
The two tour operators are Opodo and E-Dreams. The airlines companies involved are Air China, United Airlines and All Nippon Airways.
I was informed by the two tour operators that all these airlines companies agree on airplane tickets refund.
The question is now ‘WHEN’ : Do airlines companies and/or tour operators expect travelers to give up their demands if refund procedures are time consuming (for customers) or too long (take too much time) ?
It seems to me Opodo is much more transparent, reliable and consumer-centric than E-Dreams. To speak with data, the refund is much more quicker for Opodo flights bookings than E-Dreams ones. Precisely, Opodo told me they received refund from Air China, while no information was given by E-Dreams (although E-Dreams refund claim was initialized before Opodo refund claim).
My feeling is travelers have to exchange information between themselves and to gather for a better efficiency of their claims. If needed joining a consumers’ association or could be useful.
So, I am interested in getting in touch with everybody dealing with same situations (specially E-Dreams refunds), in
France or elsewhere, even if different regulations in countries of residence must be taken into account to decide actions.
