J'ai entendu dire que American Airlines a trouvé une route plus courte :-)
en théorie il n'y a qu'une seule route la plus courte si on assimile la terre à une sphère.
La route la plus courte c'est celle du "grand cercle" qu'on obtient avec des calculs trigonométriques, entre deux positions en latitude longitude.
Maintenant ça c'est la théorie dans la réalité à haute altitude, il y a ce que l'on appelle des "courants jets" qui permettent de pousser l'aéronef et de faire gagner du temps et du carburant
Le commandant de bord doit chercher la meilleure route possible avec ces courants jets, vents d'altitude
Maintenant ces routes sont mises à jour quotidiennement
