Hello, This isn’t our first trip to the USA, which explains why some "classic" spots are missing from this itinerary. Could you let me know if anything should be changed, and also share your best recommendations for where to stay and how many nights to spend in each place? We’re leaving in early September and will be there for 13 days, no kids. Thanks in advance for your feedback, tips, and great deals! Arrival in L.A. Hi there, I see a few things in your itinerary that bother me.

First, why Flagstaff?

Next, Grand Canyon to Bryce Canyon seems a bit long for one leg.

Same comment for Las Vegas to Sequoia National Park.

Finally, for Santa Barbara, think carefully before going. I found the city pretty uninteresting.

Happy planning

Hi there

That’s a lot of miles—definitely optimize with Google Maps.

Joshua Tree isn’t a major park in my opinion. I’d spend more time in Zion and Bryce.

If you want to sleep inside the parks, book way in advance.

I agree with Usafan: Santa Barbara is just a pass-through. But staying in Solvang is nice.

Happy planning
