Je viens d etre approché par une société française qui fabrique du béton pour le site de Konambio proche de koné.
Je vous sollicite pour avoir quelques renseignements si des personnes ont deja vecu au sein de la base de vie.
Ambiance , repas, chambre, rythme de travail etc etc ...
Je pense egalement partir avec ma compagne qui devrait etre logée par la société soit sur Koné soit sur Nouméa à notre choix.
Visiblement et chose que nous comprenons , le travail au nord est à la préference des Calédoniens de souches, en est il de meme sur Nouméa? Elle est commerciale et traductrice trilingue Anglais -Espagnol et actuellement en France chargée de clientele dans l industrie au controle qualité et sécurité.Pourra-t-elle trouver du travail sur Noumea en sachant qu elle n aura pas de moyen de locomotion?( la ville dispose t elle d un réseau de transport urbain?)
C est pour nous beaucoup de questions , à savoir si il est preferable que je parte en éclaireur pour une durée indeterminée (environ 3 à 6 mois ) pour préparer le terrain ou qu elle vienne directement avec moi et se base sur Nouméa pour chercher du travail sur place.
Etant aveyronnais je cherche également des compatriotes presents sur le cailloux...

bon, koniambo, je ne sais pas mais a GORO au sud de l'ile on etait dans une base vie. A Kone, je crois que c'est pareil, normal, vu le manque de logement surtout pour accueillir 3 ou 4000 personnes.. Les bases vie c'est un bungalow de 12m2, cantine, et discipline de caserne, a cause de l'alcool.... tout cela ça ressemble a une prison, il faut le savoir, surtout s'il n'y a pas de voiture
Pour travailler a Noumea, c'est possible mais attention les salaires ne sont pas tres eleves et la vie tres chere
Sinon, le climat est agreable, c'est sympa pour la mer, le camping....
Mon compagnon travaille sur le site Koniambo et est à la base vie depuis bientot 1 an. L'ambiance n'est pas mauvaise à la base vie (au boulot c'est autre chose), il y a des chambres individuels avec SDB mais ça depend de ton statut. Il y a des chambres à plusieurs et SDB à partager. Les chambres ont la télé avec le satellite, acces internet avec un cable, un frigo. C'est evidemment pas tres grand et l'isolation phonique n'est pas terrible. Les draps sont changés et le menage est fait regulierement. C'est pas le bagne quand meme. La cantine est une cantine... Le rythme de travail est soutenu. Les journées commencent vers 6H30 7H et se terminent vers 18H. Tout depend après du boulot, du statut et de l'employeur. De toute façon il n'y a quasiment aucune activité de loisir à la base vie donc autant bosser.
Pour votre compagne, la préférence locale est aussi bien au nord qu'au sud. Elle aura beaucoup plus de chance de trouver du boulot à Nouméa qu'à Koné. Il n'y a vraiment pas grand chose à Koné, faut vraiment tomber sur "le poste". Sans voiture à Nouméa par contre ça va vraiment pas etre evident. Le reseau des bus ici n'est pas très développé. Habité Nouméa pour elle et Koné pour vous, ça veut dire qu'il y en a 1 de vous qui va faire la route tous les weekends, faut quand meme compter 3H de route. C'est à réflechir, et il vous faudra une voiture meme si sur le site vous n'en aurez pas besoin.
Quand à partir en eclaireur au depart, pourquoi pas, mais une chose est sur, si vous travaillez de suite en arrivant à Koné, c'est pas une fois camper la haut que vous trouverez un job pour elle à Nouméa, ni à Koné d'ailleuirs. Vos journées seront trop remplies! Ca peut vous permettre de voir uniquement si, vous, le job et les conditions de vie vous plaisent. Pas la peine de faire venir votre amie si vous restez 1 mois et que ça ne vous plait pas. Tout depend si vous etes pret à tout lacher tout les 2.

Deja un probléme de regler ma compagne a trouver du travail sur Nouméa, au moins pour six mois se qui est deja pas si mal.
Je m attendais a une réponse comme celle la sur la base de vie, de toute façon je pars lasbas pour travailler et je suis conscient que la durée de travail va etre longue (etant habituer a faire deja des journees de plus de 12heures en france , je serai depayser par l environnement mais pas par le travail...).
Il est vrai qu etre a trois heures de noumea ne va pas faciliter notre installation , mais je ne pense pas etre le seul couple à avoir vecu cela.Mais si on ne tente pas on ne sera jamais....

Nous sommes arrivés ensemble en Caledonie, depuis la métropole, comme vous.
Nous sommes content de notre vie meme si ce n'est pas le paradis. Mais ça on s'en doutait! La vie n'est facile nulle part. On ne regrette pas du tout notre choix d'avoir laissé la France pour venir ici. On a perdu des choses ici, et on en a gagné, on a trouvé notre équilibre. Mais tous ceux qui débarquent n'y trouvent pas forcement leur compte. Faut essayer, il n'y a pas d'autres moyens de savoir si ça vous plaira.
Les 3h de route vous les gérez comme nous et comme d'autres. Mais on a quand meme apprécier au début d'etre ensemble.
En tout cas félicitation à vous 2 d'avoir trouver chacun un job avant d'arriver sur le cailloux, c'est quand meme rare.

Je voyage depuis longtemps et souhaite vraiment venir me poser a Nouméa, j'ai commencer a voyager apres le déces de mon pere et y ai vraiment pris gout.
Je souhaite trouver un emploi stable et vu que je suis actuellement en Australie, J'ai choisi Nouméa. Je suis tres courageux et bosseur.
Dans les sites minier, en tout cas, sur le projet du nord, oui ça embauche toujours. Pas mal d'expat débarquent encore en ce moment. Rapprochez vous de l'agence Atout Majeur à Nouméa, c'est eux à ma connaissance qui s'occupent du recrutement pour le nord.
Mais vous verrez une fois sur place, car il faut y passer, rencontrer quelqu'un.. ceci ne sa fait pas par email, à ma connaissance.
Vous pourrrez voir avec toutes les agences d'interim, c'est surement le moyen le plus facile pour integrer le marché du travail. Ils proposent des CDD et CDI.
Le site de l'agence d'Adecco est plutot bien mis à jour aussi.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
