Mon doudou, mes 2 p tits bouts et moi prévoyons une installation sur le caillou, nous partons en "reconnaissance" en Septembre mais notre coeur balance encore entre une vie citadine à Nouméa ou une vie de "broussards".La question qui nous fait hésiter c 'est LE TRAVAIL!!! Mon mari est dans les Télécoms et craint de ne rien trouver hors de Nouméa, pour ma part l objectif serait de trouver une petite affaire dans la restauration ou petite hotellerie!!

Allez-y d'abords madame, il se pourrait que la chance se trouve en brousse, si votre mari ne trouve pas d'emploi dans les télécom, vous partez en ville, vous n'aurez plus d'autre choix.

Tu as raison, on trouve des infos sur Nouméa mais très peu sur la brousse.
Pour te donner une description d'une commune de brousse, c'est en gros une maire, une école, quelques commerces, un bureau de poste, parfois quelques antennes des administrations et c'est tout.
J'oublie l'essentiel, quelques centaines d'habitants, d'origines éthniques diverses et aux alentours des tribus en bord de mer ou dans la chaîne (ce sont les montagnes qui occupent toute la partie centrale de la Nouvelle Calédonie).
Tu peux traverser certaines communes sans vraiment te rendre compte de leur existance, quand tu vois le panneau "fin d'aglomération", tu te dis que tu as été trop loin!
L'essentiel de l'activité se trouve sur Nouméa (a l'exception des mines et de l'exploitation du nickel).
Les télécom sont gérées par l'OPT (office territorial des postes et télécommunications) qui a le monopole. C'est la fonction publique (un peu l'équivalent des PTT d'autrefois).
On y accéde essentiellement par concours, mais les chances sont quasiment nulles si on est pas calédonien d'origine. (t'es admis à l'écrit et comme par hazard t'es recallé à l'oral).
Le recrutement sur titre ne fonctionne pas mieux.
Par contre il faut voir du côte des entreprises privées qui opèrent dans l'installation d'équipements de téléphonie. A ma connaissance, c'est exclusivement sur Nouméa.
En ce qui concerne la restauration ou la petite hotellerie, la meilleure formule est effectivement de profiter d'un voyage sur place pour prospecter dans ce domaine.

En effet, je suis également à la recherche de contacts de gens habitants en brousse, surtout de grandes familles calédoniennes. En fait j'adore la vie en brousse, et les activités typiques d'un broussard :pêche, cheval (surtt tt ce qui touche aux chevaux), mais malheureusement j'ai très peu l'occasion de monter sur la brousse car très peu de contacts même si je suis moi même issu de grandes familles calédoniennes mais que je ne fréquente que très peu... J'aimerais pouvoir apprendre pleins de choses sur les chevaux (façons broussards on va dire) : élevage, monte, dressage, pour pouvoir m'éclater après dans des courses de stockmen...etc. Cela peut vous (tt ceux qui liront ce message) semblez ridicule, mais cela me tiens à coeur..
