Ce que dit bobcat est exact, les étrangers sont soumis à une certaine règlementation pour pouvoir venir travailler en PF. C'est vrai qu'il y en a qui bossent mais ils ne sont pas venus au hasard.
Donc, vous allez aller sur le lien www.service-public.pf et cliquer sur séjour et travail des étrangers en PF et vous aurez les réponses à vos questions.

Alors donc, pour rétablir la vérité : Oui les "étrangers" peuvent venir travailler en Polynésie Française, on leur paye même le billets d'Avion pour venir travailler dans l'ile de leur choix . Ils font seulement 35 h par semaines et le salaire minimum est de 3500 € par mois. Le logement est fourni aussi....

C'est vraiment impossible de travailler en Polynésie-Française? Pourtant sur le forum ya des gens qui le font ou qui l'ont déjà fait.
Si tu regardes bien, oui il y a des canadiens qui franchissent le pas mais ils ont un pied déjà en France de par leur moitié ou double nationalité. Pour mon cas je suis français, mais résident au Canada, donc aucun souci.
Je ne sais pas ce que vaudront les conseils suivants, mais je dirais que si tu te débrouilles pour obtenir un PVT à l'ambassade de France à Ottawa et que tu postules en PF, ça posera pas de problème pour te recruter. À priori je dis bien, le mieux étant de s'informer directement à l'ambassade.
Un PVT, c'est gratuit avant 26 ans mais attention aux quotas : si tu fais une demande en avril, tu as plus de chance qu'elle soit acceptée plutôt qu'en Octobre, où les quotas sont habituellement atteints.
Si tu fais toi même les démarches pour venir en PF et que tu as certaines compétences, je vois pas ce qui empêchera une entreprise de te recruter. Ce qui est plus tendu, c'est de compter sur l'entreprise pour te faire les papiers ou venir sans compétence clé.
Voilà, j'espère que ça apporte de l'eau au moulin...!

Ok donc cela est réalisable. Je suis diplômé en horlogerie-bijouterie alors faudrait donc que je me fasse des contacts dans ce domaine en PF car avec tous ces fermes perlières il doit y avoir des opportunités dans ce domaine.
Tout est toujours possible lorsqu'on se donne les moyens.
Voici le lien pour le VVT, même chose que le PVT pour les français, mais celui-ci destiné aux canadiens. Tu vois, c'est pas 26 ans mais 35 ans, ce qui te laisse de la marge. Vois si tu peux venir avec un VVT en PF, mais je verrai pas de souci vu que c'est un territoire français.
Si tu as d'autres questions, n'hésites pas. Je suis pas encore en PF mais j'ai une certaine expérience en matière de visa, passeport, droit de séjour et Cie.

Oui, la Polynésie est Française, mais c'est un POM avec une autonomie élargie qui lui confère certains pouvoirs et en matière de législation du travail, même si elle est quasi identique à la France, c'est quand même le Territoire qui a le pouvoir décisionnel en matière d'emploi des étrangers, donc encore une fois je vous dis, allez sur le lien www.service-public.pf et vous aurez toutes les réponses à vos questions.
Actuellement avec la crise politique économique et sociale que nous traversons, priorité est donné aux polynésien au niveau de l'emploi et c'est NORMAL! Je crois qu'au Cnada la législation est stricte avec les étrangers ??? Non ??
Ce n'est pas parce qu'il y a beaucoup de fermes perlières qu'il y a forcément autant d'emploi de bijoutier-horloger. Ca n'a rien à voir. Les perles sont une des ressources principales du pays et destinées en majorité à l'exportation, me^me si une petite partie est travaillée sur place.

En réponse à Kikounet, bien sûr que le Canada a les mêmes types de restriction que la PF concernant l'accueil des étrangers , mais cela ne doit pas être un vecteur de découragement pour les candidats (comme on le voit trop souvent).
En règle générale, on fait appel à des expatriés ou immigrés pour des talents et compétences clé. Je ne vois pas en quoi ça ne pourrait pas être le cas pour Nickeau. L'immigration, ce n'est pas juste une poignée d'étrangers qui volent le travail des locaux. C'est de la valeur ajoutée.
Qui ne tente rien n'a rien, et il vient simplement se renseigner sur le forum.
Si on partait tous avec l'optique que la PF est une destination élitiste pour franco-français et autres fonctionnaires... Bref, chacun cherche son chat, souhaitons-lui donc bonne chance dans ses recherches 🙂

spécialité ? Capacités ? valeur ajouté ?............Il ne faut pas faire réver si c'Est pour avoir des désillusions aprés......
Donc pour résuner encore une fois sur ce sujet récurrent : comme ailleurs dans le monde, les étrangers sont bienvenus en Polynésie comme touristes...........Pour l'emploi, c'Est possible si ils créent ou reprennent une activité OU Si un employeur sur place prouve au service du travail qu'il n'as pas trouvé localement quelqu'un de compétent localement et aprés trois annonces dans les journeaux etc......Ensuite, il fait une demande de Permis de Travail de un an (renouvelable dans les mêmes conditions.....) Je connais une argentine qui a bossé 20 ans dans une bijouterie et puis un jour, son permis de travail n'As pas été renouvelé.....Oups .......Dehors....😕

petite rectification pour le pvt, pour un canadien qui veut un visa d'un an valable sur le territoire français, le formulaire est disponible des le mois d'octobre sur le site, au mois d, avril les quotas seront atteints, comme cette année par exemple...la trousse de demande est a télécharger ici http://www.ambafrance-ca.org/spip.php?article1949
attention ce visa est valable un an, non renouvelable et surtout pour un voyage en france....donc pas forcement pour la pf ( tu vas pouvoir le vérifier grâce au lien que te donne kikounet.
je ne suis en pf que depuis une semaine mais je vois et je m'y attendais forcément que personne n'attend les français ici, il y aurai je pense assez de polynésiens pour remplir les listes du staff des hôtels, sans être rejetée je me rend bien compte que c déjà pour un français un privilège que de pouvoir résider et bosser ici....(je compte bien le leur rendre au quotidien!!!) donc effectivement pour un étranger la route doit être semée d'embuches....
il est évident ici (et surtout a bora) que la seule source de travail reste le tourisme, donc même si tous les grands hôtels continuent de recruter des métro, il est essentiel que les polynésiens restent grands prioritaires....

Mauruuru jesska d'apporter votre témoignage. Il faut que les gens comprennent que le tourisme est sensé être la première ressource du Pays et qu'il est normal que cela profite en priorité aux Polynésiens.

slut, la 1re et seule des choses a faire est une étude de marché, sur place et vous aurez la reponse... pensez tout de meme que s'installer en PF est difficile et qu'il faut avoir des reins solides au cas ou....
nana, mais d'autres seront de meilleurs conseils, je n'y habite plus.

Je suis de Tahiti...je me suis mariée en 78, mon mari m'a rejointe...en tant qu'architecte ayant de l'expérience, il a été engagé au SMIG....Licencié, il y a 3 ans par un patron qui prenait "soi-disant" sa retraite...il s'est rendu compte que, chaque fois qu'il prenait des vacances, le patron ne cotisait pas pour sa retraite...ça fait pas lourd à l'arrivée, alors on retrousse ses manches et on continue à bosser..Y a au moins SARKO que ça rend heureux....
C'est aussi ça TAHITI...
Quand on est étranger, il faut faire comme aux States, il faut trouver quelqu'un qui se porte garant (un employeur ou un correspondant) avec un contrat à l'appui ou sinon, c'est le parcours du combattant. Mais comme c'est juste pour quelques mois, bonjour la galère. C'était comme si tu venais pour des vacances.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
