J'ai passé l'entretien le 27 janvier. A l'origine c'était pour le programme de six mois work and study, mais au final je pars en merchandising...

Le changement de programme n'était absolument pas prévu! En fait, j'ai reçu un mail disant que j'étais acceptée pour le work and study et sur liste d'attente pour connaitre la date de départ (soit avril, soit juillet). La semaine d'après qqn d'IS m'a appelé pour me dire que vu des modifis de conditions de délivrance de visa, je ne pouvais pas faire partie de ce programme... parce que trop qualifiée!!! Et elle m'a alors proposé de partir un an en merchandising fin juillet. J'avoue que j'étais super déçue sur le coup, puis je me suis dit qu'il fallait qd même saisir l'opportunité. Et voilà!
Sinon je ne connais personne qui a passé les entretiens du 27 donc je ne peux pas t'en dire plus concernant les autres. Toi tu as donc postulé pour le work and study et ils ne t'ont tjs pas donné de réponse???
J'avoue, ça fait super long. Je suppose qu'appeler n'apporte pas plus d'infos...
Bah perso, j'ai dû insister pour avoir une confirmation écrite, enfin par mail. (Mais j'ai insisté vu que j'avais déjà été déçue une fois)
Les premières semaines sont vraiment intenables ...
Tous les jours : Boîte mail, boîte mail, boîte mail, même rituel. Et IS qui te dit, que ça va arriver.
Maintenant on n'y croit plus ou moins, ça dépend. Je me dis que ça viendra bien un jour, voila.
As-ton avis, dois-je rester optimiste ?
Quand j'attendais la réponse, je faisais pareil: je vérifiais mes mails tt le tps!
Concernant IS et les réponses, je sais pas quoi te dire. En règle générale, je me dis qu'il faut être optimiste. Si on ne croit pas en ses projets, qui va le faire pour nous. En tout cas, c'est ce que je me dis :)
J'imagine que tu dois etre décue mais surtout ne desespere pas! ton tour viendra!
J'ai passé les entretiens en Octobre dernier, et comme vous tous l'attente du verdict a été longue !!!
Quelle deception quand j'ai découvert que IS ne me proposait pas de dates pour le moment... fichue " liste d'attente".....
Et puis il y a un mois de cela, Valérie m'a recontactée pour me proposer une date de départ.... donc si tu veux vraiment partir il faut patienter...s'occuper et penser un peu à autre chose et au moment ou on s'y attends le moins IS refait surface !

Apres avoir passé les entretiens le 18 mars dernier moi aussi je viens de recevoir ma reponse et je pars le 8 décembre. S'il y en à qui sont dans le meme cas j'aimerai bien qu'on rentre en contact
coucou oz84 je vois que tu as ete accepté en merchandise pr un an fin juillet, moi en ce moment je sui a orlando en merchandise ossi je sui arrive le 3 fev, merchandise c super trankil ms on ne gagne pas bcq alor un conseil economise grave car il y a ke les serveurs ki mene la belle vie. sinon le taf est trankil les managers americains dc on parle qd meme anglais ossi avec les guests, en ce moment c cho en merch on taf bcd d'heures (cette semaine 53H) et disney a viré un de nos managers dc c la crise la, sinon l'ambiance entre ns est sympa si tu a dautre questions nesite pas.
Le soucis pour ce genre de poste c'est que tu es payé à l'heure et basta,
et aux Usa le salaire horaire n'est pas en plaqué or... genre 8$/heure
alors qu'en F&B même si tu es à 4, 5$/heure tu as 15/20% de tips (pourboires) sur les notes des clients... donc ça peut vite monter...
donc les postes en merchandise, attraction, bakery ne peuvent pas espérer bcp, même si le salaire de base est supérieur à celui serveurs, au bout du compte les serveurs gagnent bcp plus... mais bon après c'est aussi un taff super fatiguant
le soucis des horaires... c'est qu'avec 30h/semaine c'est la misère côté argent...mais à 50h/semaine c'est le rush et donc t'es fatigué...
bref faut prendre le rythme autant professionnellement que financièrement

non je n'ai pas participé au programme mais j'ai une copine qui y est, et j'ai retrouvé 2 anciennes connaissances qui l'ont fait, tous sont/étaient chefs de rang
après j'ai vachement trainé sur le net, sur les blog, lu les forums... avec tout ça tu peux te faire une bonne idée des conditions de travail et de rémunération en fonction des postes et des périodes de l'année...
moi j'attend la réponse, j'étais le 17 mars à Lyon pour les sélections, on devait avoir leur mail vendredi au plus tard, mais tjs rien... les postulants "chefs de rang" n'ont tjs pas de réponse... :(

on a passé les sélections mi-mars et on est en train de recevoir les réponses, les dates...
donc IS doit être occupé + + + pour gérer tout ça
attend quelques jours et recontacte les
à noter: ils recoivent des dizaines (voir centaines) de candidatures par jour... donc ya un délais de traitement d'autant plus en période de rush comme en ce moment

Bon comme je vous avez dit précédemment j'avais eu une date pour le programme de 6 mois en Juillet, en voyant vos messages comme quoi les programmes étaient annulées j'ai commencé à me demander pourquoi j'étais la seule à avoir une date... Et ben voilà j'ai moi aussi reçu un mail puis un appel de Valérie pour me dire que je ne pars plus le 19 Juillet.............. Je ne sais pas comment exprimer ma déception, j'avais passé l'entretien en Décembre et étais préparée psychologiquement. Du coup je lui ai dit que je voulais faire le programme d'un an quand même mais elle m'a mis sur liste d'attente. Ce qui m'énerve c'est qu'ils auraient du prévenir plus tôt, j'ai perdue 5 mois à espérer alors que si j'avais su j'aurais fait directement le programme d'un an et je serais partie avant ceux qui ont fait les entretiens de mars (car maintenant c'est bien parti pour que je parte après vous...) Je n'ai rien contre vous mais ça m'énerve qu'on me mette sur liste d'attente!

tu as rarement des reponses negative, (a moin d'etre une veritable brele en anglais), la je pense qu'IS est un peu occuper avec les selection de mars alor je sais pas si il vont te repondre tout de suite, mais logiquement si ton CV les interessent il t'envoi un mail et tu connai la suite je supose...

pour les sélectionnés de mars, ça s'étend de septembre à décembre majoritairement...
je sais qu'il y a des départs en juin et juillet, tu devrais peut-être faire un peu de "forcing", un mail (diplomatique) pour qu'elle te dise comment ça se passe désormais, quand peux-tu compter partir... etc... et ça me paraitrait tout à fait normal que tu partes avant ceux de mars (dont je fais partie lol)
bref bon courage... et te laisse pas abattre...
je pense que d'ici quelques jours IS sera plus dispo donc contacte les et demande des infos précises... c'est justifié...

juste pour que tu saches que "pavillon français" n'est pas égal à un seul poste,
c'est juste le lieu
là-bas tu peux bosser pour Chefs de France en service resto, boulangerie, cuisinier, pâtissier
ou alors dans les boutiques comme vendeur/vendeuse/démonstratreur...
donc il y a plusieurs postes différents en fonction de ton niveau d'anglais, de ton expérience, de ta dispo (6mois ou 12mois) et de ton envie bien entendu...
tu as en gros 2 gros programmes : celui de réprésentation cultuelle via Disney directement ou celui de Chefs de France (tous les postes dits "F&B" = food & beverage), les deux sont gérés en France par IS
moi j'aimerais bien en merchandise. Mais je comprend pas le poste hotesse d'attraction, c'est quoi comme type d'attraction? C'est pas bien expliqué...🙂
brainwave, moi en ce moment je sui en merchandise dc je peux texpliquer ce que font les hotes d'attraction car je les cotoie tte la journee.
l'attraction s'appelle "impressions de france" c un film sur les paysages francais c ttes les 1/2 heures donc si je me rapelle bien ils ont 3 positions, greeter (ils accueillent les guest dehors ) ensuite ils presentent le film avant de le lancer, il ne faut pas etre timide car tu parle au micro devant un public comme ds une salle de cinema et il y a kidcot (tu tampone les masques des enfants).
personnelement je prefere merchandise ya plus de position (par rapport aux shops) car en attraction tu tennui (yen a meme un ki voudrai changer pr merchandise) plus je trouve apres c a toi de voir ce que tu prefere.
pour moi le seul point positif en attraction c qu'avec la kidcot tu est assis pa comme ns en merchandise ou on se tape parfois des 10h de taf ds les pieds et tu as au bout de trois mois d'anciennete 3 jours off.
Si tu veux plus d'info nhesite pas car moi qd jatendais mon jour de depart jaurai aimé avoir plus dinfos car les gens st plus pr chefs de france et merchandise et attraction on a pa tro dinfo

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Ideally, I’d like to work part-time in a private hospital as an osteopath. I’m thinking that in Thailand, the medical field is much more open than in Europe!!! Has anyone seen an osteopath or chiropractor working in a Thai hospital? Do you know the price of a consultation?

We mainly speak French, with a basic level of Spanish and English, and we’re ready to improve these two languages if needed. We’re looking for a multicultural, safe country with quality healthcare and good schools accessible for our son. We’d also love a pleasant place with a mild climate where life is good.
