I'm really late to this travel journal because I just got back from a long trip where I didn't check the forum at all. But now, what do I see? A story from my favorite Ardennes local, who's so talented at making us laugh. So I read it all in one go, even the congratulations. And I also say bravo and thank you.

Hi there,

Thanks for your story! I’m heading to Indonesia next week for 3 months—I’m also a bit last-minute and flying by the seat of my pants like you... I’ve got a question about scooter rentals: how did you handle that? Is it easy even in less touristy areas? Did you always do loops, or were you able to rent in one city and drop it off in another?

Thanks in advance for your reply! ;)

Hi Olivier, Yeah, you can do one-way rentals each time by picking up the scooter in one place and dropping it off at the same spot. It’s possible to do it between different cities, but not all rental shops offer it, and the extra fees are steep. After that, I’d rent the day before for the big day by contacting/negotiating with the rental shops via WhatsApp. Have a great trip—you’re gonna love it! Franck
