Hey everyone! 🙂 The reflection challenge worked great—everyone jumped in right away!!! Since I’m traveling for work, I don’t have my photo stash with me to launch a new challenge... So why not keep going with the challenge started by Jijanni and mcgayver about bursts of color, whether in the city, with people, or in nature?

For now, I’ll just enjoy your photos, but watch out—I’m already plotting my comeback in my head!

Even though I’ve been to the U.S. eight times, I’m not much of a national-park person, and I’ve only visited two: Death Valley and Alcatraz. So most of the photos in this thread don’t really do much for me. But your Saint-Malo shot? That’s absolutely gorgeous—I’m totally sold! 😇

A burst of colors in the city? Like Katia, the first thing that came to my mind was one of the Bellagio’s flowered ceilings made of Murano glass:

Hello Guillaume,

Wow, that’s gorgeous!

I haven’t had the chance to see Joshua Tree NP in bloom—I was there on June 30 (2016).

When was this photo taken?

Have a great evening!

Good evening Christine,

I didn’t get the pleasure of seeing Joshua Tree NP in bloom—I was there on June 30 (2016).

What date was the photo taken?

On February 20th, under a very gray sky. Between the South Entrance and the Lost Palms Trail trailhead (which you actually did, if I remember correctly), it’s a real carpet of flowers in multiple colors, though the two standout shades (which pair perfectly) are yellow and violet. I can only imagine how it looks under the sun... Have a great evening! Guillaume

hi,

I see what you mean but if BUD had wanted to save on blue paint... they could’ve done their ad in Morocco in Chefchaouen: the whole town is painted blue all year round :)

that said, I like blue even when it’s got nothing to do with beer... like at the Denver Convention Center.

ahhhhhhhhhh.... finally home, I couldn't wait any longer!!! 😕

So I'm treating you to my illustrations of colors with: - the color of life through a pretty girl (though I could've picked a handsome guy). This is in San Francisco, a huge costume party organized on an entire street, blocked off for the occasion.

- the unbridled colors of the rocks, Death Valley

- the colors of the dishes!

-a beautiful mural in SF (Haight Ashbury neighborhood)

- the incredible contrasts of Lake Powell and the rocks lining it (near Page, at Wahweap)

... I could easily share a few more, but I've already pushed it!

Okay, I'm ready to set a new challenge—I've got some ideas... but tell me, don’t you have any challenge ideas too? First one to jump in sets the next theme!
