Thanks for this wonderful account—it makes me want to discover this country, especially its wildlife! Personally, I’ve never been to Africa, but I dream of taking my 9-year-old grandson on a safari. You didn’t mention the budget. Before making this decision, could you share what yours was? I’m assuming we’d need a guide. lanach

Hi Lanach,

My budget was significant because we traveled for three full weeks with a local small agency. So it’s not a good benchmark for calculating yours. I can only advise you to get a quote for the itinerary and number of days you want. And you’re right to try to take your grandson there. He’ll come back amazed, especially if he loves animals! 🙂

There’s so much to do in Indonesia, but we can’t fit it all into a single trip right now. So we’ll have to pick and choose and come back later to see the rest 😄

Of course, I understand... Especially since there are four of you. The budget is already quite substantial for just one person, so...

Have a great day.

The title of this travel journal really lives up to its name, thanks Mathilde.

Incredible all these beautiful observations. I’m not sure—were you there in 2017 or 2016?

Because we were there in July 2017, and it’s funny how we had such different experiences at Nxai Pan and Moremi (and even at Chobe River Front where we didn’t see any lions). I’ll look into how to visit Khwai for a future trip. It’s really inspired me. 🙂

Hi Pierre,

We were there in August 2017, and it was truly incredible. We really feasted our eyes. This year, we're heading to Namibia on our own, and I hope it'll be just as amazing. And I'm glad I could inspire you! 🙂
