Good evening Pinacoladada, Wow! I just spent a wonderful evening sitting in my living room discovering Ireland through your fascinating, well-structured, and well-documented story. Thank you for all the incredible work you put into those references. I’m moving this country—the homeland of my partner’s ancestors—back to the top of my list. Lyse

Thanks so much, Lyse.

We have something in common: my partner’s ancestors are Irish too. 🙂

Have a great day!

Congratulations!!!!! You did an amazing job capturing your trip. I’ve been to Ireland too, and you’re making me want to go back. Well done!!

Thanks Sylvie!

So glad to hear my story inspired you to return to Ireland.

Hopefully the opportunity comes up for you again.

We discovered so many attractions, but it’s still just a drop in the bucket compared to everything Ireland has to offer.

Have a great day!

Thanks Anne for this amazing travel journal about your stay in Ireland. I just spent my evening reading your stories and watching your stunning videos. I’m planning a motorcycle trip with my partner along the Wild Atlantic Way in September 2018. All your tips will be really helpful for organizing this trip, which I hope will be incredible and stay etched in our memories. Best regards, Pascal

Good evening Pascal,

Thank you for your kind comments!

You’re going to have a memorable stay in Ireland—I’m sure of it. And on a motorcycle, no less!

My partner and I each used to ride motorcycles. We did so for several years.

The most important thing during your stay in Ireland will be the weather, which I hope will be very favorable for you.

Have a great evening!

Hi Anne,

I regularly read your travel journals and I’m so grateful for them! I actually followed your Iceland one, which was super helpful and just perfect!!! (Iceland is amazing...)

If you can, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this Ireland trip, please: is it one of your favorites? What’s your takeaway from it?

We’re planning it for July 2019; the landscapes seem to always look the same, and we’re hesitant to finalize it.

Thanks so much for your reply :-) Isabelle

Hi Isabelle,

If you loved Iceland, you’d also enjoy Ireland because this country is packed with incredibly beautiful natural sites too.

If you like hiking through otherworldly landscapes, it’s the perfect spot—and the trails are well-marked!

If you prefer historical sites, there are plenty of those as well.

The country also has stunning beaches.

And if you enjoy going out, there’s no shortage of places to do so. The vibe is guaranteed!

Irish people are very welcoming. In fact, we were warmly received at all the accommodations we’d booked before our trip.

Yes, Ireland is one of our top favorites, just like many other countries we’ve visited. It’s actually hard to choose!

If I were you, I’d add Ireland to your "to-do list"—you won’t regret it.

Hi Anne,

My partner and I just got back from a motorcycle trip along the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. We left home on September 5th and returned on the 16th.

Apart from two solid days of rain (from when we got off the ferry until KILLARNEY and during our visit to the DINGLE peninsula), we had great weather. But we were well prepared with our rain suits.

We mostly rode the Wild Atlantic Way, starting from CORK and following the south and west coasts up to WESTPORT (north of Connemara).

We loved the varied landscapes, the courtesy and thoughtfulness of the Irish people. At every Airbnb we’d booked, we were welcomed warmly.

Our top picks were the Ring of Kerry (with the Gap of Dunloe) and Connemara.

We’re already thinking of going back (probably in 2020) to finish our tour of Ireland by visiting Donegal, Northern Ireland, and the east coast.

Thanks again for all your travel ideas and recommendations—they helped us have an amazing trip.

Best regards, Pascal

PS: In 2019, we’ll be doing a motorcycle road trip in Corsica (France).

Thank you so much, Anne, for your quick reply.

We’re also hesitating with Scotland; we thought about doing both, but it’s just not possible in 16 days...

From what you’re saying, this destination sounds perfect, and I think we’ll be there very soon! (Flights from Nice are super cheap—only 130 €...)

We’ll rent a camper or, like you, book accommodations or hotels depending on availability.

Best regards,

Isabelle 🙂
