Bonjour, J'ai 34 ans, célib, Nationalité Portugaise, je travaille actuellment dans un hotel Luxembourg, je parle 6 langues (pas bac, ni BTS; dans ma jeunesse les études étaient payants, et ma famille n'avait pas les moyens, j'ai acquis expérience hotels, réception, vendeuse, hotesse, polyvalente koi, j'ai quelques certificats travail horesca).J'ai mon petit appart, ma voiture, mais pas heureuse et ralbol de ce climat et pays... j'ai l'impression de stagner...(ma vie).
Je rêve de partir vivre dans un ile (j'aime les iles) ou il fait beau toute l'année!
J'avais pensé partir au Brésil (je parle Portugais) et ce n'est pas chér, cependant trop dangereux (ils kidnapent les europeans=$)
Si je calcule une ile ou il fait beau toute l'année, et un niveau de vie (stable), il n'y a pas trop de choix ( en plus sans avoir besoin de visa :-) il me reste la Reunion, ou Polynesie, et je sais pas pourquoi, la Polynesie M'attire.
Je pense tout vendre (appart, voiture)mettre affaires personnels dans garde meubles, et partir une année = tahiti.
Ceux qui ont tout plaqué et on fait cette aventure, svp racontez moi, donnez moi des conseils et si possible aidez moi dans cette démarche.

Il faut que tu saches que tout quitter pour vivre en Polynésie peut te provoquer un choc important, de plus les régimes concernant l'emploi, la sécurité sociale sont totalement différent qu'en Europe. Il est vrai que la Polynésie fait rêver mais la vie y est excessivement cher du aux taxes d'importations. Etre audidacte est une bonne chose pour toi et ton avenir je pense. Mais réfléchi bien.
J'ai également effectué un sejour à la Reunion, les réunionais sont aussi chaleureux que les polynésiens, mais je ne peux t'en dire davantage.

Climat tropical = alternance saison "sèche"/moussons (+ cyclones éventuellement)
Les îles paradisiaques sous la pluie, c'est très, très moyen, surtout sans structures style cinémas, bibliothèques, etc... même lorsque tu es très bien logé
As-tu fait une recherche pour consulter les messages concernant la Polynésie (difficultés d'installation, de recherche d'emploi, niveau de vie, météo etc...) ? : tu cliques sur l'onglet "rechercher" rechercher par destination : Océanie, Polynésie Française
et tu as les discussions par thèmes.
La rubrique "travailler, étudier et vivre en Polynésie" avec la discussion "travailler au St Régis sur Bora" (entre autres) révèle un quotidien qui ne fait pas forcément rêver...
Autre recherche : par mot-clé et autres options rechercher les messages postés par le membre : là tu entres "bobcat" ou "kikounet" ou "ericmoorea" (habitant ou ayant habité la Polynésie)
Ils ont posté énormément de messages en ce sens, pleins d'infos pratiques et mises en garde.

Sans entrer dans le détail car il y a bcp à dire sur la Polynésie, c'est vrai que la vie est chère.J'etais àTahiti en 97/98(déja!!!)et je pense que ca a pas mal changé depuis, je bossé en restauration a l'époque et j'avais un pote déja sur place donc pour loger en arrivant je n'etais pas pris au dépourvu;pour le taf, j'ai trouvé un CDI au bout de 2 jours!!!!en tant que second de cuisine au Paradise;de memoire je faisais dans les 240000cfp;ce qui était suffissant pour mes besoins du moment, je suis tombé raide dingue du fenua et de ses habitants;j'ai eu la chance de bosser avec des tahitiens pur jus qui m'ont "adopté"et avec qui j'ai partagé de magnifiques moments de bonheur:mariage, repas tahitien et fétes en tout genre, tout les prétextes sont bons pour jouer de la musique, chanter et..boire!!
je pense que je vivais bien a l'epoque mais je me contentais de peu, j'ai fait, beaucoup de stop(ca marchait super bien) et de truck au début, puis je me suis acheté une petite fiat, par contre c'est vrai que la circulation est démente et ca n'a pas du s'arranger avec le temps!!!
je suis parti pour des raisons purement familliale et non a cause d'une quelconque lassitude mais c'est vrai que j'ai pu faire les iles sous le vents a plusieurs reprises et que c'est le jour et la nuit avec Papeete;qu'est ce que cela aurait été si j'avais fait Les Marquises?
Pour conclure je ne sais pas si je refairai la méme chose aujourd'hui mais pas a cause du fenua mais plutot la peur de ne pas revivre les mémes sensations aussi intensements et l'amour perdu(c'est une autre histoire mais qui fait aussi parti du charme!)

Rien de tou celà !!! J'ai 34 ans, j'ai beaucoup voyagé, vécu, passer par les têmpetes de la vie, et j'ai fait le bilan :
Je rêve de vivre au soleil, j'aime les iles, alors, j'ai envie de quitter tout ce "matériel" pour aller là où mon coeur me porte, dans ce cas au tahiti ! Ce n'est pas un coup de folie, ni fuir, ni caprice !
Je ne suis pas une gamine, et je ne veux pas jouer au Robinson... Je n'ai pas besoin de tout ce matériel, mais j'ai besoin de me sentir libre (pas faire la vie comme mme et mr tout le monde, assouvir la folie matérielle de la société).
Tout ceux qui ont fait ce pas, pouvent me comprendre, et j'aimerais le maximum d'infos sur tahiti et ceux qui ont vecu des expériences pareils, tout quitter sans fuir, mais se retrouver... y être heureuse.
Je parle 6 langues, pas be bac, mais expérience dans hotels, réception, salle, bar, etc. Et toute ma vie je me suis débrouillé, alors je veux vivre une vie en accord avec mon mental et coeur. Merci à tous.

si ta belle petite vie "a lux"ne te satisfait pas avec tout ce qui s'y rapporte c'est que tu as besoin d'autres choses et si tu sais écouter ton coeur, tu trouvera le bonheur sur le fenua.
je n'idéalise pas la vie la bas, il y a aussi des cotés +sombres mais la balance penche vers le "paradis sur terre"

je suis moi-même dîplomée en éducation spécialisée en activités sportives mais on me dit que j'aurais nettement plus de chance à trouver un job dans tout ce qui est tourisme dû aux langues ....
J'espère pouvoir trouver qch ... au moins avoir une piste avant mon départ ... j'en ai eu mais rien qui m'intéresserait à long terme ...

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
