Bonjour, je me présente Marylou, 19 ans, je vie actuellement sur l'île de la Réunion.
Avec mon conjoint on souhaiterai partir en année sabbatique pour octobre 2017. On a beaucoup d'idée mais trop d'idée donc j'aimerai de l'aide pour organiser ça et avoir des conseils de passionner du voyage. Nous allons partir avec un peu d'argent mais pas assez pour subvenir à notre voyage complet.
L'idée qu'on a eu c'est d'aller au Québec pendant 3 mois pour trouver un travail, économiser un peu d'argent et surtout apprendre l'anglais. L'objectif utopique serait de faire l'Amérique du Nord pendant quelques mois et ensuite l'Amérique du Sud.
Durant cette année on aimerai faire un mois de mission humanitaire et le reste du temps serait de voyager et de trouver des petits boulots, pour quelques jours, est ce possible en Amérique ?
L'objectif c'est que ce voyage ne nous coûte pas trop cher🤪.
Pour nous loger j'ai pensé à un camping car, aux auberges de jeunesses, ou en famille d’accueil. J'aimerai vos avis.
Je ne sais pas par ou commencer pour organiser ça, quels organismes contacter.. J'ai vraiment besoin d'aide pour pouvoir réaliser mon rêve.

Bonjour Alain, à vrais dire le Québec de l'Ile de la Reunion est plus accessible que New York par exemple.. Puis je ne sais pas vraiment parler Anglais alors un peu de Français à côté me rassurerai .. 🤪
Vous risquez de ne jamais parler anglais au Québec... À l'extérieur de Montréal, peu de villes ont une grosses communauté anglophone, et ils parlent presque tous français. À Montréal, il y a bien les gens de l'ouest de l'ile, mais encore là...
Pensez plutôt à Ottawa, où les gens parlent relativement bien français mais où la première langue est l'anglais.
Par ailleurs, pour travailler, il vous faudra un visa...
De un, pourquoi aller spécifiquement au Québec pendant 3 mois pour économiser de l'argent? Il vous faudra vous installer (logement, transport, assurances, etc.), et en 3 mois vous ne gagnerez pas grand-chose. Qui plus est, ça peut prendre quand même quelques semaines, voire mois pour trouver un boulot...Ça serait beaucoup plus logique que tu économises DANS TON PAYS et que tu viennes simplement pour visiter la province...non?
Ensuite, je confirme qu'on ne vient pas au Québec pendant 3 mois dans le but d'apprendre l'anglais. Il est possible d'apprendre l'anglais au Québec, mais seulement à long terme, en ayant un emploi permanent dans un environnement anglophone par exemple. Mais sinon...aucun sens. Personne, dans une province francophone, ne s'adressera à vous en anglais quand ils vont entendre ton accent...surtout qu'au Québec, les Français nous on les détecte à 10 km à la ronde 😛
Ensuite, tu parles de mission humanitaire en Amérique du Sud, ce qui est plutôt vague...De un, l'Amérique du Sud c'est grand en titi, et de deux une mission humanitaire il y a de toutes sortes...quelles sont tes compétences, qualifications, intérêt? Il faudrait être plus précise sur le type de mission (soigner les malades au Guatemala, ce n'est pas comme s'occuper des animaux dans un refuge du Brésil...). Au fait, pourquoi tu tiens à faire du bénévolat à l'étranger? Que recherches-tu à travers cela?
Et aussi, tu sembles viser un voyage à budget très modeste (que tu ne précises pas d'ailleurs)...quelle est ton expérience de voyage antérieure? Parfois, la réalité est moins rose qu'on s'y attend. Par exemple, les auberges de jeunesse c'est pas cher, mais le confort est très minimal, etc. Quant aux familles d'accueil, bien il faut plutôt viser des trucs comme Couchsurfing (voir leur site web), autrement les gens n'accueillent pas gratuitement des étrangers comme ça.

Une année sabbatique (12 mois), ça semble long mais en fait, ça passe vite. Vaut mieux se concentrer sur une région en particulier, au lieu d'en faire plusieurs un peu partout. L'Amérique n'est pas comme l'Europe, ça ne se parcourt pas aussi facilement.
Et finalement, il ne faut pas négliger la question des visas, permis de travail...on ne débarque pas dans un pays étranger pour aller travailler sans avoir l'autorisation du pays hôte.
Comme tu vois, beaucoup d'interrogations à te poser à toi-même pour mieux définir ton projet 😉.

Je pense qu'elle peut laisser tomber le PVT canada si elle compte partir en octobre 2017.
Pour les PVT de cette année, il y a déjà eu 7337 invitations pour 6550 places. En gros, Les seules places qui restent pour le PVT sont les places des gens qui refusent l'invitation ou qui ne sont pas acceptés (dossier incomplet, non respect des délais ...)
Ah et pour information, le PVT c'est valable 2 ans au canada et pas 1 an ;-)

Désolée de vous contredire, mais particulièrement dans les campagnes, peut de gens parlent anglais. Même s'ils sont bilingues, ce qu'ils parlent au quotidien et à la maison, c'est le français.
n'importe quelle autre province du Canada sera plus appropriée pour apprendre l'anglais.
Mais il est vrai que nous sommes accueillants et généreux! :-)

Comme je l'ai mentionné, même si plusieurs québécois ont une base d'anglais , ils ne le parlent pas couramment. Et surtout, ils ne se forceront pas pour le parler avec un autre francophone.
Si un francophone veut apprendre l'anglais au Quebec, il doit aller à l'université en anglais ou ne jamais sortir du West Island de Montréal ou du gettho McGill. Et encore...
C'est comme un hispanophone qui irait dans les pays basques espagnols pour apprendre le français. Ça n'a juste pas de sens...

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
