question simple et courte, ma carte d'identité est périmée de 10 ans. cependant il y a une extension de 5 ans. cela pose t'il des problèmes pour l'embarquement (Transavia) ?

Nous souhaitons faire un week end à Grenade. La carte d'identité de mon mari est périmée depuis 2018 d'apparence mais véritablement valable jusqu'en 2023.

J'ai lu que l'Espagne ne s'est pas prononcée sur l'extension de validité et j'ai aussi lu qu'il faut présenter un document en espagnol (document que j'ai trouvé sur le site du ministere des affaires étrangères) pour expliquer tout cela en cas de problème à l'arriver.

Je recherche des témoignages ! Qui a eu à voyager avec une telle carte ? est ce véritablement un problème ? Dois je craindre de me faire refouler ? merci pour vos retours d'expérience.

Bonjour, Nous partons en famille en Sardaigne dans 10 jours, et nous nous apercevons ce jour qu'une de nos filles venant d'avoir 18 ans a sa carte périmée depuis le 31 mai 2020. Nous partons avec AIR FRANCE de Roissy. Pouvez-vous nous dire si en ayant une attestation de demande de renouvellement et la CNI périmée, cela est possible de partir en vacances. La seule carte avec photo qu'elle a est sa carte vitale. On aura sur nous le livret de famille, s'il le faut. Nous vous remercions vivement de votre aide.

Bonjour, Cela fait 3h que je me bats avec le site de e-visa (https://www.thaievisa.go.th/) pour faire accepter ma/mes photo(s), systématiquement refusées. Pareil pour le scan de mon passeport. Pourtant ce n'est pas faute d'avoir respecté les conditions de poids de fichier, puis les consignes pour la(es) photos dont une de la série a d'ailleurs été acceptée pour mon visa Cambodgien l'année passée. Et désormais, le site plante. Cela me désespère. D'autres personnes ont-elles subi le même (mauvais) sort ? Avez vous trouvé une alternative ?

We’ll be applying for a retiree OA visa by September. For our part, we’ll head back to France for a bit and return a month BEFORE our current OA visa expires to renew it at immigration. We’ve emailed several immigration offices but haven’t gotten any responses. We’ve searched online for info but haven’t found anything. What we’re really interested in is knowing which documents they’ll ask for at the immigration office in Phang Nga, for example, for our renewal. We’ve seen all the paperwork needed for the initial OA visa on the official online visa application site... but for the renewal, do we need to provide ALL the same documents? Thanks in advance

The consulate tells me my French residence permit needs to be valid for at least 6 months after I leave Egypt, but my permit will only be valid for 5 months and a few days by my departure date from Egypt. Depuis presque un an , pour pouvoir renouveler son extension d'un an du visa OA en Thaïlande , il faut en plus des documents habituels, présenter un certificat d'assurance qui couvre un minimum de 40 000 baht en ambulatoire et 400 000 bahts en hospitalisation , pour couvrir les frais d'hôpitaux en cas d'accident

Voici une assurance qui pourrait convenir avec des montants raisonnables

Sauf , il apparaît deux sorte de franchises , une a 100 000 bahts et une autre a 200 000 bahts qui baissent le montant de l'assurance

Une membre pourrait expliquer a quoi correspond cette franchisse

We’re heading to Southeast Asia for several months as a family with two teens (10 and 13). The first country we’re visiting is Cambodia. I’m having an issue with the e-visa—it won’t accept any of the documents I’m attaching. I’ve validated all four e-visas and received the registration numbers, but when I check the application, it shows no attachments. I’ve tried multiple times in different formats (PDF, JPEG, PNG), whether compressed or not, but there’s always a red cross next to the documents.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

So happy the forum is back—I’ve been part of it since 2012! ☺️

After lots of twists and turns with Sri Lanka’s visa (called ETA) over the past few months, here’s a quick recap of the current situation for travelers:

- You need to get an ETA, either online or on arrival. I recommend doing it online because it’s cheaper (here’s a step-by-step guide to avoid common pitfalls: https://www.tongsetsrilanka.com/mode-demploi-pour-eta-au-sri-lanka)

- It’s valid for 30 days and costs $50 online or $60 on arrival.

- It was supposed to be free starting October 1st, but due to the elections and Parliament being dissolved, that didn’t happen. Stay tuned in December in case the topic comes up again.

- The online ETA is recorded in your passport, so you don’t need to show any documents, but I’d still recommend traveling with the confirmation.

- If you didn’t receive the confirmation email, you can check the status on the official ETA website.

- The only official site is eta.gov.lk. Watch out for agency websites pretending to be the official one.

- Avoid filling out your ETA on the French version—it’s buggy. Use my guide and do it in English instead. 😅

Hi, I just had a really bad experience leaving for Thailand with Etihad Airways, along with my partner and her 11-year-old son. We were denied boarding because the child’s passport was invalid (by about 3 days), as it’s indeed required to have 6 months of validity. But come on—just 3 days over! On top of that, we were able to check in online for our round-trip flight (just the flights, no extras), entered our passport numbers and expiry dates, and even had to check in online again 30 hours before departure, where we got our boarding passes without any issues. How is it possible that no one called, warned, or even blocked us online? Instead, they waited to tell us at the airport during baggage check-in. I’ve asked the airline for a full refund of our expenses—do I have any chance? Thanks for your help

Due to unforeseen circumstances—a earthquake in Bangkok—I couldn’t get my visa for Indonesia in time, and my Thailand visa exemption expires on April 13. I’d like to extend my stay in Thailand by 30 days so I have time to apply for an Indonesian visa, as the procedures are on hold until April 8 due to the end of Ramadan celebrations and Nyepi (Bali).

I’m currently in Prachuap Khiri Khan and would like to know which is the nearest immigration office that can extend my visa exemption?

Just to note, I’ve heard conflicting info: it seems there’s an office in Dan Singkhon and another in Hua Hin. The first one is much closer—could someone confirm if it’s still operational for this kind of procedure, or do I have to go all the way to Hua Hin?

Avec mon épouse nous avons le projet de faire un voyage de 2 mois composé comme suit: Départ le 3 février 2020 de Marseille Marignane pour Bangkok, retour le 3 avril ( Soit un AR de 2 mois) Nous ne comptons pas séjourner 2 mois en Thaïlande, mais les 15 premiers jours, puis une excursion de 30 jours environ au Cambodge et revenir en Thaïlande jusqu'à notre retour en France. Peut on entrer avec un visa gratuit en Thaïlande ( de 30 jours ), sortir du pays au bout de 15 jours pour un mois et y revenir avec ce même visa ? Je ne réussis pas à comprendre et les réponses sur le sujet sont très variées. En somme j'espère pouvoir entrer en Thaïlande avec ce visa gratuit de 30 jours, mais est il valable pour les 30 jours après mon arrivée ou pour 30 jours de séjour effectif ?

Je pensais donc faire un aller retour en Bolivie afin de renouveler mon visa. Mais est-ce que je peux faire cela plusieurs fois ? Je compte rester 1 année entière au Pérou, est-ce que j'ai le droit de renouveler 3 fois mon visa en sortant du pays ? Parce que j'ai lu qu'on pouvait rester seulement 183 jours par an dans le pays, j'ai donc tres peur qu'on me refuse l'entrée lors du deuxieme aller retour avec la Bolivie. Hello everyone, Here’s the follow-up to our recent experience (5/11). Upon arrival at Manila T3, don’t look for the immigration office before passport control (this was info we’d gathered but turned out to be outdated). Go through passport control with your eTravel, grab your luggage with a trolley because the obstacle course begins. Head toward the exit hall, turn right, exchange a minimal amount at one of the two counters, continue toward Burger King, turn right, take the elevator at the end of the corridor to the 3rd floor (departure area), then turn right as you exit the elevator, head to the right, go around the big pillar on the left, and you’ll reach the immigration office that will process your extension quickly for the modest sum of 4070 pesos (the price increased due to a new tax as of June). This little route will save you from asking a thousand questions and getting just as many different answers. Next, logically, buy a local SIM card. There are two small kiosks side by side on the ground floor, Smart and Globe. Prices here are triple what you’ll find in the city, but honestly, if I had to do it again, I’d get both SIMs at the airport. For one simple reason: it’s a hassle in the city—you have to find the shop in a mall, go there, wait in line, explain what you want, and it takes forever. We got a Globe SIM at the airport and a Smart SIM in Baguio, and we really struggled. The cheapest rate offered by Globe at the airport is 1500 PHP for 1 month, with calls and 80GB of internet. It’s oversized, but be careful—they’ll try to sell you an even more expensive SIM upfront (2500 PHP). Smart offers roughly the same terms. It’s pricier, but it’s a turnkey solution—the hostess handles registration with the authorities (passport, etc.) and configures your phone. Finally, almost at the far right, there’s a Grab kiosk (taxis, the Asian Uber, which I highly recommend—it’s so convenient!). They’ll arrange a safe taxi for you no matter your destination in Manila. Watch your belongings during all these tasks that keep you occupied—a tourist had their bag stolen while we were there! All this took us two hours from the moment we got off the plane, but you’ll likely save time with these tips. There you go—you’re ready to face Manila’s traffic jams on your way to your hotel. From what I’ve read here and there, I need a return ticket valid for less than a month when I arrive in the Philippines to prove my good faith. After that, I can apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office. I’m planning to either buy a fully refundable ticket to the nearest country or a fake ticket. For 3 months, I’ll need to extend my visa two more times before my return date to France. My question is this: Will immigration ask me each time I extend my visa by one month to show proof of an exit ticket matching the new visa extension date? Let me explain. I’m cutting it close for arriving around Chinese New Year in Guizhou. There are very few options to maximize (30 days) my stay—otherwise, it’s more like 25 days. I’ve found a "possibility," but for the return flight, the plane is scheduled at 12:50 AM, which is 50 minutes after midnight. So my question is: at what point am I considered "to have left China"? Hello, We’re planning to travel to Indonesia (Sulawesi with family) next July and August for a stay longer than a month (about 6 weeks). I’ve seen that it’s possible to get a 60-day visa before departure, but I’ve also read about people having a lot of trouble getting it (some even didn’t manage and had to leave without it). We absolutely need to have these 4 visas BEFORE leaving because once we’re in Sulawesi, I’m not sure we’ll be able to go to an embassy to request a visa extension after 30 days.

In short, how can we **100% guarantee** that we’ll get our 4 60-day visas before our trip this summer?
