Décidément tu m'es d'une aide très précieuse, et je te remercie du temps que tu passes à me répondre.
Suite à ton appréciation de Abeys, mon amie et moi sommes allés voir son site, et nous nous laisserions bien tenter par une excursion il nous en a proposer plusieurs, et je voulais avoir ton avis avant de faire notre choix. d'abord saches que nous ne sommes pas trop porté sur les églises, mais plus par la visite de beaux sites ou de belles rencontres dans des tribus. Je te joins le mail d'abeys dessous si tu pouvais nous donner ton avis, et en combien de temps faut il prévoir par excursion. ADADI MARIAM, MELKA KUNTURE & TIYAAn excursion trip to Adadi Mariam, the cave church is located about 90 km south of
Addis Ababa, dating back to the
Lalibela era. It is one of the holiest places in the region. The area has spectacular scenery, surrounded by beautiful hills. Proceed to Melka Kunture that lies near the
Awash Gorge and archaeological site (dating back to over 1.5 million years old) is believed to be the home of Neolithic man.
Our final stop will be at
Tiya, termed by UNESCO as a world Heritage site. Visit the peculiarly engraved stelae that are believed to have been erected between the 12th and 14th century. Drive back to Addis observing the scenery en route.
DEBRE LIBANOS & JEMMA RIVER GORGEAbout 100 km north of
Addis Ababa lies the 13th century monastery of Debre Libanos, which is an important monastic center for Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, the monastery was founded by the renowned 13th century mystic, Saint Tekle Haimanot. Here, visitors may combine history and culture with bird watching, as we drive through the Sululta Plain we can observe the Black-winged plovers, wattled Ibis, Blue-Winged geese, common Cranes and Wheat ears.
Nearby, the picturesque Jemma gorge is famed for its 16th century bridge known as the Portuguese Bridge. Observe the environs, some birdlife and probably the endemic Gelada baboon. Drive back to Addis observing the scenery en route.
WONCHI CRATER LAKEDrive westward from
Addis Ababa to
Ambo 125 kms to the town of
Ambo, the home of the very popular bottled
Ambo Mineral Water. Proceed to wonchi, and after your visit of the astonishing Lake Wonchi where visitors can observe the most spectacular sites in
Ethiopia -verdant forests, a lake with islands, all within the crater.
On your drive back to Addis visit the popular export quality red wine, enjoy the walk along the vineyard stretched out across the slopes.
