Après avoir contacté un ingénieur à la retraite chez qui j'ai fait du WWOOFing en 2009, il m'a envoyé un mail avec toutes les étapes à réaliser pour devenir ingénieur en
Australie. Et c'est pas de tout repos...
Je vous laisse le mail en anglais (si vous voulez bosser là-bas, vous allez devoir vous habituer à la langue de toute façon ;) et puis j'ai la flemme).
Le gros problème, c'est que les écoles d'ingénieurs françaises ne sont pas reconnues en
Australie, or il faut absolument une équivalence pour immigrer quand on a pas de sponsors (ie une entreprise ou un parent...). En conséquence, le moyen le plus simple est d'avoir déjà quelques années d'expérience dans un poste d'ingénieur.

1.
Get your qualifications assessed through the Engineers Australia Migration Skills Assesment
process. This can be done at any time after you graduate. This requires:
a. You must undertake an English language test through
IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
You are required to have achieved a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the four modules of speaking, listening, reading and writing in either the 'General Training' or 'Academic' version of the test. I note you can take the test in
Nantes
b. As French qualifications are considered as ‘non-recognised qualifications’, you have put together a Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) set out in section C of the booklet

Get a job as a professional civil engineer in Europe for at least year. Keep documented proof of employment eg payslips etc. In order to apply for a working visa you must provide evidence that you have been in paid employment
in the skilled occupation (in your case civil engineer) that you wish to apply for for at least 12 months in the 24 months immediately before applying.

Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175) which require a pass mark of 120 in the
‘points test’. This could be difficult but not impossible to pass if you have less than 3 years’ work experience as a civil engineer. You will need at least a score of 7 in each of the IELTS English test modules. You could try to get sponsored by an employer ; those types of visa have lower pass marks in the points test
