Voila, je dois partir à Tampa vers le 20 Aout pour deux mois. J'ai rencontré une famille Américaine lors d'un babysitting, à la fin de cette mission cette famille ma proposer de venir garder leur ptite fille de 2 ans chez eux à Tampa.
Nous avons garder contact au fil des mois et là je suis sur le point de partir ... et j'ai des craintes concernant le passage à l'immigration. Je m'explique : je vais partir moins de 3 moins comme l'indique le V.W.P (Visa Waiser Program) muni de mon billet retour, mais voila la famille est moi même ne sommes pas passer par une agence agrée pour "fille au pair", c'est un accord entre nous.
Que dit la loi à ce sujet la ??

La loi dit qq chose de très simple : si tu entres aux USA sans visa (passeport français) pour moins de 90 jours de séjour, tu y entres pour du tourisme et tu n'as pas le droit de travailler, même en babysitting.
A l'arrivée à l'aéroport on te demande où tu vas, où tu vas résider et ce que tu viens y faire. Si tu leur dis que tu vas chez des amis... ils vont pousser les questions et finiront par émettre la supposition....que tu viens travailler !
Et alors, au mieux ils te remettent dans le même avion, au pire avec une amende et une interdiction de revenir aux US pour ... 10 ans peut être !

Si tu n'as pas de visa pour travailler comme baby sitter, même sans être payée, tu risques ceci:
expulsion des Etats-Unis, sans possibilité de retour avant plusieurs années
aucune protection en cas d'accident pendant que tu travailles. Exemple: tu tombes des escaliers pendant tes heures de travail, tu te blesses gravement, et bien la famille se débarrasse gentiment de toi pour ne pas avoir d'ennuis avec les autorités.
aucune protection en ce qui concerne tes conditions de travail: tu ne pourras pas porter plainte, étant donné ton statut illégal.
pour travailler avec des enfants, il faut subir un examen médical
Bien entendu, des travailleuses illégales dans les familles, il y en a. À toi de voir si tu veux embarquer là-dedans, si tu le fais, sois au moins au courant des conséquences.

Pour obtenir ton visa, tu dois passer par une agence française agréée. Va voir le lien que je t'ai donné et contacte les. Une fois le visa obtenu, tu pourras demander ton # de sécurité sociale.

Je vais être un peu plus positive....je suis partie en juin 2005 en tant qu au pair à Washington avec un organisme. Avec cet organisme on a une semaine de "stage" à New York. Là bas j'ai rencontré une fille qui elle partait etre au pair a CApe cod !! Elle s'est super bien entendue avec sa host family et elle y est retourné l'été d'après pr bosser pr eux ! Et là elle est encore repartie cet été et elle n'a pas eu des soucis pr la douane car elle avait son billet retour et sa CB francaise !!!! La premiere fois qu elle y est retourné le douanier lui a simplement dit que ca paraissait un peu louche son histoire et elle a répondu qu elle était tt simplement là en vacance chez son ancienne famille et qu'ils avaient une autre au pair maintenant !
Le salaire par agence est de 130 ou 140 dollars pour 45 h de travail par semaine (baby sitting compris ds les 45h) tu dois avoir au moins un week end par mois et si tu n'as pas ts tes week end un jour et demi de congé consécutif ! ms normalement ds la majorité des familles tu as ts tes week end ! ms ma copine qui est en ce moment a Cape cod gagne 500 dollars par semaine ms elle bosse ts les jours de 8h du mat a 19h !!
C'est vrai que les csq si tu te fais choper st importantes ms tu as tres peu de chance de te faire prendre car même si tu te promenes avec la petite ds la rue et qu un flic te demande si tu es nanny tu leur dis non et que tu as rencontré la famille alors qu ils étaient en vacance en france et qu'ils t ont proposé de venir passer des vacances chez eux et que là t es simplement en promenade !! Ne dis a personne là bas que tu gagnes de l'argent pour éviter ts pb !

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
